Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 The matter is temporarily over

When the golden light completely faded, Noah looked at the cultists scattered across the ground before him. They were unconscious, their minds shattered by the magic, their bodies bearing heavy wounds. Noah clapped his hands lightly.

"Alright, that settles it. Now we just wait for the Kingdom Army and the Magic Council to arrive."

Sitting at the entrance of the village, Noah glanced at the rows of black magic cult members lying helpless, as if in a deep sleep. Before long, the Kingdom Army and Magic Council troops rushed in with urgent steps.

Noah sighed inwardly.

"You came rather quickly."

He stood up, dusted himself off, and walked toward the commanders who looked to be in charge.

"Excuse me," one of them asked respectfully, "are you the Fairy Tail wizard who defeated this dark magic cult?"

They had already heard reports that this same wizard had crushed groups of cultists elsewhere. Seeing the evidence before them now, their voices carried genuine respect. Though Noah looked young, his strength was undeniable.

"Yes," Noah replied casually, "but it was just a small matter."

The two officials quickly shook their heads.

"No, no, how could you say that? Without your help, these villages would have suffered terrible losses."

Noah smiled faintly. He was satisfied with their attitude. It was far better than dealing with arrogant officials.

"By the way," one asked, "what should we do with these prisoners? Do you know where their base is?"

"Not yet," Noah admitted. "You'll probably want to interrogate them and find their stronghold as soon as possible. Once you do, you'll be able to storm it and rescue the captives."

"Exactly. That's our plan."

"Good. If you discover their location, let me know. I want to help. These people are unforgivable. The sooner we bring them down, the fewer will suffer."

The officials' faces lit up with relief. Having a wizard of his caliber join the operation would mean fewer casualties for their own forces.

"Of course we would welcome your help," one said quickly, "but we'll need approval from above. We'll send word to our superiors right away, and if they agree, you'll be notified immediately."

"That's fine," Noah said. "Once you know the result, tell my guild master directly. He'll inform me. I believe you have Master Makarov's contact information."

"Yes, yes, of course. We'll report back to Master Makarov. And thank you again for everything you've done here!"

Noah nodded, then added,

"By the way, I directed the villagers of Rosemary to retreat in that direction. Send a few people with me and we can bring them back."

"Understood. Everyone, follow him ah, forgive me, we never asked your name."

"My name is Noah, a wizard of Fairy Tail."

"Alright then. Follow Mr. Noah and help bring the villagers back."

They immediately called a squad to accompany him. After a glance, Noah realized walking back would take far too long. So he had them gather close, traced a glowing circle beneath their feet, and transported them in an instant.

The officials watched the teleportation spell with wide eyes.

"As expected of the wizard who took down an entire cult in one night… he can even teleport with so many at once."

Noah reappeared at the resting site with the squad and walked straight to the village chief.

"Village Chief, these are soldiers from the Kingdom Army and the Magic Council. They've come to help you."

The chief hurried forward to confer with the newcomers, while Noah moved among the villagers, healing the exhausted and the injured. Erza, Simon, and Kagura quickly rushed to help him.

Once Noah had treated the worst of the injuries, the chief and the Council officials reached an agreement: the villagers would return to Rosemary under escort, while the Kingdom and Council would cover repairs to the damaged areas. They also decided to leave troops stationed in the village to prevent another attack.

With everything settled, Noah prepared to leave. But before he did, there was one final and important matter.

He walked up to Erza, Simon, and Kagura. Erza's eyes sparkled with excitement as she asked,

"Brother Noah, what was that magic just now? The magic circle that appeared above the village what kind of spell was it?"

Noah smiled proudly.

"That was one of our guild's three great super magics… Fairy Law."

"Metamagic? Goblin Law?"

Noah shook his head and patiently explained,

"Super magic is a form of sorcery far more powerful than ordinary spells. It's called 'superior among superior magics,' which is why it's shortened to 'super magic.' Only those with exceptionally strong magical power can wield it. If an ordinary person were to attempt it recklessly, they would suffer from severe magical exhaustion.

Fairy Law is one of Fairy Tail's three great super magics. It's a legendary spell of absolute judgment, a magic that defeats darkness with holy light and destroys everything the caster recognizes as an enemy.

Isn't that incredible?"

"Yeah, that's awesome!" the three of them cried, clenching their fists with excitement.

Noah smiled and leaned in slightly.

"So, do you want to join Fairy Tail? If you join, you'll have the chance to learn this kind of powerful magic and others just as strong, maybe even stronger.

And in Fairy Tail, everyone becomes your companion. Your family. You laugh together, play together, and move forward together. Doesn't that sound wonderful?"

Erza, Simon, and Kagura couldn't help imagining what life in such a guild would be like. The thought of gaining strength, learning new magic, and finding a family beyond their village filled their hearts with longing.

Seeing how their eyes lit up, Noah pressed his point gently.

"Besides, joining the guild doesn't mean you'll never come back. On the contrary, it will let you grow stronger, gain more friends, and give you the power to protect your village.

The next time invaders like the Black Magic Cult come, you'll be able to repel them yourselves."

The three of them were completely swayed. Their voices rang out together:

"Brother Noah, we want to join Fairy Tail!"

"Good!" Noah beamed. "I'll take you back now. Rest for the night, and tomorrow, pack your things. Then we'll head to Fairy Tail together."

He informed the village chief and the others that he would return soon, then activated a teleportation spell. In an instant, he and the three children were back in Rosemary Village. Noah exchanged greetings with the Kingdom Army and Magic Council officers still stationed there, then escorted Simon and Kagura back to their homes.

Finally, he returned to Erza's house with her. He spread out a simple bedroll on the living room floor, but instead of lying down to sleep, he quietly slipped away to another place.
