Chapter 144 - Odin is Also an Avenger! Prehistoric Avengers Exist in the Universe!

Not only that…

With this revelation, Thor immediately recalled something.

In Asgard's treasury, there was indeed a massive golden glove.

And on that golden glove, some colorful gems were embedded!

Previously, Thor hadn't paid it much attention. After all, Asgard's treasury contained countless treasures, and he hadn't studied each in detail—he only had a general impression.

But now it seemed clear: that glove must be the Infinity Gauntlet!

And if that was true, then the gems embedded on its back… those must be the Infinity Stones.

So the powerful Infinity Stones mentioned in the diary—they were these gems?

Asgard had always possessed them?

But wait…

Thor frowned slightly as he thought more carefully.

The diary said his father, Odin, had given up collecting the Infinity Stones.

Yet he clearly remembered that the glove was already embedded with all the Infinity Stones!

Could it be that aside from the stones in the glove, other Infinity Stones existed elsewhere in the universe?

But this also seemed odd.

The names "Infinity Gauntlet" and "Infinity Stones" imply they're a set.

The glove's slots were already filled. Doesn't that indicate the collection was complete?

Was the diary's author, Zhou Cheng, mistaken? Or was Thor's assumption wrong? Even with all the stones in the glove, could others still exist?

Thor considered both possibilities, but he couldn't draw a definite conclusion.

He would have to ask Odin himself once he returned to Asgard.

"Infinity Gauntlet?"

Tony Stark's expression stiffened as he read the diary.

He noticed the diary mentioning this crucial artifact.

Although this was the first time the diary mentioned it, there was no doubt: the Infinity Gauntlet was specifically designed to hold the Infinity Stones. They were made to be used together.

Even the Playboy Tony could guess how it worked: embed the stones in the glove, wear it, and unleash the Infinity Stones' power.

The logic was straightforward and clear—almost self-evident. No analysis was needed.

That wasn't the problem.

The real question was: if Odin used the Infinity Stones with the Gauntlet, what about that Purple Tuber?

Was it the same process?

Tony couldn't judge, lacking a full understanding of the Gauntlet and the Stones.

One thing was clear, though: there couldn't be too many Infinity Stones.

After all, one glove could hold them all!

Considering the Purple Tuber was collecting the Infinity Stones, Tony didn't know whether this was good news or bad.

On one hand, more stones meant greater power—good.

On the other hand, fewer stones meant easier collection—bad, if someone as ambitious as the Purple Tuber could easily gather them.

[To deal with the Celestials, Odin must have worked extremely hard.]

[But did Odin know there was already an embryonic Celestial Group on Earth?]

[Unfortunately, Odin died before that Celestial Group was born. No one probably knows the answer.]

[Even if Odin had known, he probably couldn't have done anything.]

[Across Asgard, besides Odin and Thor, no one else could contend with the Celestial Group.]

[And the prehistoric Avengers who fought the Celestials millions of years ago—now only Odin remains.]

[What could Odin do now? Rely on the current Avengers?]

"Celestial Group… on Earth?"

Tony Stark frowned.

After reading more about the Celestials in the diary, he had little love for these powerful beings.

Experimenting on higher life forms? That was cruel and perverse.

Add the misdeeds of the defective Celestial, Ego, and it was clear—they were villains.

Originally, watching Odin fight them from millions of years ago was interesting, almost like watching a historical spectacle.

After all, it happened so long ago, mostly irrelevant to them.

Even though Ego's era was more recent, Star-Lord handled him, so Tony hadn't worried.

Yet Tony never expected that Earth would host other Celestials!

The diary clearly mentioned an embryonic Celestial Group—not yet born, only appearing after Odin's death.

But if it's embryonic, does that mean there's a "mother Celestial Group" on Earth?

Wait, that didn't sound right.

If that were true, the diary would have just said so.

Why use the term "embryonic Celestial Group"? It seemed like there was only this one, and no other Celestial Group on Earth!

