Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Beyond Limits

Dragon Ball Super: A Rift in Dimensions - Chapter 3: Beyond Limits

Vegeta, the Saiyan Prince, was the first to react, though his response was uncharacteristically muted. His jaw tightened, and his eyes widened almost imperceptibly. He had witnessed countless transformations, surpassed his own limits time and again, but this… this was something different. "Impossible…" he muttered, his voice barely a whisper. "What is that power?"

Gohan, ever the scholar, felt a prickle of unease. He recognized the raw, untamed energy, a primal force that resonated with the Saiyan blood within him. But there was something unsettling about it, a sense of uncontrolled power that made him instinctively wary.

Piccolo, the stoic Namekian, remained outwardly composed, but his keen senses detected the danger. He could feel the fabric of reality straining under the immense pressure, a sign that this transformation was pushing the boundaries of what was possible.

Krillin, was simply overwhelmed. He had long grown accustomed to the Saiyans' ability to defy logic, but this was beyond anything he could comprehend. His eyes darted back and forth, trying to make sense of the chaotic energy swirling around GT Goku.

As GT Goku unleashed the full force of his Super Saiyan 5 form, the Z Fighters could only watch in stunned silence. The ground trembled, the sky crackled, and the very air seemed to vibrate with the Saiyan's power. It was a display of strength that defied all reason, a transformation that left them questioning everything they thought they knew about the limits of Saiyan potential.

The emergence of Super Saiyan 5 was a challenge to everything they understood about power and transformation. It was a moment of both awe and dismay, a stark reminder of the boundless potential and inherent instability of the Saiyan race.

...

The battlefield became a blur of silver and purple as GT Goku, consumed by the chaotic power of his incomplete Super Saiyan 5 transformation, clashed with Beerus. The God of Destruction, initially caught off guard by the Saiyan's sudden surge in power, now fought with a renewed intensity.

GT Goku moved with a frenzied ferocity, his attacks unpredictable and devastating. He rained down blows upon Beerus, each one carrying the force of a supernova. The God of Destruction, though still superior in skill and technique, found himself struggling to defend against the sheer, unbridled power of the unstable Saiyan.

"Incredible… his power has skyrocketed!" Beerus exclaimed, narrowly dodging a wild haymaker that would have surely shattered his skull. "But he lacks control. He's like a wild beast!"

Indeed, GT Goku's movements were becoming increasingly erratic. The chaotic energy of Super Saiyan 5 was tearing at his mind, clouding his judgment and eroding his control. He was fighting purely on instinct, driven by a primal urge to protect.

Super Goku, witnessing the battle, felt a surge of both awe and concern. He had never seen power like this before, but he could also sense the danger, the instability that threatened to consume GT Goku.

"He's pushing himself too hard!" Super Goku shouted, trying to get through to his alternate self. "He's going to destroy himself!"

The clash of titans had reached a fever pitch. GT Goku, now radiating the unstable power of Super Saiyan 5, traded blows with Beerus, the God of Destruction. The very fabric of reality seemed to warp and strain with each impact.

"Hraaagh!" GT Goku roared, his voice echoing with primal fury. He launched a flurry of attacks, each carrying the force of a supernova. Beerus, for the first time in a long time, was forced to fight defensively. He parried and dodged, his movements precise and economical, but the sheer intensity of GT Goku's assault was undeniable.

'This power… it's unlike anything I've ever faced,' Beerus thought, a flicker of genuine concern in his eyes. It's raw, untamed, and incredibly destructive.

He had initially dismissed GT Goku as a mere annoyance, a fleeting distraction from his sparring match with Super Goku. But the Super Saiyan 5 transformation had changed everything. The Saiyan's power had surged to a level that even Beerus couldn't ignore.

GT Goku unleashed a devastating kick, sending Beerus hurtling through a cluster of asteroids. The God of Destruction recovered quickly, righting himself in mid-air, but he could feel the sting of the blow. He wiped a trickle of blood from his lip, his expression hardening.

"Very well, Saiyan," Beerus said, his voice laced with a newfound respect. "It seems I underestimated you. But don't think for a moment that this changes anything."

He powered up, his aura flaring with divine energy. The surrounding space trembled as he unleashed a fraction of his true power. He moved with blinding speed, striking GT Goku with a series of precise blows. But the Saiyan, fueled by the chaotic energy of Super Saiyan 5, refused to yield.

He countered Beerus's attacks with his own, his movements wild and unpredictable. He was fighting on instinct, driven by a primal urge to protect everything he held dear. He landed a powerful blow to Beerus's chest, sending the God of Destruction staggering backward.

"Incredible…" Whis murmured, his eyes wide with fascination. "He's actually managing to push Lord Beerus back."

Super Goku, who had been struggling to keep up with the battle, watched in awe. He could feel the immense power radiating from GT Goku, a force that dwarfed even his own Super Saiyan God form.

"He's amazing…" Super Goku said, his voice filled with admiration. "I never knew there was a power like that."

GT Goku and Beerus clashed again, their fists colliding with earth-shattering force. The shockwaves ripped through the cosmos, tearing apart asteroids and distorting space itself. The battle had become a cataclysmic event, a clash of power that threatened to unravel the very fabric of reality.

Beerus, realizing that he could no longer afford to hold back, unleashed a devastating energy blast. GT Goku met the attack with a Kamehameha, the two energy beams colliding in a blinding explosion of light. The force of the impact sent both warriors flying in opposite directions.

GT Goku, battered and bruised, struggled to his feet. He could feel his Super Saiyan 5 form beginning to waver, the unstable energy threatening to consume him. He knew that he couldn't maintain this level of power for much longer.

