Chapter 93 - Chapter 92: Freddy, The Haunted Ghost

In Greenville, South Carolina, a city with a population of only 50,000, a group of young men and women ran wildly through the streets of a suburb, their faces etched with fear.

It seemed that something terrible was chasing them.

The sky had become strangely dark and cold, and the surrounding plants and houses began to twist into unnatural shapes.

After running for what felt like an eternity, they ended up in a damp, abandoned factory—empty and desolate.

Their arrival didn't bring life to the factory; instead, it felt as though they were being swallowed by it.

Panting and exhausted, the group finally stopped.

"Damn it, damn it, why is that terrible monster chasing us?" a young white man named Joey cursed angrily, his face showing the exhaustion, confusion, and despair of someone who had been through a terrifying ordeal.

"You know, Joey, we found the truth," a beautiful blonde girl with a red jacket, white T-shirt, and blue jeans said softly, panting. "That madman has become a demon. He wants to kill us all."

"No, he wants to torture us all," she added, her eyes wide with terror as she looked around.

"We have to find his bones, but we haven't slept for too long, and we've already entered the dream world."

"We must find a way to get out of the dream, or we'll die if he finds us."

"He's too powerful in the dream, and we have no way to fight him."

"Yeah, if it weren't for Peron, we would have died long ago."

The group talked and panted, still not understanding why they felt physically drained in a dream. But they didn't care about that at the moment. Their grateful and puzzled gazes fell on Peron.

They had all grown up together in a small town. After graduating, they went their separate ways, lost touch, and only a few of them, like Peron and her best friend Nancy Thompson, kept in frequent contact.

They expected life to continue in a mundane way until they had children and grew old, but a disaster struck not long ago. They suddenly found that every night they would fall into strange dreams.

In these dreams, a demon appeared, always wearing a brown and black fedora and a red and green striped sweater. He was extremely thin and malnourished, with a burned, ugly face and sharp metal claws on his right hand.

This monster would smile hideously, then begin to cruelly torture and hunt them.

He was talkative and enjoyed making jokes, like a murderer chasing terrified, innocent victims, making them scream and run. Some tried to fight back, but it was no use, as the monster seemed to be immortal.

The monster reveled in their fear and despair.

When they woke up, they thought it was just a nightmare, but seeing the scars on their bodies—scratches they received in the dream—they realized the seriousness of the situation.

They were young and didn't know what to do.

Call the police? How could the police believe such a story? The scars would probably be classified as accidents or even self-harm due to mental issues, and they might be sent to a mental hospital.

The friends who were still in contact with each other talked on the phone and discovered they were all experiencing the same thing. They realized there must be a reason for this and began calling their other childhood friends. They were shocked to find that everyone was experiencing this, except for one person: Peron.

Although she didn't know what was happening, Peron was a kind girl, and her good friend Nancy was in the same situation. Worried, she went to Nancy's house.

Nancy then made a surprising discovery: when Peron was by her side, she never had a nightmare. The monster in the dream seemed to be terrified of Peron.

Peron didn't understand why, but Nancy, who was very clever, knew that Peron must possess something the monster was afraid of.

The monster grew enraged when Nancy stopped entering his dreams, and the first death occurred, followed by a second.

After thinking about it and listening to her friends' pleas, Peron, though scared, followed Nancy back to their hometown, Springwood, hoping her presence would prevent more deaths.

It worked at first. Because Peron was there, no one had nightmares anymore, and the monster couldn't invade their dreams.

With the immediate crisis averted, they hoped to investigate the monster. But the monster suddenly changed his target.

Many deaths began to occur in the town, all of them either prisoners or patients in mental hospitals.

The deaths of these people seemed to allow the monster to absorb power and become terrifyingly strong.

He even managed to drag them back into the dream world, including Peron, who he had previously been afraid of.

Fortunately, the monster still seemed to fear Peron and didn't dare to show himself in person. Instead, he created gravity, altered matter and energy to attack them, putting them in danger again and again until they escaped to this factory.

They couldn't figure out why the monster was so strong or why he was so persistent in hunting them.

During their investigation, they gained some knowledge and learned the monster's origin. His name was Freddy Krueger.

His mother was a nun who was accidentally locked in a cell with over 100 murderers, psychopaths, and perverts.

He was born after she was repeatedly abused. Freddy's soul contained both religious righteousness and evil, but he chose the evil path, inheriting the essence of those demons. He bought a factory in Springwood, began to harass children, and brutally killed them.

Freddy Krueger was discovered and arrested, but he bribed the judge and was acquitted. The children's parents, unable to tolerate this injustice, burned him to death.

The deceased Freddy Krueger transformed into a demon and began to seek revenge. The children who had lived on Elm Street and survived were too young at the time of the murders. Their parents deliberately hid the incident, and over time, everyone forgot.

"We have to find a way to kill him."

"Yes, we have to find a way, but I won't be killed."