Tony realized he might be imposing mammalian reproduction assumptions onto this alien species—possible.

After thinking, he nodded.

The diary never revealed the reproduction method of Celestials, so he couldn't know.

For such a transcendent race, even an embryo surviving alone wasn't strange.

So there was no point overthinking it.

What truly concerned Tony was: why was the embryonic Celestial Group on Earth?

Why did they choose Earth to incubate them?

The diary implied it wouldn't take long for them to "mature" and be born!

That meant another Celestial Group would soon appear on Earth.

The question: what would they do?

Would they experiment on humans like with the Eternals and mutants?

Or something else? Or maybe nothing, just leave?

Tony didn't know.

But he did know: if the Celestials wanted something, Earth would face disaster.

Millions of years ago, Odin was already mentally scarred by them.

Even a defective like Ego could devour entire universes.

The power level of the Celestials was apparent.

As the diary asked: could the Avengers handle such beings?

"Prehistoric Avengers?"

"Were there Avengers in prehistoric times?"

Nick Fury was truly shocked.

After Captain Marvel left Earth, Fury had the idea to form the Avengers to combat alien threats.

He subconsciously believed the Avengers were his "original idea."

Yet it turned out, prehistoric Avengers already existed!

That was prehistoric—Earth still in the Stone Age, humans were primitive.

This revelation completely caught Fury off guard.

Even more shocking: Odin was one of those Avengers!

Though the other members were unknown, fighting alongside Odin meant their power was comparable.

This prehistoric Avengers team was absurdly powerful.

Compared to them, Fury's current Avengers were just playing house.

Of course, he believed that was only the present.

The diary also mentioned the future Avengers, including formidable figures:

Scarlet Witch after darkening, able to tear through multiverses

Doctor Strange after darkening, able to destroy entire universes

Vision, the mysterious android

Thor, after evolving, almost killing the fully gemmed Purple Tuber

And many others to look forward to.

[The current Avengers? Forget it. Too weak against the Celestials.]

[Even the future Avengers… not much better.]

[Black Widow, Tony, Vision dead; Captain America and Hawkeye retired; Thor left Earth.]

[Scarlet Witch trapped in her utopia, Strange returned to Kamar-Taj, Hulk likely busy training She-Hulk.]

[The Avengers never formally disbanded, but were near collapse.]

[Fury even had to rely on a high school Spider-Man to deal with the Elementals!]

Ah!

Tony twitched slightly.

He knew the Avengers would reach a peak in the future, able to fight cosmic-level beings.

But after the peak, they would decline to this state.

Old Tony, Black Widow dead; Cap and Hawkeye retired; Thor gone. The original team left only Banner?

And Banner seemed unsettled, training She-Hulk… Wait, She-Hulk?

So Hulk wasn't unique?

There was another Hulk in the world?

How is that possible? Military experiments? Serum replication? Or some Hulk-replicating villain?

Tony knew the rules and the powers of the elite—he wasn't surprised.

But the question: why is Hulk training She-Hulk?

The diary clearly said Hulk was training She-Hulk, not Banner!

Hulk? Seriously?

Besides smashing everything, he could do… this?

Having experienced Hulk's smashing firsthand, Tony doubted it immensely.

Still, he admitted it was good.

Though he didn't know how, future Hulk could control his anger—well enough to train others.

Banner would eventually reach that level, Tony hoped.

"Elementals?"

This new term caught Tony's attention.

It hadn't appeared before—first mention in the diary.

The word itself offered hints:

"Element" → physical, chemical, natural elements, etc.

"Group" → indicates a collective

So "Elementals" likely meant a group controlling some elemental powers.

Though identities were unknown, such abilities made them formidable.

Spider-Man could handle them, according to Fury.

And the diary confirmed: Spider-Man was still a high schooler!

A child, essentially!

The diary previously noted Spider-Man's strength surpassed Captain America—could lift trains, pull ships.

And yet, as a child, he already reached that level? Remarkable.
