Chapter 89 - Chapter 88: Death Of The All-Father

"Nooo!"

The Serpent's desperate, terrified roar echoed throughout the galaxy, reaching even the distant continent of Asgard. All the Asgardians, Casti, and the Sky Hammer Venerables heard the absolute zero freezing storm—a torrent of beautiful, devastating energy. It carried an overwhelming murderous intent, because anything it touched, be it life, matter, or even time and space, was instantly frozen at absolute zero.

The Serpent was no exception. As a celestial-level life form, its body and soul were extraordinary, far beyond the reach of lower beings. However, under the Aurora Execution, which destroys and freezes all things, the Serpent was completely immobilized. The planet it had been fighting on, now shattered, became its tomb. The image of the beautiful, crystal-clear ice layer surrounding the broken planet and the colossal frozen Serpent created an unparalleled visual shock.

This terrifying attack even made Odin, who was watching from afar, flinch in shock.

"That's a terrible attack, one that could kill any god," he muttered.

The word "god" here referred to celestials, and Odin knew that as Leon grew stronger, the power of this attack would also increase. Its speed and power were so immense that without an equally fast reaction and evasion, the only fate would be death, even for Odin himself.

"It's incredible," Odin thought, feeling a sense of relief about his choice. He hoped that Thor and Loki would grow up quickly, or they would be left behind by Leon's rapid progress.

As the Serpent's life and soul were frozen, everything returned to a calm silence. After Leon and Odin, the two peerless kings, exchanged a glance, they transformed into a streak of thunder and a golden beam of light, flying back to Asgard.

The lightning and golden light burst over the ground, and in an instant, the figures of Leon and Odin appeared before the countless Asgardians.

"The Serpent has been killed with the help of our friends! We have won this victory! My brave people and warriors, it was your courage that allowed you to fight evil and overcome fear! I am proud of you! You have protected the glory of Asgard!" Odin declared, raising the Eternal Spear, Gungnir. His voice boomed, reaching every ear in the kingdom.

"We won! Hahahaha! We won! All-Father Odin! And the great God-King from Midgard!"

"That was too strong! Even from here, I could feel the terrible power!"

"Did you feel the temperature drop?"

"No matter what, we've won! We should cheer and give flowers and applause to our brave warriors—Thor, Loki, the gods, and the gods from Midgard!"

After Odin's passionate speech, the Asgardian people, who had been trembling with fear, erupted in a torrent of cheers, shouts, and applause. The Asgardian warriors raised their weapons and banged their shields, creating a victorious roar. Everyone looked at Odin, Leon, Thor, Loki, and the other gods who had fought and contributed to the war with a mixture of worship and admiration. To them, these were heroes—the ones who had saved Asgard. The warm atmosphere and cheers made the war-torn ruins of Asgard feel lively once more.

"All-Father! King Leon!" Thor, Loki, and the other gods quickly approached them, bowing respectfully.

"You have done well. You overcame your fear, and I am proud of you," Odin praised them without hesitation.

Loki's eyes flickered, his usual calm expression showing a hint of emotion. He noticed that Odin was looking at him with a look of relief and satisfaction, which made his heart tremble. It was a feeling he had almost never experienced before. In the past, he had always felt that Odin was biased, that he was incompetent, and that he cared too much about plotting. But now, with his fearless performance, he had finally earned Odin's approval. In that moment, Loki's inner resentment seemed to diminish considerably.

Nearby, Ophelia and the other dozen or so Saints stood silently, guarding Leon. This time, they had not fought in the battle, but when the aftershocks from the Serpent's battle spread to Asgard, they had used their power to protect the entire kingdom. This act, and the power they displayed, earned them the respect of the Asgardian people. Ophelia and the others, of course, didn't care about such things.

"By the way, All-Father, what about those people?" Thor asked, as if he had just remembered something.

Odin, Leon, and the others looked at Cynthia and her group, who were being escorted by Asgardian warriors. The group seemed completely different now—confused, scared, and surprised. They were the people who had been possessed by the Sky Hammers.

Odin pondered for a moment before saying, "They are just people who were changed by the Serpent. Investigate their identities. If they are guilty, then judge them. If they are innocent, return them to their homelands, wipe their memories, and seal their weapons in the treasury."

These people had been chosen by the hammers and possessed, turning them into the Hammer Venerables. With the Serpent's death, the souls of the Hammer Venerables he had resurrected had also vanished, including his daughter, the Goddess of Winter, Casti. Odin handled the matter fairly.

"Yes, All-Father. Take them away," Thor said, nodding to the warriors who were holding Cynthia and her group. They then escorted them to the dungeons.

"My Lord Leon," Odin said, turning to Leon.

Leon shook his head. "Asgard now enters a period of reconstruction. We must take our leave."

"After Asgard is rebuilt, please visit us again. We will receive you with the highest honors," Odin replied. "I believe we have much to discuss."

Odin didn't try to force him to stay. After he finished speaking, he bowed to Leon, placing his right hand on his chest in the traditional Asgardian manner. Thor, Loki, and the other gods, as well as the surrounding warriors, all followed suit, creating a uniform and shocking display of respect.

"Very well. Goodbye, Lord Odin," Leon said with a smile. Under everyone's watchful eyes, he and Ophelia and the others turned into golden beams of light, shot into the sky, and vanished in an instant.
