"That's right, Thor."
Captain America agreed with this, and then asked, "How much do you know about the planet called Vanaheim?"
Thor shook his head: "I've never been to that place. It's a dead planet."
So, he knows nothing?
The other Avengers understood.
In this situation, Thor was clearly not going to be helpful.
They needed to find another way to find Jane Foster.
"Looks like, we need a plan!"
Captain America said meaningfully to everyone.
Everyone naturally had no objections to this.
They relied on this abandoned building to establish a simple command center.
A group of people began to gather together and launch a heated discussion on how to find Jane Foster.
But unfortunately.
Looking for a person on a planet that had been abandoned for many years was a very difficult thing for anyone.
Even for the prince from Asgard, or the Eternals.
For the moment, no one had any particularly good methods.
"Sir, we've found Jane!"
"She suddenly reappeared!"
Just when everyone was feeling incredibly frustrated, Coulson brought unexpected news.
"Quick!"
"Where is she?"
Now, there was no hesitation.
They immediately followed Coulson out of the temporary command center, navigating through several corridors until they reached an incredibly spacious open area.
There, a woman was arguing animatedly with several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.
"I'm sorry, ma'am, but you can't leave for the time being."
"You can't do this! You're infringing on my personal freedom, and you're suspected of intimidation, kidnapping, and threatening my personal safety. I'll call the police, believe me or not."
It turned out that after the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents discovered Jane Foster, they immediately took control of her.
As an elite, Jane, of course, wouldn't sit idly by and began to use legal weapons to defend her rights.
"Ms. Foster, please don't get excited, we're not bad people."
Accompanied by footsteps, Jane Foster saw a group of people walking over.
The leader, who didn't look like a good person at all, Nick Fury, spoke to comfort Jane Foster in a seemingly genuine manner.
But this didn't bring Jane any peace of mind.
Until Jane Foster's gaze fell on the others.
"Captain America?"
"Tony Stark?"
Jane was completely stunned.
She didn't know who Nick Fury was, but Jane Foster recognized the famous Captain America and the Destroyer at a glance.
Because of this, a huge weight in her heart finally lifted.
Since these two had appeared, well, it seemed what that Nick Fury said was probably true; these people likely weren't the bad…
Wait a minute!
As these thoughts flashed through her mind, Jane's gaze inadvertently swept across, and she was stunned.
She stared straight at Thor, with countless questions in her heart.
"Why does this guy look so familiar?"
The girl was certain she'd seen him before!
Definitely seen him somewhere!
As a top-tier scientist, Jane Foster actually had a pretty good memory.
Although it had been more than three years since she'd bumped into Thor, the girl still had some recollection.
She just needed to think it over.
"Excuse me, I think we've met before?"
Jane Foster couldn't help but stare intently at Thor, confirming with him, "No, I'm sure we've met."
"Of course we've met."
Thor smiled, briefly introducing himself, "I had just arrived on Earth then, but your car hit me."
"You're that crazy guy who claimed to be Thor!"
Jane Foster suddenly realized something, and a strange expression couldn't help but appear on her face.
Why is this crazy person dressed like this?
Is it because the illness hasn't been cured yet?
No, I have to stay away from this person with a messed-up mind.
The girl secretly became more vigilant, and her footsteps also quietly moved back a bit.
Thor's mouth couldn't help but twitch.
He emphasized to Jane Foster, "I am Thor!"
"OK! OK!"
Jane didn't bother arguing with Thor. After interrupting him, she looked at the others with a puzzled expression, "Can someone please tell me what's going on? Captain America and the Destroyer have appeared at the same time, frankly, I'm a little scared!"
"Jane, you must have encountered some unusual things, right?"
Black Widow stepped forward, giving Jane Foster a meaningful look.
Unusual events?
Jane instinctively recalled being inexplicably sucked into that room, entering a "different dimension," and discovering a mass of red particles.
"No!"
"Nothing at all!"
But soon, Jane Foster shook her head decisively.
The girl was afraid that if she spoke of those abnormal events, this mysterious place would be taken over by the relevant departments.
Her research would be forced to halt.
Good heavens, a place this amazing, a girl just wouldn't give up on it so easily.
Even though Jane Foster understood that, judging by the current situation, the chances of her keeping it a secret were slim.
But Jane still wasn't willing to just hand it over.
"Really?"
Black Widow smiled, "Then can you tell us where you disappeared to for the last five hours?"
"What do you mean?"
A look of bewilderment first appeared on Jane Foster's face, then her eyes widened suddenly, "Five hours! Has five hours already passed!"
