JAY's POV
After godfather's call my mind was racing with infinte questions and so was the case with the others.
Kuya and Aries were still confused about what was going on but determined to face whatever comes next. I could see a mix of fear and anger on mason, Aya, Alex and mateo's faces.
Ik why it was but right now wasn't the time or place to discuss about it.
I pushed my thoughts away and focused on the meetings. Me, kuya, Aries, James and Jordan reached fer Corp soon.
The whole morning went by in boring and endless meeting. That Ralph was still acting like a very prickly thorn. I don't get what his deal is but he feels a bit sketchy to me.
Whatever. I kept getting calls from keifer and the others but I ignored them. I'm still mad at them for hiding the truth from me, even if only for a day. The section e group was blowing up with texts but I chose not to check them and instead focused on the meetings.
Soon we were done with the meetings at fer Corp and went home.
We reached home and found the team, Lola and tita in the living room.
Lola: ur home. How was the meetings.
Jay: very tiring Lola.
Aries: but we managed.
Kuya: they r both learning quickly.
Lola: that's good. Come eat, food is ready, u all must be hungry.
Jay: yes Lola. We haven't eaten anything properly since morning.
"Glutton", Aries muttered under his breath.
Jay: horoscope!
I replied.
Kuya just sighed and walked to the dining table while shaking his head.
We all ate our food silently and then hung out in the living room.
Kuya and Lola went upstairs to discuss about us leaving early, Tita was roaming somewhere and Aries was upstairs in his room probably talking to ella.
Mason: so what r u going to do Jay?
Jay( confused ): about what?
Mason: about the things that happened ofc. How r u going to handle it?
They all looked at me, clearly waiting for my answer.
I shrugged.
Jay: u already know then why r u asking.
Mason: we only a little bit. How r u going to act with the others. R u just going to push them away again?
Jay: it's for there best and u know it. For now let's just get this meeting over with and wait for the back up to arrive. Leave the rest to me. Let's just get ready to leave ok.
Mason: fine. But don't push us away as well Jay.
I simply nodded.
We all got ready after a while and then left for the meeting after informing kuya about it.
We soon reached the grand hotel and made our way to the room rented for the meeting. It was on the top floor- 7th floor.
Some men were already there waiting for us outside the door. We went through some safety checking and then entered the room.
The moment my eyes fell on the person sitting on the chair at the end of a large table, I stopped in my tracks. He met my gaze with the same shocked expression as me.
" Robin ", me and the person next to me said-mason.
Robin: Jay? Mason? What r u doing here.
Jay: wait. U two know each other.
Mason: he's my cousin. We became distant when I moved to the city but how do u know him?
Jay: he was my first boyfriend.
Mason: what?
Robin: what r u two doing here?
Mason: we could ask u the same question brother.
Robin: I'm here for a meeting.
Jay: same. Wait, don't tell me u r the leader of the local gangs and the rich man we r supposed to meet.
Robin: yeah. That's me. So which one of u am I having a meeting with?
Jay: me. I'm the league's head. Mason's my right hand, teammate, like a kuya and a part of the inner circle.
Robin: wow. Looks like a lot has changed. So what about the others.
Jay: they r my teammates and inner circle members as well. This is Aya, Alex and Mateo. And James and Jordan r my personal bodyguards.
I said pointing at them.
Robin: ok. Come take a seat.
I nodded and then we all settle down on the large table.
Robin: ok first of all how have u been and how did all this happen?
Jay: I'm fine. I have a boyfriend now and all this is a long story. Maybe I'll tell u some other time. How r u now. How did u become the leader.
Robin: I'm fine too. I also have a boyfriend now. Everythings running smoothly since I took control. And all the credits goes to u and the infamous section e.
Jay: us? How?
Robin: Cyrus was the one in control before. Then u put him in a coma and I took over. But then he came back and became a problem for me but I didn't even have to lift a finger. The section e and u did all the work for me. After that he lost all his reputation among the gangs, they put there trust in me and everything went back to normal and cyrus vanished after that.
Jay: I didn't know that all this was happening.
Robin: Ik but since u helped me and I'm for in ur debt, I accept ur proposal and agree to join the league.
Mateo: well, that was easy.
Robin( chuckling ): yeah just bcz Ik Jay and mason. If u were someone else, I might have given u a hard time.
We all shared a little chuckle.
Robin: ok, all kidding and things aside, since we still have time why don't we eat something and then u can tell me ur long story.
Jay: still the same robin huh.
Robin: ofc but with some upgrades as u can clearly see. So what do u all want to eat. Wait I know what u will eat. Jay, u will order ur favourite Lechon, rice, kikiam, lumpia, chicken adobo and can't forget the ice cream for dessert and mason, u will have rice, some veggies, some macaroni, chicken and some brownies for dessert, am I right?
Jay: exactly, how did u know that.
Mason: same, how did u know that.
Robin( smirking ): bcz Ik u and even though it's been a while since we last saw each other, u guys haven't changed at all. Ok then let's order everyone.
Robin and the others order there food as well and it arrived after a few minutes.
Robin: this hotel's food is one of the best in the phillipines. I should know after all I bought it a few weeks back just bcz of the food and the meetings also.
Jay: wow. Show off huh.
Robin( chuckling ): I wouldn't have been able to if not for u. Yes my family is wealthy but I wanted to buy something with my own money and I earned a lot after becoming the leader here. Ok now enough about my, start with ur story already.
I sighed. Looks like I can't change the topic now.
Jay: fine.
Then started telling him everything from join the league all those years back to now. It was a very very long story, the others helped me explain everything and robin patiently listened to everything we had to say.
By the time we were done telling story, our food and dessert was all gone.
Robin: wow. U went through A LOT, all of u did. I'm surprised u made it this far. U really have some fight in u. I can see why u were made the leader now. Well now I'm more determined to help u out. All my connections and assets r at ur disposal, u just say the word. And don't worry about ur other meetings, they r all my partners, actually the leader of different local gangs, I was selected by them and u know them too. Remember ur partners in crime. Looks like the so called Demons Of Hell r coming back together. They haven't talked much since u left, u were the glue holding them together. I'll convince them, ofc they will get together once they hear that u r calling for help. U can go back to the base stress free.
Jay: thank u so much robin. U know for the listening and the helping. And for taking care of them too. I hope to see them again too. I admit they could be a pain in the ass sometimes but they were my friends once and I would be glad for a reunion, I wish it could have been in a better situation but I guess this is ok too. I have so much to catch up on with all of them.
Robin: anytime Jay. They would be happy to meet u too. One more thing, can I come with u all back to the base. I don't have any work here for weeks, it's all taken care of and I will be able to help better from there. And the others can also join us there.
Jay: uh.... sure why not. We're leaving tomorrow morning u can join us. And the others can come too. Let's just hope kuya won't bury them after seeing them again.🤣
Robin( chuckling ): yeah, one can only hope.🤣
Mason: I'll text u the time and location to meet us. U can bring ur own car and some men for safety.
Robin: sure.
Aya: Jay, it's already 11 pm. Ur kuya will get worried, we should leave now.
Jay: oh, ok. I didn't even realize we talked for so long😁 ok let's go then.
Robin: let me accompany u all to ur cars.
Jay: ok.
We made our way to the parking lot and found yet another surprise waiting for us there.
Why is today full of surprises?🤔 I can't wait for this day to be over😑
And who else could it be other than the most expected people- Yuri and Dylan, standing a few feet away from us, hands in pocket, there gaze scanning everyone then finally meeting mine with the same intensity.
