Chapter 167 - Chapter 166: Shattering Ragnarök

This was a power the giants had never witnessed before — the Cosmos, the divine microcosm born from the blood of gods themselves. In essence, it was already no different from the might of the gods!

Only now, after losing two of their companions, did they finally realize their ignorance.

They would never comprehend the energy surging within Minos — the power that those false gods, who cowered eternally in the shadows, could never hope to grasp.

The Cosmos... the divine Cosmos flowing with the blood of the Underworld God!

The dark surplice upon Minos shimmered faintly, like starlight scattered across the heavens.

A single burst of that pure energy could obliterate all of Asgard, let alone those wretches skulking in darkness.

"You too… may die."

Thus spoke Minos the Grim, Judge of the Underworld.

As his voice echoed, the aura surrounding him tore apart the encroaching shadows completely.

This hall, ancient beyond reckoning, had long sheltered those lurking giants — parasites feeding upon the Nine Realms, harvesting their essence again and again.

Now, at last, their judgment had arrived.

Asgard, within the grand design of Hades, had already become a part of the Underworld's dominion.

Just as in a previous age Asgard had existed within Poseidon's seas — though granted autonomy, it still lay within the Sea God's territory — so too would this Asgard now fall beneath Hades' rule.

The Asgardians did not yet know this truth. But that did not stop Minos from first cleansing these petty thieves who dared to covet the domain of gods.

The remaining three deities hidden in the shadows tried desperately to flee through spatial rifts.

But it was too late.

"We are willing to let you go!" one cried. "We swear never to touch a single inch of Asgard again! As long as you conceal our existence—!"

"Oh? Is that so?"

Minos smiled coldly. The Codex of the Underworld reappeared in his grasp.

"Your meddling in Asgard is a minor offense," he said, "but to insult the Lord of the Underworld—that is an unforgivable sin. Tell me, what punishment do you deserve?"

The Sealed Demon Star, bound beneath them, pulsed faintly. The shadowy gods could not break the seal — for this power was not of their world.

It was beyond their comprehension.

"No! No! NO!!!"

Their screams echoed through the space, energy waves exploding in every direction.

The three remaining giants were annihilated instantly by the Star Puppets, their forms shattered into fragments of light.

Crack—!

The remains fell to the ground, dispersing into motes of energy that faded into the void.

From that moment, across the roots of Yggdrasil, every god and giant hiding in the shadows perished.

Each of them once possessed strength surpassing even Odin, King of the Gods. Yet before Minos — bearer of Hades' divine blood — they were nothing.

The blood of the gods... truly supreme.

"It's over."

On the Codex of the Underworld, the names of the five slain giants appeared in sequence — yet they no longer mattered.

Minos stepped toward the Sealed Demon Star embedded in the ground. His Cosmos surged to its limit—

—and pierced the fabric of space itself.

BOOM!!!

The Cosmos exploded in full radiance.

The mastermind behind Ragnarök was utterly erased from the flow of history.

Only Odin and Thor would ever know the truth of what had occurred.

Minos emerged slowly, holding Kerr's Life Star — its seal unbreakable even to one of his rank.

Now, Kerr's Evil Star would rest within the Underworld. And with its arrival, the realm of Hades would gain yet another immense power.

As Minos descended from the heights of the World Tree, Thor hurried to meet him.

"It's done?"

"It's done," Minos replied.

The crisis had indeed been resolved — but the events that had transpired could not be undone.

Ragnarök had come to pass.

Just as fate had once foretold, Hela would rise again; the World Serpent would reappear; the Fire Giant would awaken from Asgard's depths.

Yet this time, Minos had broken Ragnarök's curse.

Though the omens would still manifest, they would no longer bring death to the gods.

The inescapable fate of Asgard had finally been shattered.

"At last… at last!"

Thor's tears fell freely.

Minos held Kerr's Life Star in one hand and drew forth the golden spear Gungnir with the other.

"Return this to Odin," he said. "Thanks to his aid, I was able to locate the space fractured by Tyren's sword intent."

There was something he did not say aloud:

Gungnir was sacred to Odin and to Asgard — but it held no meaning for the warriors of the Underworld.

Their fists could cleave the stars themselves, their blows could destroy entire galaxies.

A weapon like Gungnir was of no use to such beings.

So, it was time to return it.

Thor accepted the spear silently, slinging it across his back.

"Though the shadows of Ragnarök have been purged," Minos warned, "many unpredictable events will still unfold in the days to come."

He extended his hand. A stream of pure energy appeared, etched with countless runic symbols — the Power of the Rune King.

According to the prophecy, the gods of Asgard were destined to perish one by one.

Determined to defy that fate, Thor would follow in his father's path: he would gouge out his eye and drink from the Fountain of Wisdom.

Then, he would hang himself upon the World Tree for seven days and nights, earning the power of the Primordial Rune —the power that once made Odin the All-Father.

Thus would Thor be reborn as the God of the End, the Rune King Thor, destroyer of the old order and breaker of Ragnarök's chains.

That power would one day become his greatest weapon.

"I'll leave this realm to you," Minos said. "I must return to the Underworld and report to my lord. I believe… we shall meet again soon."

And with that, his figure vanished into the tip of Yggdrasil, leaving only silence behind.
