"Hehe, since you know who I am, why not surrender quickly? Perhaps I will spare your life!" A distorted skull face, millions of miles wide, appeared suddenly in outer space. It looked like a demon lying in wait in the abyss, instilling an overwhelming fear.
"How dare you! I am a saint under the Lord of Life! I represent the honor of my master, and I will never surrender to your vile evil! You should be the one surrendering. This is the land of the Lord of Life, and you dare to create chaos here? Are you not afraid that my master will descend and obliterate you?!" Effie glared coldly at the skull.
Just then, a yellow magical portal appeared in the sky, and a man dressed in a mage's robe emerged in front of Dormammu.
"Dormammu, you have broken our agreement. You should not have come to Earth. Go back to your dark dimension immediately, or you will regret it!" It was Doctor Strange.
As he spoke, Doctor Strange formed hand seals, and a green light burst from the pendant on his chest.
It was the Time Stone, one of the Infinity Stones. It was this very Time Stone that had forced Dormammu to retreat the last time they clashed.
Now, Doctor Strange planned to use the Time Stone once again to try and push Dormammu back.
But what he didn't expect was that Dormammu, seeing the Time Stone glowing on his chest, remained eerily calm, showing no sign of the fear he had before.
"You cursed wizard, do you think I would fall for the same trick twice? You want to bind me with time? You're dreaming!" Dormammu sneered.
"It seems you have forgotten the terror of being trapped in the time vortex. If that's the case, I'll make you experience it again!" Doctor Strange quickly cast his spell.
Suddenly, a massive surge of green light exploded, rushing toward Dormammu.
This green light represented the power of time. Anyone touched by it would fall into an endless time loop, unable to escape. No one had ever been able to break free.
However, before Doctor Strange's time magic could reach Dormammu, a red light suddenly appeared and collided with the green light.
Immediately, the red light and the green time magic dissipated, vanishing into the atmosphere.
Dormammu had used a mysterious power that countered the time magic.
"How is this possible?!" Doctor Strange's face showed disbelief.
"What is this?!" Effie's gaze shifted to the villa below them.
She quickly disappeared from view, reappearing in the room, where her expression turned grim.
Jane and Thor, who were supposed to be in the room, had inexplicably fallen unconscious, with no idea of what had happened.
Realizing that Thor had been knocked out without a sound, Effie knew the strength of whoever was behind this must exceed Thor's own.
At that moment, only Dormammu, ruler of the Dark Dimension, could have such power.
She hadn't anticipated that while dealing with Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves, Dormammu had secretly entered, stealing the Reality Stone from Jane.
The red light earlier had been released by the Reality Stone, a power on par with the Time Stone.
Effie was furious and frustrated. She had promised her master that she would bring back the Reality Stone, and now it was lost, just like that.
"Unforgivable!" Effie clenched her fist, her face showing rare anger.
She vanished again, reappearing beside Doctor Strange. "Dormammu has the Reality Stone, which is just as powerful as the Time Stone. You can't trap him in the time vortex now!"
Doctor Strange's face turned serious. "Then it's dangerous. Dormammu, with the Reality Stone, will be even more powerful. We cannot defeat him alone. We need to ask the Lord of Life for help. Only the Lord of Life can suppress him!"
"Hehe, after waiting for so many years, the time has finally come! Damn wizard, now that your Time Stone is useless against me, let's see how you plan to fight me!" Dormammu laughed wildly.
At that moment, the enormous skull in outer space began to move toward Earth.
The sky darkened, thunder and lightning erupted, and a massive shadow, like the mouth of a beast from the abyss, came crashing down toward Earth.
Suddenly, the planet seemed to be squeezed by some unseen force. Volcanoes around the world erupted, spewing magma thousands of meters high into the sky, along with flames and smoke.
Underwater earthquakes also occurred, sending enormous waves toward the coastlines, threatening to flood entire cities.
This was the sign of an impending apocalypse.
Looking at the giant skull blotting out the sky, the once calm people were now wide-eyed with fear and despair.
"What... what is this?!"
"Such a huge skull?"
"How can there be a skull this big? It's covering the entire sky."
"What kind of existence is this?!"
"Are we doomed?"
"Lord of Life, please appear and save us!"
As the immense skull continued to press down on the Earth, everyone's hearts filled with despair. They knew there was no escape. They could only kneel and pray to the Lord of Life, their humble protector.
One by one, humans knelt toward the statue of the Lord of Life, crying out.
"Great Lord of Life, you are the master of all life! Your power is unmatched!"
"Please descend and protect your humble followers!"
Effie's face twisted with fury as she looked up at the skull descending toward Earth.
"How dare you! This is the land of my master. You are not welcome here! Leave!" Effie's cold voice echoed across the skies, bringing a glimmer of hope to the people.
When they saw Effie take action, many of the people felt hope. In their eyes, the Lord of Life was invincible, their supreme guardian!
With those words, Effie and Doctor Strange shot toward the massive skull, reaching outer space in an instant to confront it.
Before she could strike, however, a dark figure shot out from the Dark Elves' flagship at an unimaginable speed, arriving in front of Effie.
A giant fist, as large as a cooking pot, slammed into her with earth-shattering power, sending her flying thousands of meters into a mountain.
"Boom!"
The mountain peak was instantly obliterated.
Effie landed in the rubble, shocked and confused. The figure was none other than Malekith, who she had just defeated.
"Hehe, this is the purest form of dark power, so strong, it feels incredible!" Malekith laughed madly.
Effie's face grew grim. She hadn't expected this weakling to have grown so much stronger with Dormammu's dark power.
From the aura Malekith now emitted, it was clear that he was at least semi-divine, if not more.
Effie wasn't afraid, though. As a semi-divine herself, she was far stronger than Malekith.
"You're my opponent," Effie sneered, "If you want to fight Dormammu, you're not worthy!"
Hearing this, Malekith's eyes narrowed, and he charged at her again.
Effie, however, remained calm. As Malekith struck, she phased out of existence, causing him to pass through her and crash into the mountain behind her.
"You can only use sneak attacks once," Effie taunted. "Anything more is just boring!"
"Dammit!" Malekith shouted, furious. He unleashed a massive dark fist, like a creature from the abyss, toward Effie.
Effie smiled faintly and raised her hand to meet it.
In an instant, her holy light exploded forth, shaking the very heavens, and the stars trembled.
Under the light's power, all darkness was banished, and the dark fist disintegrated in seconds, along with Malekith, who perished in disbelief.
