Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Obviously greedy

The Twin sister lay on the ground, entranced, looking at Hiccup's back with misty eyes and saying, "Okay, Hiccup!"

Evidently, the hero-saving-the-damsel scenario had completely captivated the Twin sister, Ruffnut.

Hiccup said, somewhat helplessly, "Aren't you going to go!"

"Wow! He's so handsome! So charming!"

The Twins (Brother) watched his infatuated sister and could only grab her feet with both hands, dragging her away like a dead dog.

When Astrid saw Hiccup risk himself to save Ruffnut, a surge of nameless anger immediately welled up in her heart, and she charged out, wielding her large axe.

All the tactics she had planned were thrown to the wind, and she charged recklessly.

"Ugh! None of them are easy to deal with!" Hiccup quickly grabbed his shield again to save Astrid; if he let her charge like that, she would surely end up seriously injured.

"Dragon, prepare to die!"

Hiccup quickly used his shield to block Astrid's attack, causing her large axe to get stuck in the shield, then he hugged her and rolled away, just dodging the Deadly Nadder's fireball.

When Gobber saw this scene, he nodded in satisfaction and said, "Hmm! Not bad, Hiccup has finally wised up!"

"If this were Stoick when he was young, he would have directly carried her back to his cabin. In this regard, he's still far behind his father!"

However, Astrid had no thought of thanking Hiccup for saving her life; instead, she quickly stood up, grabbed Hiccup's collar, and roared, "Hiccup! Do you think this is a game?!"

"Please, snap out of it! Our parents' war is about to be inherited by us! I don't have time to play these boring games with you!"

At this moment, the Deadly Nadder seemed to have found an opportunity, gathering its power, preparing to get a double kill with a fireball!

Gobber jumped directly from the Dragon Jail, running and shouting, "Hiccup, watch out!"

However, the fireball had already left the Deadly Nadder's mouth, flying rapidly towards Astrid.

Hiccup's expression was very calm as he watched the incoming fireball, because he was wearing soft armor made of Dragon scales!

After all, after transmigrating, there would inevitably be deviations. What if he was hit by the Night Fury's fireball while taming it? Then he would have died for his cheap father prematurely!

Therefore, this Dragon scale soft armor had been worn since the first day he went to release the Night Fury and had never been taken off.

No matter how strong Astrid was, she was still a girl. Seeing the speeding fireball, she was so scared that she closed her eyes.

"Hmph~~"

Hiccup blocked the fireball with his back, letting out a muffled groan. Astrid opened her eyes in confusion just in time to see Hiccup taking the fireball head-on.

In slow motion, Hiccup's painful expression as he endured the fireball, and his hair being ruffled by the impact, were deeply imprinted in Astrid's mind.

Although the fireball dissipated immediately after hitting the Dragon scale soft armor, the impact force was still very real.

He only felt as if his back had taken a heavy punch, but fortunately, he had taken a recovery potion before. He had initially thought it was a one-time recovery potion.

Later, he discovered that the recovery potion was long-lasting, directly increasing his recovery attribute.

Just as Hiccup was about to counterattack, he heard a Dragon's wail from behind him.

Gobber was seen swinging a large iron hammer, directly locking the Deadly Nadder back into the Dragon Jail.

"Hiccup, are you okay!" Gobber looked him over with concern, turning him back and forth.

Astrid burst into tears instantly and hugged Hiccup directly.

"Damn it! I didn't die by the Dragon's hand, but I'll die by yours!" Hiccup quickly broke free, as these two really had no sense of moderation.

Moreover, there was no need for the kind of hero-saving-the-damsel act where he pretended to be injured to gain sympathy and deepen their relationship.

At this moment, Hiccup's eyes were only on the Night Fury. A man should, of course, prioritize his career; making money was the way to go!

So, Hiccup dodged the two of them and waved his hand, saying, "I'm fine! Really fine! No one follow me!"

With that, Hiccup quickly left the Dragon Jail, returned to his cabin, took the mold, and headed straight for the sinkhole.

As for what they would think, Hiccup didn't care at all.

He carried two sea fish to the sinkhole, but he didn't see any sign of the Night Fury.

Hiccup smiled slightly. He knew that the Night Fury must be behind him at this moment, curled up like a cat, using its body as concealment.

Only when Hiccup turned around and met its gaze did the Night Fury slowly walk down from the rocks. After reaching Hiccup's side, it sniffed continuously like a dog.

It was as if it was getting familiar with the scent, or simply testing him.

In Hiccup's opinion, this Night Fury was simply a combination of a cat and a dog!

Then, Hiccup took out the two sea fish from his arms and offered them to the Night Fury.

The Night Fury opened its mouth but didn't dare to eat. Hiccup mumbled to himself, "So its teeth really can retract!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the Night Fury quickly snatched the sea fish from Hiccup's hand and swallowed them in a few gulps.

Seeing the Night Fury eat the sea fish, Hiccup suddenly had an ominous premonition.

Sure enough, the Night Fury began to twitch slightly, then spit out half of the sea fish, and offered it to Hiccup, motioning for him to eat!

This seemingly simple scene was actually a test, and also a sign of goodwill from the Dragon race! Good things would never be eaten alone; they would be shared with friends!

If he didn't eat it, he would probably miss out on the Night Fury!

However, Hiccup was familiar with the plot, so he was prepared. He directly put this half of the sea fish into the water and washed it, after all, there were still many sticky unknown substances on it.

Who knew if he would get diarrhea after eating it raw? And then having to wipe with wool, that scene was truly unimaginable.

Then, under the Night Fury's surprised gaze, Hiccup gathered a pile of dry firewood, and then, using Dragon Language, said to the Night Fury, "Fire!"

The Night Fury tilted its head, looking at Hiccup with a blank expression. It thought it had misheard; a human could actually speak Dragon Language!

Hiccup thought the Night Fury hadn't understood, so he gestured while saying, "Fire!"

Seeing the Night Fury's disgusted expression, Hiccup knew that it had definitely understood, and he had been gesturing like an idiot for half a day.

The Night Fury casually spat out a fireball, igniting the bonfire in front of it.

Hiccup skewered the half sea fish and roasted it over the fire. It was just that the system couldn't be used now, so there was no way to take out the seasonings stored inside.

Under the scorching of the flames, the sea fish slowly changed color, and the aroma also wafted out.

"Gulp~~"

The Night Fury actually stared at the roasted fish and swallowed its saliva, clearly craving it, so it looked at the roasted fish blankly, then at Hiccup.

And Hiccup just subtly curved the corner of his mouth...
