Chapter 107 - The Time Variance Authority Cannot Contain Cassius; He Transcends Time and Reality!

The Time Variance Authority.

The Judge's office.

A black woman sat in her office, poring over the files on her desk. As she continued to sign off on them, her expression grew more and more serious.

"What is going on?" the woman muttered to herself, her face filled with confusion.

"Renslayer, is something wrong?" A man with a mustache standing nearby noticed Renslayer's strange expression. Renslayer rarely looked like this.

"Mobius, take a look at this file!" Renslayer stood up and handed the file in her hand to Mobius.

"Let me see." Mobius took the file and instinctively stroked his mustache before reading the contents. When he saw what was inside, the smile on his face instantly vanished. He quickly flipped through the file, his expression growing more and more serious.

"How is this possible?!" Mobius's face looked very strange after he finished reading. His mind was a complete mess. He couldn't figure out what was going on. Things shouldn't have turned out this way, but everything that was happening was too illogical.

"I was just thinking the same thing," Renslayer said, taking a deep breath. She stood next to Mobius and turned to a page. "Look, this person violated the rules of the Sacred Timeline over a year ago, but we only just now found out!"

When she had first seen this file, she knew something was very wrong. This had never happened in the history of the entire Time Variance Authority. Normally, once the timeline was altered, they would sense something was wrong in the future and discover it. The machines would also issue an alarm immediately to help them correct the timeline.

But this Sacred Timeline was completely different. Something had clearly gone wrong a long time ago, but there had been no warnings whatsoever. This kind of thing was simply unheard of.

"I don't understand how he did it. Did he alter the timeline, but it somehow went back to normal?" Mobius could only guess, but that shouldn't have been possible. The timeline was very difficult to control, and at least, nothing like this had ever happened before.

"We're not sure yet, but you should know what this means," Renslayer said, shaking her head as she tapped her finger on the desk. She had seen many bizarre beings, but even they couldn't hide from them.

Since the Time Variance Authority was founded, they had been able to detect any deviations in the timeline.

A deviation referred to a problem that shouldn't have occurred. For example, if Person A should have died but somehow survived, or if Person A should have done something but didn't.

They could even detect the smallest of problems. But what had happened here had completely exceeded all of their expectations.

Renslayer stared at the file, unable to figure out how this person had avoided their investigation. The time criminal in this file not only didn't do what he was supposed to do but also did a lot of things that he wasn't supposed to do. The file couldn't even list all of them.

For example, the title of climbing champion was supposed to belong to someone else, but he took it. This file was wrong in every way. It even affected the entire timeline!

"And look at the information in the file. It's clearly not right. Even though he changed things, the timeline wasn't affected!" Mobius pointed to a line in the file.

From the looks of it, this person was a complete anomaly. No matter what he did, the timeline seemed to ignore his existence. Everything that was supposed to happen still happened, and even if it was changed, it wouldn't affect the future.

This was very strange. It was as if the timeline could tolerate what this time criminal was doing and it wouldn't have any effect on it.

Even if a big change happened and someone who shouldn't have died did or someone who shouldn't have lived did, it wouldn't have any effect. No matter how you looked at it, this was not normal!

"Yes, I feel like a certain power is protecting him," Renslayer said, voicing her own guess. Otherwise, there was no way to explain why the file was so confusing.

Normally, if a timeline deviated, it would gradually head toward its demise in a short period of time. This was no joke. The butterfly effect was terrifying. It was like a program, and someone accidentally changed a part of the path. Although the program might run for a while, it would eventually have a problem.

But in this case, the program not only didn't crash, but it was running in a way that no one could understand. It was running very smoothly, even better than the original.

"Maybe there's a powerful being influencing all of this," Mobius said, slowly voicing his thoughts. This was the only possibility left. Otherwise, there was no way to explain what was happening.

"Then what should we do now?" Renslayer's real headache was figuring out how to deal with this. After all, this time criminal was just too weird.

"Let's see what his current situation is first," Mobius said, taking a deep breath. Only by figuring out what was going on with this guy could they deal with him.

"B-15 is carrying out the arrest!" Renslayer returned to her seat. She just tapped a few keys on the keyboard, and the contents came up. In a monitor, a young man was being led to the TVA's registration hall by B-15.

"Is that the young man who changed the timeline?" Mobius looked at the man's face, stroking his mustache.

"They're back," Renslayer said, slowly nodding as she closed the file. The cover of the file read the time criminal's information.

Name: Cassius

Race: Human

...

Inside the TVA registration hall, Cassius had guards on either side of him. But the guards had no tension on their faces. It was as if they had just casually brought a person back here.

"The inside of the TVA is really into the retro style," Cassius said, looking around the hall. He had been curious about the Time Variance Authority for a long time. He hadn't expected to be brought here at this time. And this place had a European style from the 70s and 80s.

'Kang the Conqueror is a real classic.' Cassius thought to himself. This style was just too old. Even the surrounding walls were a bit yellow. If you didn't know any better, you would think you had been brought to a movie studio.

And looking at everything around him, he felt as if he had traveled to another time. Besides the guards, everyone else was dressed very simply.

"The power in my body is being suppressed." Just then, Cassius suddenly felt that the powerful energy in his body was slowly disappearing. No, it was being suppressed. It was slowly being compressed and he couldn't use it.

