Snap!
Cassius snapped his fingers, and everything that was frozen began to thaw rapidly. In the blink of an eye, the frost and ice melted away. The Void returned to its barren state.
He Who Remains breathed a sigh of relief as his fearful expression faded. He had been a part of the multiverse for so long; he knew that a being of this level wouldn't come here just to scare him.
In a way, Cassius was a reasonable person. If Cassius had continued, he would not have ended well.
When he had teleported in front of Cassius, he immediately knew something was wrong. Time around him had been frozen. To make matters worse, this was done without a spell; it was a simple manipulation of an element. This alone showed how terrifyingly powerful Cassius was.
Cassius plainly stated his purpose for coming here. He didn't have a bad impression of He Who Remains, and his only goal was to make sure that He Who Remains wouldn't interfere with his timeline.
He was living a good life and didn't want these people showing up every other day to bother him. He also knew that he would eventually leave, and he didn't want his timeline to be reset or destroyed after he was gone. In that case, everything he had done would vanish without a trace.
After hearing the whole story, He Who Remains's expression turned grim. He looked up at the sky.
"Ravonna Renslayer! Get over here and apologize to him right now!" He never thought that such a small thing would almost cause the Void to disappear. And offending a being of this level was just asking for trouble.
Cassius smiled and looked at the sky. He had always been able to feel Ravonna watching them. The Phoenix Force gave him a keen sense of perception, and he could easily feel even the slightest bit of observation. But he hadn't cared.
A short while later, a portal slowly opened, and Ravonna walked out with a sullen expression.
"Mr. Cassius, I'm sorry. This is all my fault!" She truly hadn't expected the mighty Time-Keepers to be no match for Cassius.
"It's fine, I'm not going to hold a grudge. Just don't cause any more trouble for me," Cassius said, waving his hand and forgiving Ravonna. He didn't have the time to go after a small-time person. Besides, he had accomplished his goal here.
"Mr. Cassius, do you have time to be a guest in my castle?" He Who Remains waved his right hand, and the giant castle that had been hidden by the black fog appeared before them. The castle was a classic old European style, but it looked very worn down.
Cassius nodded and accepted the invitation. He had always been curious about what it looked like inside. Besides, he had come all this way, so he might as well take a look.
"Right, Sylvie, you should come with me," Cassius said, noticing the serious look on Sylvie's face. After all, he couldn't just leave her here alone. And without him, that big, dark thing would never let her go back.
Sylvie had caused a lot of trouble for the TVA. That's why Ravonna had deliberately let her come here without a fight.
Sylvie nodded without hesitation, but her eyes were fixed on He Who Remains, her fists clenched. Her eyes were filled with an indescribable murderous intent.
....
Asgard, The Nine Realms.
Over ten thousand Golden-armored Warriors stood on the Bifrost, all of them looking serious as they watched the gigantic mothership slowly approaching from the distance. The mothership was now right outside Asgard.
Everyone's eyes were filled with solemnity and caution. They knew that a powerful enemy was coming, and this battle could determine the fate of Asgard.
A landing craft slowly descended from the mothership and landed on the Bifrost. The hatch opened, and a tall, purple-skinned figure with a large sword walked out. Behind him were four others: Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, and Cull Obsidian.
Although there were only a few of them, their presence was so intimidating that everyone felt suffocated.
Thanos and his companions looked at Hela and her army, who were already prepared for battle. A look of disdain appeared on Thanos's face.
"It really is Thanos!" Loki's breathing became frantic, and his pupils trembled. He subconsciously tightened his grip on his dagger. His actions showed that he was not just cautious but terrified.
"Is he that strong?" Wanda frowned, a confused look on her face. She had never heard of this person. The only thing she noticed was that the moment Thanos appeared, everyone's expression became solemn, as if they were facing a great enemy.
"This guy is known as the Overlord of the Universe..." Loki said, taking a deep breath and trying to suppress his fear. But his pale face showed how tense he was.
Wanda had never seen Loki, who was always joking around, look so grave. It was as if he was staring death in the face.
"Coward!" Hela scoffed, giving Loki a glare. The battle hadn't even started, and he was already this scared.
"..." Loki was furious but couldn't say anything in response. Hela was right. But this was Thanos! The most powerful being in the universe; it was impossible not to be afraid of him!
"It seems you're quite prepared." Thanos casually stuck his sword into the ground, a cold smirk on his face as he looked at the warriors. Even though they were prepared, they meant nothing to him. After all, that old man Odin was no longer here, and no one in Asgard could stop him.
"Thanos, you didn't travel all this way to Asgard just to say that nonsense, did you?" Hela walked out of the crowd, her tone indifferent. Although Thanos was powerful, she was never afraid of so-called strong people.
"I am here for one thing." Thanos looked Hela in the eyes, his voice filled with an undeniable tone.
"For something? What could possibly be worth the Overlord of the Universe's time?" Hela said with a cold, mocking laugh.
Thanos didn't mind Hela's sarcasm. He calmly said, "I need your Tesseract."
"Impossible!" Hela refused without a second thought. "Forget the Tesseract; you can't even take a piece of Asgard's garbage." She knew how important the Tesseract was to Asgard, and it was something that could not be handed over.
"Sigh, I don't like to kill people." Thanos shook his head helplessly, sighing with a look of regret. "But why do you all have to force my hand?"
With that, he grabbed the hilt of his sword and pulled it out of the ground. The moment he did that, all the Golden-armored Warriors drew their weapons. Everyone knew that a battle was about to begin.
