The Stingfire Bee, a magical beast that relies on speed and venom in battle, has a relatively weak constitution and life force. The one Levi had crushed, being in its juvenile stage, was even more fragile.
As for Levi?
He was naturally strong and had two dragons as his companions, which greatly enhanced both his strength and speed.
Crushing a juvenile Stingfire Bee underfoot was nothing for him!
...
Meanwhile, Willard had lost her connection with the Stingfire Bee.
This usually indicated two possibilities:
One: The Stingfire Bee was sealed, unable to maintain its bond with its master.
Two: The Stingfire Bee was dead!
Clearly, the latter was the case.
"Impossible!!"
"My Stingfire Bee can't be dead!"
Willard's eyes were filled with madness, her pupils bloodshot, almost unable to believe the reality before her.
She rushed to the fallen Stingfire Bee, anger and confusion flashing across her face.
When she saw the now-lifeless creature up close, she was forced to accept this heavy truth.
She glared at Levi, fists clenched, her teeth grinding in rage, and shouted, "You did this on purpose!"
"You definitely did this on purpose!"
"Why did you do it?!!"
In contrast to her fury, Levi remained calm. He shrugged, shaking his head lightly, and spoke with a tone of resignation:
"How can you blame me?"
"If anyone is to blame, it's your pet for being blind!"
The double meaning in his words was a jab at both the Stingfire Bee and Willard herself.
However, Willard didn't catch the sarcasm. She was only more enraged, preparing to confront Levi. But just as she was about to take action, a serious voice cut through the tension, halting everyone's movements:
"Everyone, stop what you're doing."
"No matter your grievances, now is not the time to settle them!"
Hearing the voice, Willard took a deep breath and lowered her raised fist, though she still glared at Levi with a vicious look.
"Just wait!"
"This isn't over between us!"
Levi gave a faint smile and nodded slightly:
"Exactly, it's just beginning!"
For him, everything was only just beginning.
Willard's repeated provocations were beginning to wear on Levi's patience.
He wasn't an evil person, but neither was he a good one.
If no one caused trouble, life would be peaceful; but if someone provoked him, he would never hold back!
After the "experiment" with the Stingfire Bee, Levi confirmed his plan was viable. It was a plan that involved many people, but it would ultimately bring him enough money to purchase a pair of wings!
...
Soon, the academy returned to calm, everyone waiting for further instructions.
The previous voice rang out once more:
"I will soon activate the teleportation array. You will all be sent to the entrance of the Beast Forest."
"The outer edge of the Beast Forest has a safety zone, and each school occupies a section of it as the starting ground for new students."
"There are many low-level magical beasts in the safety zone, and you can tame magical beasts within your school's designated area."
"Catching magical beasts is also allowed."
"But remember, do not cross boundaries!"
"Do not enter other schools' areas, or you will trigger inter-school conflicts."
"Once you step out of the safety zone, the danger posed by magical beasts will greatly increase, and your life will be at risk."
All the freshmen listened intently, as this concerned their lives.
Even Levi, though he had a plan in mind, did not dare to ignore these rules. He knew exactly what he could and could not do.
"Alright, that's all I have to say."
"Good luck to everyone in taming your magical beasts!"
As his words fell, all the freshmen were surrounded by a blue light, and strange energy quickly enveloped their bodies.
In the next moment, the light faded, and the freshmen were nowhere to be seen.
When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves standing in a vast meadow.
Ahead of them was a dense forest, towering trees stretching into the sky—clearly, the Beast Forest.
From a distance, they could see various magical beasts roaming the forest:
Flying beasts with wings flapping, primate-like beasts leaping between the trees, ground-running animal beasts, and even insect-like magical creatures too small to be seen clearly.
Without a doubt, for the freshly awakened students, the safety zone of the Beast Forest felt like a paradise.
Behind the students, a group of merchants could be seen.
Some were selling equipment, others materials and miscellaneous items, and there were even merchants selling medicines and food.
Some merchants were also buying magical beasts and materials, forming a small commercial circle in the area.
This time of year was a golden period for merchants.
In addition to the merchants, there were students from other schools.
Each school's students were active in different areas, at least a hundred meters apart, with different colored markers distinguishing them. These zones stretched from the outer rim of the Beast Forest deep into its heart.
...
Once the students had a basic understanding of their surroundings, cheers erupted:
"Wow, that's a four-armed ape! I must tame one!"
"So many magical beasts, this place is a treasure trove!"
"This is an opportunity! A once-in-a-lifetime chance!"
"As long as I tame more beasts, I'll surpass everyone from the start!"
Standing among the crowd, Willard's eyes were fixed on Levi, filled with hatred.
At this moment, she was consumed with anger!
Her hard-earned Stingfire Bee had been crushed underfoot!
That was a pet she had spent hundreds of thousands on!!
"Just wait!"
"I'll make sure to get my revenge!"
Willard didn't think she was at fault.
She believed she had merely done what was necessary—whether it was insulting out of jealousy or ordering an attack out of anger.
Meanwhile, Levi stood to the side, his gaze sweeping over the magical beasts in the forest, a surge of excitement rising within him.
To the others, the magical beasts were pets to be tamed; but for Levi, they were all glittering gold!
...
A short while later, Rowan approached the freshmen, his expression serious as he spoke:
"Soon, you will be entering the Beast Forest!"
"I hope everyone will help each other, ensuring that each person successfully tames a magical beast, and not engage in any underhanded tactics!"
