At that moment, Huiyi confirmed one thing: this chestnut-haired girl wasn't the brightest.
"Alright, I won't say any more. What's your name? I'm Huiyi."
The chestnut-haired girl, having pulled herself out of that pile of twisted logic, hesitated for a moment but still gave her name. "Admire Japan. But let me be clear! You can't tell the president about this, or I'll lose my chance to test out pillows in the future."
This chestnut-haired girl, who couldn't seem to go two sentences without mentioning pillows, made Huiyi curious. She had seen horse girls who loved carrots and horse girls who loved to attack railings, but this was the first time she had seen one who loved pillows so much.
Could it be that this horse girl's real-life counterpart loved pillows in my past life...? But that doesn't make sense. Can you eat a pillow or something?

By the time she returned to the academy, the sky had brightened, and many horse girls were out for their morning runs. But Huiyi, having been up even earlier, decided to head to the cafeteria for breakfast.
Carrots, whole wheat bread, and blueberry jam—Huiyi's breakfast was green and nutritious. After finishing a glass of carrot juice, she patted her not-even-half-full stomach and let out a sigh.
As the saying goes, breakfast should be good, not necessarily filling. This would have to do for now. Next up, the training room!
It had been a few days of rest since her debut race. If she didn't start training again, she would really turn into a useless horse girl...
Just do it! she thought, heading straight for the training room. Opening the door, Huiyi shouted, "Kitahara! Give me a training assignment! I need to prepare for my next race!"
"Huh?! In such a hurry? Your debut race just ended! Rest for a week first. Even if you're not tired, I am... Besides, your body still needs to recover after the race." Kitahara almost choked on her water, startled by Huiyi. She had just sat down herself and hadn't even thought about what to do for the next few days.

"Alright... fine. But we have to go to the infirmary for a check-up first. My assessment doesn't count; only if the doctor says you're okay." Kitahara sighed lightly. Why was this girl acting like Oguri Cap back in her regional days?
The moment they met, it was always a demand for a training assignment...
The only difference was that Oguri Cap simply loved to run, while Huiyi's eyes were filled with nothing but prize money.
But it didn't really matter. As long as the horse girls found joy in running on the track, that was enough.
The mention of the infirmary instinctively brought up bad memories for Huiyi, like the incompetent doctor from her previous life who had left a deep impression on her... So she immediately shook her head. "No way! There's a quack doctor in the infirmary!"
"A quack? You mean Dr. S...? Pfft..." Kitahara was initially puzzled about a quack in the infirmary, but then she thought of Dr. S from a few years ago and understood.

"Hmm?!" Oguri Cap, who was munching on carrot sticks, suddenly popped her head up, startling Huiyi. Was Oguri Cap in the training room at this time?!

Oguri Cap immediately sealed her bag of carrot sticks, hopped over the sofa, and took Huiyi from Kitahara.

Sigh, Kitahara was truly exhausted.