"Hmm, this is a little interesting," Cassius was not panicked by this. Instead, a thoughtful look appeared on his face. He had heard about this before.

This place was the Null-Time Zone, a place that existed outside of normal space and time. This area contained the remnants of abandoned timelines and universes that no longer existed in normal time.

It was a very special space that didn't follow the rules of the normal universe. Even the Infinity Stones couldn't be used here. Because of this, anyone who came here would basically be suppressed. No matter how powerful they were before, they wouldn't be able to do anything.

After all, even the power that was originally in their bodies couldn't be used here. What's more, there were machines here that could adjust the speed of time, so there was no way to resist at all.

Krrsszzz... krrsszzz...

But the special space couldn't suppress the Phoenix Force. Cassius clearly felt the suppressed energy in his body slowly reviving.

"It seems that their suppression here isn't all-powerful." His lips curved into a smile. This was getting interesting. If he could control the Phoenix Force, it meant he could unseal his other powers. If he could recover all his strength in this place, the Time Variance Authority agents would be no different from ordinary people in front of him.

"Hey, you can't do this!" The iron door next to him opened, and a man ran out, struggling. "This is illegal imprisonment! Let me go! I'm the heir of Stans Group!" As he spoke, he looked at the people behind him with a wary look. His desperate roar echoed in the registration hall.

"Time criminal is openly resisting. Enforce the ruling." The guard who had chased him out used a time-stick to hit the man. The man looked at the guard in disbelief. He looked down and saw his entire body slowly being eaten away and disappearing!

Cassius watched the whole thing with a calm expression. The weapons they were using were quite interesting. They were like a file deletion program, formatting a person directly.

"If you resist, the same thing will happen to you," a black woman next to him suddenly said. "My name is B-15. You better not think about resisting."

After all, many time criminals who were brought here tried to resist. Those who could change time were basically not easy to deal with. So, this kind of thing was very common here.

"Hmm." Cassius's expression was as calm as water. He wasn't even slightly affected by the death of the man just now. In fact, he looked like he was still savoring the moment.

B-15 was surprised by Cassius's calm demeanor. She had never seen anyone so calm. Not even those who considered themselves gods had been this calm. After all, it was a terrifying sight to see a powerful person disappear out of thin air, and even the most powerful people would feel fear.

But B-15 still warned him according to the rules. "In the Time Variance Authority, no extraordinary abilities can be used. You're just a normal person now, so don't even think about escaping or disobeying orders."

After all, these people were waiting to be judged. If they could just cooperate, it would save them a lot of time. The workload here was very heavy every day.

"Hmm." Cassius just glanced at B-15 and then turned his gaze back to his surroundings. It was as if he hadn't even heard what B-15 had said. He just continued to observe everything around him.

B-15 frowned. This time criminal was just too weird. In fact, she had never seen anyone so calm. No matter what happened, he just took it in stride. She had thought that he was just acting brave because he was a powerful person, but it didn't seem like that was the case at all.

In the Judge's office.

"He looks so strange. Why is this time criminal so calm in every single move he makes?" Mobius frowned as he observed him closely.

Many people who came here pretended to be calm. But after seeing what happened to those who resisted, they would all be scared and start trembling. Even those who called themselves gods would become as fragile as paper when they came here. But this person named Cassius gave him a very strange feeling.

"I think so too. His actions are just too calm, as if he had already expected what was going to happen," Renslayer agreed.

Although this person looked like he would listen to whatever they said, he didn't seem to care about what was happening at all. In fact, he gave them the feeling that he was just a tourist. Although it sounded strange, this person just gave them that feeling.

"Could there be something wrong with this person?" Mobius said, stroking his mustache as he slowly voiced his guess.

Usually, only people with enough confidence would not care about anything. He didn't believe that anyone would really not care about their own life.

"I don't know, but let's just keep watching. Maybe we can find a clue." Renslayer shook her head and continued speaking with a helpless look in her eyes. The only thing they could do now was to continue to observe.

"Put this on," B-15 said, picking up a collar from the side and handing it to him. Cassius was just too obedient. She didn't even have to use force. He just did whatever she said.

Cassius took the collar and looked at it closely. This collar should be the one that could control the flow of time. He looked at the logo on it with curiosity.

"Aren't you going to put it on? Do you want me to help you?" B-15 was stunned again. This guy was just too calm. But looking at Cassius playing with the collar, her face became a little ugly.

When Cassius heard B-15's words, he slowly looked up. "How do I put this on? Can you show me?"

"You don't know how to do this?" B-15 took a deep breath. She walked up to Cassius with an annoyed look on her face and planned to help him put the collar on. But just as she got close to him, Cassius moved. In a flash, Cassius put the collar on B-15's neck.

"What are you doing?!" B-15 said, her face filled with anger. She quickly pulled the collar off. At the same time, she quickly pulled out the time-stick from her waist and swung it at Cassius.

Whoosh!!!

In an instant, a golden light burst from Cassius's eyes. Two beams of heat vision instantly melted the time-stick and B-15's hand.

"Ah!!!" B-15 held her hand and fell to the ground, screaming. It happened so fast that she didn't even have a chance to resist.

Renslayer and Mobius watched this on the monitor and were instantly shocked!

How was that possible?!

No one could use their special abilities in the Null-Time Zone! Not even the Infinity Stones would work!
