Chapter 21 - Chapter 19: Contrasting Doubles — You aren't here...?

"Yah! The excitement almost swallowed me…

Isn't this frightening? Don't you agree? Ah… sorry."

This was Shun's reaction, wearing a wild smile, asserting his presence.

Shun continued confidently: "Truly, I apologize, because you are already within my range."

His eyes narrowed, he sighed, and whispered coldly: "Ah… you're not here."

All the extremely dense radiant particles floating around Luna began transforming into electric sparks, surging toward Shun.

The glowing radiations twisted and writhed violently and chaotically, as if screaming from a silent suffering that had lasted millions of years.

Shun's form gradually shifted as he advanced step by step toward her:

"I've already been filled with containing that water… yet—"

His body turned semi-transparent blue from energy, with faint bursts of sparks in vivid colors exploding around him.

Strands of his hair swayed uncontrollably, rising against the wind.

The radiations twisted even more intensely, and their shadows undulated violently.

The fear and shivers evoked by her appearance flared deeply within any ordinary person.

"Thank you for supplying me with this energy," he said in a mysterious tone, extending his hand:

"And now I will return it to you as a token of thanks."

He gripped her with his right hand, transformed into a massive hand with sharp edges and pronounced joints.

Holding her firmly, he lifted her toward the sky in a majestic sweep, without Luna making any resistance.

At the same moment, Shon muttered inwardly: 'This is for you, daughter of a vampire… I thought the same myself…'

His arm extended as it rose with astonishing speed.

He finished his inner words: 'I leave the rest to you, Toki. You've gained what you were seeking.'

Every time Luna emitted that radiant energy to attack him, its properties changed into electricity.

With his current form, Shun controlled the situation in his favor after understanding Luna's unpredictable and chaotic movements.

With the raging wind around the area, the air grew heavier, teeming with anticipation of what was about to unfold.

On the far side of the large arena…

The chime of his left earring rang, his green eyes flashing amidst the night.

He tied the sleeves of his shirt over the wound on his abdomen, then gasped: "If… he managed to accomplish what I failed… it seems I'll owe him."

To be continued...