As soon as Nancy spoke, a low, hoarse voice echoed in everyone's ears, startling them.

They turned their heads and saw Freddy standing at the factory door, his face terrifying and his fingers like claws.

Under the dark, damp light and shadows, he looked even more sinister.

"Oh my God," one of the girls screamed, trembling.

Hearing her scream, Freddy laughed joyfully. "I am God! Hahahaha!"

He then imitated the girl's scream in a strange voice: "Nancy, Peron, please, get rid of him, get rid of Freddy!"

The entire factory was filled with his near-maniacal laughter.

Everyone trembled with fear.

His raspy voice was like the cry of a night owl, so harsh that the whole factory began to shake. The old equipment and machinery rattled and clanged with his terrible power.

Fear permeated everyone's hearts.

"Damn, his power is getting stronger and stronger."

Nancy stood beside Peron, supporting each other to keep from falling, her face full of despair.

When she first met Freddy, she was terrified, but she was able to resist him bravely and even fight him herself.

He seemed to be an immortal monster, but he had never shown such powerful strength.

As time went on, Nancy keenly noticed that Freddy's abilities were increasing and becoming stronger.

"Haha, you're right! Because I've absorbed the souls of all those children! And I've saved a place for you!" Freddy admired the expressions of the group, like a drug addict feeding on their fear, he felt himself growing stronger.

"Welcome to Sleepwalking Wonderland, Peron. Hey, why are you hitting me? I have an indestructible body."

As he spoke, Freddy looked with dissatisfaction at the blonde girl who had suddenly picked up an iron rod and hit his body with it.

He then seemed to realize something and tried to reach out and grab the girl, but he appeared to be afraid of something and took a step back, chattering endlessly.

"Ah, what disgusting power. There's a presence on you that makes me afraid. What is it? It's divinity. Yes, you've been in contact with a god. I tried to find you, but I didn't dare, because I would be killed by the breath of God if I entered that town."

"So I am very grateful to you. Because of you, Peron walked out of that town."

Freddy bowed gracefully like a gentleman and saluted Nancy and the others.

Then he raised his head and looked at their shocked and disbelieving faces, a twisted smile on his ugly face.

"Your soul, tainted with divinity, makes you even more special. My dear girl, I'm erasing the divinity within you. I will torture and kill you to make me more special and great."

Freddy didn't hide his purpose at all, answering everyone without reservation, like a caring doctor.

But everyone felt a chill in their hearts, as if they were in a frozen world.

Nancy couldn't believe it. She looked at Peron, who was also stunned. It turned out that she had caused Peron to fall into danger. If it weren't for her, Peron would still be living a peaceful life.

She hated herself. As a friend, she had hoped to get help when facing danger, but she never wanted her good friend to die because of her.

"Now, it's time for the joyful torture to begin. This factory is where those children were killed. It is their cemetery, and now it will become yours." Freddy laughed eerily, unleashing more terrifying power. The immense pressure weighed heavily on everyone.

Including Peron, everyone was pinned to the ground and unable to get up.

It was as if it was difficult to breathe.

Freddy walked happily, skipping over Peron and heading toward Nancy and the others. He wanted to save Peron for last—the final dessert.

Peron lay on the ground, gritting her teeth. In her fear and despair, as she saw Freddy extending his sharp claws toward Nancy, Peron's heart surged with incomparable anger. "NO, Freddy!"

She roared heartbreakingly, unable to bear seeing her good friend tortured to death in front of her.

The anger and despair seemed to trigger something, and her body suddenly burst into a brilliant golden light. This sacred golden light was like ripples in a clear river.

The ripples swept across the entire factory, and Freddy's body suddenly twitched. Black smoke poured out of him, and he disappeared with a strange cry of disbelief.

When he reappeared, he was outside the factory.

A terrifying and vast energy continued to surge in Peron's body, and the factory was bathed in a golden light.

Nancy and the others, who had been suppressed, were surprised to find that the pressure that had almost crushed them had disappeared.

Not only that, the scars on their bodies from Freddy's torture were also healing.

"This is impossible. Why, why do you have the power of God in your body?"

"You're just a lucky person who has come into contact with a god."

Freddy, standing outside the factory, looked at the blonde girl who was now on her feet, her body seemingly burning with golden flames. Under the holy golden light, the girl looked majestic and sacred.

"Ugly and disgusting monster, God will not tolerate an evil existence like you."

Peron's expression was still angry. She had only one thought in her mind: to kill Freddy and end everything.

Without thinking about why she had such power, she instinctively stretched out her fingers and raised them toward the sky.

In an instant, a phantom of the goddess Aurora holding a water bottle seemed to appear behind her, peaceful and magnificent.

The next moment, an endless cold air turned into a storm and swept across everything.

Under Freddy's desperate screams, the factory and the entire dream world were completely frozen and shattered.

It was a gorgeous and beautiful sight.

Before they could appreciate it, Peron and the others fainted.