Sure enough, Thanos only nodded. The Black Order immediately sprang into action without a word. Ebony Maw clenched his right hand, his other hand behind his back. The rocks on the ground quickly wrapped around a dozen Golden-armored Warriors.
Crack!
A dozen cracking sounds rang out, and crimson blood flowed from the cracks in the stones.
"Charge!" Seeing this, the Golden-armored Warriors immediately charged without hesitation.
Facing the massive charge, Cull Obsidian charged forward, his weapon elongating into a whip. With a single swing, dozens of Golden-armored Warriors were sent flying.
Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight were like phantoms, quickly moving through the warriors. Every time they passed through a spot, blood would burst forth, or a Golden-armored Warrior would be sent flying.
Even with over ten thousand people, the Golden-armored Warriors couldn't even make a dent against these four.
"Let me take care of these bastards!" Thor grabbed a hammer from the armory and rushed forward without a second thought. Although this hammer wasn't as good as Mjolnir, it was better than nothing.
"I'll go too!" Loki gritted his teeth and spun his dagger, and the two of them rushed forward.
Thor focused his attention on the rampaging Cull Obsidian. Cull Obsidian also noticed the fast-approaching Thor, and his eyes filled with a fighting spirit. He stomped the ground and swung his weapon at Thor. Thor didn't dodge the attack. He gritted his teeth and slammed his hammer onto the weapon.
Bang!
A loud clang of metal rang out as the two weapons were pushed away.
"This is interesting," Cull Obsidian said with a sinister smile and charged at Thor again.
Buzz!
Just as Thor was about to charge, he felt a terrifying killing intent. The killing intent turned into a flash of light and shot toward his head. In this life-or-death moment, Thor's keen senses allowed him to turn his head in time.
The sharp spear slashed across his cheek, leaving a deep gash. If Thor hadn't reacted so quickly, his head would have been pierced by the strange-looking spear.
"Damn it! You attacked me from behind!" Thor couldn't believe his opponent would attack him so sneakily during a fight. He turned his head and saw that it was none other than Corvus Glaive.
"Hehe!" Corvus Glaive simply let out a strange, disgusting sneer and charged at Thor again. At the same time, Cull Obsidian's attack also came.
Thor was now forced to fight against two people and could not counterattack. Cull Obsidian was a brute, and Corvus Glaive was cunning. Thor was in a lot of pain now. He never thought his opponents would fight so dirty.
Not far from him, Loki was fighting Proxima Midnight.
"You look okay on the outside, but you're a bit weird," Loki said, not in a rush to fight, as he looked at Proxima Midnight with a teasing look.
"Thanks for the compliment, but you look like an ugly lizard!" As soon as Proxima Midnight finished, she swung her weapon, which was glowing with blue light, at Loki. Her every move was filled with a terrifying power. Every time she swung her weapon, a sharp, cutting sound could be heard.
"Why are you so impatient?! Can't we just sit down and flirt for a bit?" Loki blocked the attack with his dagger, grimacing. He really didn't want to fight such a crazy woman! And she was stronger than him. He had no idea how she got so strong.
"Hehe, if you want to flirt, then die first!" Proxima Midnight said, her attacks becoming even more ferocious. She swung her weapon at an incredible speed. In just a second, the two had already exchanged several blows.
At this moment, Ebony Maw, who was watching from a distance, slowly raised his hands. His hands moved as if he were playing a piano. Two stone statues in the distance flew toward Thor and Loki. They were so fast that the two of them almost couldn't react in time. But in this critical moment, the two of them managed to block the statues with their weapons.
The statues slammed into them, sending Thor and Loki flying. The terrifying force made them crash into several Golden-armored Warriors, and even with the cushioning, they still coughed up blood.
"Die, you pitiful Asgardians." Ebony Maw slightly moved his fingers in the air. The dust on the shattered stone statues fell, revealing terrifying rock spikes. He simply waved his hand, and the rock spikes shot toward Thor and Loki, aiming for their hearts. At this moment, Thor and Loki were at their weakest and couldn't dodge.
"We're finished!" Thor and Loki could only watch as the terrifying rock spikes came for them.
Buzz!
But at this critical moment, a buzzing sound rang out. The dozen rock spikes stopped in midair. A dark red energy had enveloped them. The next second, the rock spikes instantly disintegrated.
"Hmm?" Ebony Maw turned around calmly and looked at the person who had released the energy. He saw a woman in a dark red suit, which was slightly swaying with the energy.
"You disgusting monsters, die!" Wanda's eyes glowed red, and she spread her hands. A terrifying dark red light erupted from her body. It was like a tidal wave, quickly rushing toward the four of them.
"What's going on?!" Ebony Maw tried to control the red light, but to his surprise, his power was shattered the moment it appeared.
The terrifying energy even distorted space. This was the first time he had seen someone with such a powerful mastery of magic. Although her control over the energy was not as precise as his, her power was far more terrifying.
Boom!
When the red light hit them, it sent them flying. Not only that, but just as they were about to fall to the ground, the red light quickly spread and wrapped around them, as if it wanted to tear them apart.
Even Ebony Maw couldn't resist this power!
The only thought in his mind was that this unknown person was so powerful!
Crash!!!
Just as Wanda was about to finish them off, a purple beam of light with a fierce force shot toward her.
"Shh!" Wanda felt the terrifying energy and quickly moved aside. But even without a direct hit, the residual force still hit her.
"Who are you?!" Wanda endured the pain and turned around in shock. That energy was too terrifying. If she hadn't dodged in time, she would have been severely injured.
Thanos calmly clenched his fist, and the Power Stone on his gauntlet shone with a dazzling purple light. Although his expression was calm, the moment he clenched his fist, everything around him began to tremble.
