Chapter 72 - Celestials? Even Odin fears these terrifying beings!

But enough with the complaints.

Tony Stark was actually quite interested in the diary's account of the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers teaming up.

Even though Tony Stark genuinely thought the "Guardians of the Galaxy" were overhyping themselves a bit.

Even so, anyone daring to use that name must have some serious skills.

There was no doubt that the Guardians of the Galaxy were a powerful and complex team.

They were probably at least as strong as the Avengers.

In the future, if such a team was joining forces with the Avengers, what kind of terrifying enemy would they be facing?

Could it be that Purple Potato?

According to the diary's intel, that Purple Potato was likely a super boss, and many superheroes had fought him!

Right, and Titan!

That battle took place on a planet that, judging by its name, was clearly from another world.

So it looks like this is an interstellar war?

In other words, in the future, the Avengers are capable of participating in interstellar wars?

Isn't that a little exaggerated?

No, not at all exaggerated!

Didn't the diary say that in the future, his great Tony could go head-to-head with gods, and even with this Purple Potato, reaching the level of a top-tier cosmic powerhouse!

His great Tony is still as outstanding as ever.

"Jarvis!"

After getting a bit cocky, Tony Stark finally remembered the matter at hand and issued another command to Jarvis.

"Search for Titan."

Although he didn't have high hopes, after all, Earth hadn't reached the interstellar age, and exploration of outer space was extremely limited.

But Tony Stark still planned to have Jarvis search some related databases.

What if something related actually turned up?

However, as it turned out, Tony Stark was overthinking things.

"Sir, no relevant information can be retrieved."

Jarvis immediately gave this feedback.

Tony Stark was slightly helpless, but he didn't find it too surprising.

It seemed that the relevant information about Titan, and even the battle on Titan, could only be understood through the diary's spoilers.

Thinking of this, Tony Stark once again focused his attention on the diary in front of him.

[Destroyer VS Destroyer? Haha, that's an interesting topic!]

[Looking at the Destroyers in Marvel, the strongest is undoubtedly the one from Asgard.]

[This is a divine weapon made by Odin specifically from Asgardian Uru metal, supposedly used to combat the Celestials.]

[Even if they just stood there and let Stark and Drax attack it, neither of them could do anything to it.]

[Conversely, if it attacked them even a couple of times, neither of them could withstand it.]

[Asgard's ultimate weapon? You think they were joking around?]

The Destroyer is the strongest of Asgard's weapons?

Always arrogant and cool, thinking he was the best in the world, Tony Stark didn't voice any obvious objections this time.

After all, the playboy wasn't stupid.

He had always thought highly of himself, because compared to ordinary people, and the vast majority of people, Tony Stark was indeed very powerful, very awesome.

But now?

The diary discussed the Destroyer, which came from Asgard!

And the diary was very clear about it, that it was a weapon forged by Odin, the god-king of a generation!

Even if Tony Stark was arrogant, he wouldn't think his iron junk was stronger than something of that level.

Of course.

This situation was only limited to the present.

"Even if my Destroyer can't compare to Asgard's Destroyer now."

"But one day, my Destroyer will become the most powerful Destroyer!"

"A Destroyer even stronger than Asgard's Destroyer!"

Tony Stark couldn't help but make such a boast, full of confidence.

"Yes, sir, you will."

Jarvis expressed his deep agreement.

But whether he truly believed it or was just flattering his narcissistic boss, only Jarvis knew.

"However, sir, aren't you curious about what the Celestials are?"

Jarvis's voice followed, the super AI had noticed a very special name.

In fact, he didn't need to say much, the playboy had noticed it too.

Firstly, just looking at the name, "Celestials," it was bound to be a super awesome existence.

Even just looking at the name, it was superior to legends like Thor and Odin.

Looking at the diary, Odin created the Destroyer, an ultimate weapon, to fight against the Celestials?

The Celestials were so intimidating that even someone like Odin was wary of them?

Odin was the Allfather!

So, what exactly were the Celestials?

Tony Stark truly couldn't imagine.

[Asgard's Destroyer is the strongest, without a doubt.]

[The second strongest Destroyer would be the Iron Man armor that Stark created.]

[Of course, that's the later Iron Man armor. The current first generation armor is just so-so.]

[It has advantages against ordinary people, but it's useless against Drax.]

[It would probably be smashed into scrap metal by Drax in a few hits.]

[Not just Drax, even someone like the Winter Soldier could probably crush it!]

This Zhou Cheng was at it again, badmouthing him!

Tony Stark couldn't help but roll his eyes, already used to it.

He was naturally unhappy to see the other person devaluing his Iron Man armor.

You said it yourself, that was just the first generation armor.

This was just a little toy that the great Tony had just cobbled together!

But his great Tony's brilliant mind had only scratched the surface, he hadn't even had a chance to truly show off yet!

But, could that Drax now really just smash his Iron Man armor into scrap metal with his bare hands?

It seemed that this Drax was indeed no ordinary person.

No wonder he could join this interstellar organization called the "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Wait, wait a minute!

Winter Soldier!

While internally complaining, Tony Stark's gaze inadvertently landed on a name, and his expression immediately changed.

It was the executioner who killed his parents!

Seeing this name again, the playboy couldn't help but reveal a hint of killing intent on his face.

"Jarvis, after all this time, have you found any clues about the Winter Soldier?"

Tony Stark immediately asked Jarvis in a deep voice.

"Sir, I'm sorry, the Winter Soldier is indeed a ghost. Even I can't retrieve any relevant traces."