Beerus, too, was feeling the strain. He had been forced to exert more of his power than he had anticipated, and he could sense the chaotic energy of Super Saiyan 5 disrupting his own divine ki.

"You've impressed me, Saiyan," Beerus said, his voice slightly strained. "But this ends now."

He charged up a Sphere of Destruction, a miniature sun of pure energy that threatened to obliterate everything in its path. GT Goku, knowing that he had only one chance, focused all of his remaining power into a final attack.

"Kaaaa… Meeeee… Haaaaa… Meeeeee… HAAAAAAAAAAA!"

He unleashed a final, desperate Kamehameha, pouring every last ounce of his energy into the attack. The two energy blasts collided, creating a vortex of unimaginable power. The fate of the universe hung in the balance, dependent on the outcome of this final, desperate clash.

The air crackled with anticipation, the tension a palpable force that threatened to shatter the very cosmos. GT Goku, teetering on the brink of oblivion, unleashed his final Kamehameha, a desperate surge of energy fueled by sheer willpower. Beerus, his eyes blazing with divine power, prepared to meet the attack with his Sphere of Destruction, a miniature sun poised to obliterate everything in its path.

But just as the two attacks were about to collide, a figure materialized between them, a serene presence amidst the chaos. Whis, his staff twirling effortlessly, stood calmly between the two warriors, his smile unwavering.

"Enough," Whis stated, his voice soft yet carrying an undeniable authority.

Time seemed to slow to a crawl. The energy blasts hung suspended in mid-air, mere inches from Whis's staff, their power contained by an invisible force. GT Goku, his body screaming in protest, struggled to maintain his Super Saiyan 5 form, but the strain was too much.

His silver fur began to fade, his wild hair shortening, and his chaotic aura flickering before finally dissipating. He gasped for breath, his body trembling uncontrollably as he reverted to his base form. His legs buckled beneath him, and he collapsed to his knees, his vision blurring.

"Goku!" Super Goku cried out, concern etched on his face. He rushed to his counterpart's side, helping him to stay upright.

Beerus, his Sphere of Destruction still hovering before him, lowered his hand slightly, his expression a mixture of annoyance and grudging respect. He knew that Whis had intervened for a reason, and he trusted his attendant's judgment.

"Whis, what is the meaning of this?!" Beerus demanded, his voice laced with impatience. "I was about to settle things once and for all."

"Patience, Lord Beerus," Whis replied, his smile never faltering. "I simply felt that things were getting a bit… out of hand. And besides," he added, glancing at the exhausted GT Goku, "I believe our Saiyan friend has reached his limit."

He turned his attention to GT Goku, his eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and concern. "You have fought well, Saiyan," Whis said, his voice surprisingly gentle. "You have pushed yourself beyond your limits, and you have shown remarkable courage. But it is time for you to rest."

He tapped his staff on the ground, and a soothing energy washed over GT Goku, easing his pain and calming his racing heart. The Saiyan's eyes fluttered closed, and he slumped against Super Goku, unconscious.

"He is merely exhausted," Whis assured Super Goku. "He will recover in time. But for now, it is best that he is allowed to rest."

He turned back to Beerus, his smile widening once more. "As for you, Lord Beerus," Whis said, his voice regaining its usual playful tone, "I believe it is time for us to return home. I have a feeling that you have had quite enough excitement for one day."

Beerus grumbled, but he knew that Whis was right. He had been pushed harder than he had anticipated, and he could sense that the battle was taking its toll. Besides, he had seen enough to satisfy his curiosity.

"Very well," Beerus conceded, his voice grudging. "But don't think that this is over, Whis. I still intend to settle things with this Saiyan… eventually."

Whis levitated GT Goku's body into the air. "I will take him somewhere safe, where he can recover. But he cannot remain here. His presence is too dangerous."

"Hmm," Beerus mused, stroking his chin. "I must admit, Saiyans, you have surprised me. Your potential is… intriguing. Especially that one from another dimension. Such raw, untamed power…"

He glanced at the unconscious GT Goku, who was now resting peacefully in Whis's care a short distance away.

"Normally, I would destroy a planet that dared to challenge me," Beerus continued, his voice regaining its usual playful tone. "But I am feeling… generous today. And I must admit, I am curious to see how much stronger you mortals can become."

He turned his gaze back to Super Goku, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "I will spare Earth… for now. But do not disappoint me. Continue to grow stronger, Saiyan. Or I may change my mind."

With a flick of his wrist, Beerus turned and began to walk away, Whis following close behind with GT Goku still levitating in his care.

"Come, Whis," Beerus said. "Let us see if we can stabilize that other Saiyan's condition. Such power should not be wasted."

As they walked, Whis gently healed GT Goku, mending his broken bones and soothing his ravaged muscles. He also used his divine energy to suppress the chaotic energy that still lingered within him, preventing it from causing further damage.

With a final glance at Super Goku, Whis vanished, taking GT Goku and beerus with him into the swirling vortex of energy that would transport them back to their home.

Super Goku stood alone on the battlefield, the weight of the situation crashing down upon him. He had witnessed the incredible power of GT Goku, the lengths to which he was willing to go to protect others. But he had also seen the danger, the instability that threatened to consume him.

He was willing to sacrifice everything… for this world, Super Goku thought, his eyes hardening with determination. I can't let his sacrifice be in vain. I have to get stronger. I have to find a way to surpass my limits and protect my timeline.

The battle was over, at least for now, and the fate of the universe remained uncertain.
