A gang of strangers wandered into our village one morning, making a beeline straight for the chief's house.
"See that old guy with the yellow circle over his head? That's the one you get quests from," one of them said, pointing at our chief.

I looked around in confusion.

I turned my head, blinked, even tilted sideways for good measure.
Still nothing. No glow, no halo, no floating emblem shimmering in the air. Just old Chief Lu, leaning on his cane, with maybe a faint smudge of sunlight on his thinning hair—but that was probably just the morning glare.