Jarvis gave this answer.

Tony Stark wasn't surprised by this.

If Jarvis had actually found something, he wouldn't have waited for Tony to ask, he would have reported it immediately.

"Didn't that video capture the Winter Soldier's face? Can't you find someone who matches?" Tony Stark asked somewhat unwillingly.

"After comparison, there is only one person who fits the characteristics, but that person died seventy years ago."

Jarvis gave this answer.

"That Captain America's comrade, Bucky Barnes from the Howling Commandos?"

Tony Stark naturally knew who Jarvis was talking about.

"Yes, sir."

"Besides that, there's no one else who matches the description."

But how could someone who died seventy years ago be the Winter Soldier?

Just what kind of terrifying power was behind that guy?

To erase all traces related to this person so cleanly, leaving nothing behind?

Although Tony Stark didn't know what organization was behind the Winter Soldier.

But without a doubt, it had to be a terrifying organization, with unimaginable power.

Even so, he, Tony Stark, wouldn't give up!

No matter what the Winter Soldier and those behind him were, one day, Tony Stark would destroy them without mercy!

"The Winter Soldier, is actually a super soldier?"

Black Widow was slightly stunned, but then she understood.

No wonder that guy was so powerful, so terrifying!

As a level seven agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Black Widow was considered top-tier even among all the field agents of the intelligence agencies.

Having been with S.H.I.E.L.D. for so many years and completing countless missions, she was capable of handling almost any terrifying enemy with ease.

However, when facing the Winter Soldier back then, Black Widow was utterly defeated!

If she hadn't been lucky, she would have been finished!

The Winter Soldier had left an extremely deep impression on Black Widow.

At the time, Black Widow had secretly lamented that the Winter Soldier's power was beyond that of a normal human.

Who would have guessed that he really wasn't ordinary?

He was a genuine super soldier!

So the question was:

Who created a super soldier like the Winter Soldier?

Black Widow knew very well.

Ever since Captain America first appeared, over the past seventy years, countless people had been secretly conducting clandestine experiments.

Attempting to replicate Captain America's miracle.

Even that terrifying, unknown behemoth, the one that might be the "Hulk," came about this way.

But up until now, no organization had ever succeeded! Not even the military.

Not even S.H.I.E.L.D.!

But it seems that's not the case now.

Someone actually succeeded! Who exactly is it?

No, not even the Winter Soldier would be needed. Just a second-rate guy like Whiplash could probably beat the crap out of Stark, right?

Speaking of which, at this point in time, has Ivan Vanko's father died or not?

[But that doesn't matter anymore. Whether his old man is dead or not, it doesn't stop this father and son from hating Stark to the bone.]

[Although it's not clear when Ivan Vanko became Whiplash, it shouldn't have been too long, right?]

[This is Iron Man's second nemesis!]

Whiplash?

His, Tony's, second nemesis?

Tony Stark was extremely interested in this part of the diary's spoilers.

Through the previous diary spoilers, the playboy already knew that his first nemesis was Iron Monger.

That is, his dear Uncle Obadiah.

At that moment, Tony Stark was muttering to himself, thinking that if there was a first nemesis, there would be a second, a third, or even an Nth.

Who would these nemeses be?

Tony Stark had thought about it, even "simulating" all the people he had offended and those with conflicting interests.

He did this to try and figure out who his future nemeses might be.

But no matter how he thought about it, Tony Stark never imagined that Ivan Vanko, a name he'd never heard before, would be among them.

Tony Stark swore he had never heard that name.

The diary's claim that Ivan Vanko hated him to the bone was even more baffling.

What exactly had he done to make Ivan Vanko, or even Ivan Vanko and his father, hate him so much?

Could it be that he had… offended Ivan Vanko's sister, or maybe his older sister, or even… his mother?

Asleep?

Considering his playboy lifestyle, Tony Stark could only think of one possibility.

"Jarvis, search for Ivan Vanko!"

Having thought about it but not getting anywhere, Tony Stark handed the task to his trusty assistant, Jarvis.

"Sir, there are six figures with that name across America."

"Without more specific criteria, that's meaningless."

Jarvis gave that reply.

"Are there any who have interacted with me, or are likely to, or perhaps have interacted with Stark Industries?"

"None, sir!"

Tony Stark fell into deep thought.

If that's the case, things might be a bit tricky.

Just relying on that name to find "Whiplash," alright Whiplash, a nickname just as unpleasant as Iron Monger, far worse than the Destroyer!

The playboy couldn't help but complain in his heart, then furrowed his brow slightly.

Finding this Ivan Vanko was far more difficult than finding Zhou Cheng, the owner of that diary!

"Wait a minute, Vanko!"

However, the playboy's mind was still very sharp.

After just a moment of frowning, he immediately thought of something.

The name Ivan Vanko might not have any connection to Stark, but the surname "Vanko" he could still work with!

Tony Stark clearly remembered that his father, Howard, had a business partner back then.

His name was, it seemed, Anthony Vanko!

Anthony Vanko was Howard's capable partner back then, and even some scientific achievements bore their joint signatures.

However, for some unknown reason, the two seemed to have gone their separate ways later.

Could it be because of some conflict of interests?

So, that's what caused Anthony Vanko to hate his father?

And then, that Anthony Vanko had a son, Ivan Vanko, mentioned in the diary, who also hated him?

Of course.

This was purely baseless speculation.

But the only thing Tony Stark could think of regarding Ivan Vanko was the possible conflict between them.