Damn it!
It's been that long already!
Jane Foster blinked, and it still felt like it had just happened!
But now, she suddenly realized that so much time had actually passed.
"Wait, where's Daisy?"
"What did you do to her?"
Jane Foster anxiously asked her intern.
As for her intern's intern?
Who was that?
Jane subconsciously ignored them.
"Ms. Daisy is fine, she's already left."
Nick Fury took over the conversation and began to formally negotiate with Jane, "But you, on the other hand, may not be. You probably don't even know your own situation, do you?"
"What do you mean?" Jane frowned.
"We're certain that your body is being parasitized by a dangerous, unknown substance, and believe me, that's a huge problem."
"And what we're going to do next is help you get that thing out."
Nick Fury didn't beat around the bush any longer.
"What exactly is going on?"
"What is that thing?"
"And who are you?"
Seeing that the other party did know everything, Jane Foster didn't bother to hide anything, but still looked wary.
Also worth mentioning.
Because the Battle of New York was nipped in the bud, the Chitauri never even descended upon New York.
Therefore, the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. hadn't been formally "exposed," and their notoriety was far inferior to that of the original timeline.
"FBI."
"Captain America and the Destroyer are consultants we specifically asked to come."
"Ms. Foster, this matter is more serious than you imagine."
Black Widow produced the FBI credentials she had prepared and placed them before Jane Foster.
With the FBI involved, and with Captain America and the Destroyer present, even Jane Foster couldn't remain composed.
She didn't hide anything further, instead detailing her experiences to everyone, in meticulous detail.
Aether!
It really is the Aether!
After hearing Jane Foster's description, everyone couldn't help but feel their spirits lift, their expressions turning serious.
That so-called "red particle," without a doubt, was the Aether, right?
"Phastos, I'm counting on you."
Nick Fury nodded solemnly at Phastos.
Phastos stepped forward, and with a gentle flick of his hands, strands of golden energy were released.
Jane Foster on the opposite side was stunned: "Wow, what is this? What are you going to do?"
"Don't be nervous, relax."
"I need to run some initial tests on you first."
Phastos greeted Jane Foster and then began to manipulate the golden energy lines, sending them into Jane's body.
Although Jane had never experienced anything like this before, since it was an official operation, and backed by Captain America and Stark, the girl wasn't actually that nervous.
She was even more curious.
Like everyone else around her, she widened her eyes, watching the golden threads play around on her.
Buzz!
The process lasted for about half a minute.
Everyone clearly saw that some very active red particles began to spill out of Jane's skin.
They were like a fluid, wriggling irregularly.
"So, that's the thing inside me?"
"Shit! Get it out, quick!"
Jane Foster immediately felt a chill and couldn't help but urge them.
"Phastos, how's it going?"
Tony asked from the side.
"I can take it out."
"But it will take some time."
Phastos was still very reliable and gave a definite answer.
It has to be said, the super scientist from the Eternals is truly something else. He can do things that even all of Asgard can't, without a second thought.
"It's alright, I'm not in any rush to go anywhere."
Jane Foster was completely accepting of this.
Even just thinking that she actually had this thing inside her made the girl's heart race.
The rest goes without saying.
No one present bothered Phastos, and everyone just watched his "performance" in silence.
The scene became quiet for a while.
This process lasted for about fifteen minutes, and Phastos suddenly reminded everyone: "Okay!"
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Following Phastos's final words, and one last operation.
From Jane Foster's mouth, ears, nostrils, and the pores of her skin, a large number of red particles began to continuously emerge.
All of them gathered into a small container that Phastos had prepared, and were then sealed with several more "seals" by Phastos, successfully contained within.
"Great! Success!"
Everyone on the scene was excited, including Jane Foster herself.
"Jane, thank you for your cooperation."
Black Widow immediately nodded at Jane Foster. "You can leave now, but we may need to contact you at any time to understand the situation."
Of course, Black Widow didn't plan on contacting Jane again.
She said that just to make her FBI identity seem more realistic.
"Just like that?"
"Come on, you can't do this!"
"At least tell me what's going on! I'm involved, I have the right to know!"
Jane Foster, brimming with curiosity, began shouting at everyone at the scene.
But unfortunately.
No one offered Jane Foster any answers.
Black Widow casually assigned two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to send Jane Foster away.
The Avengers and the Eternals, including Phastos, gathered once again at the temporary command center to discuss serious matters.
What serious matters?
Naturally, it was about how to deal with the Aether, or rather, the Reality Stone.
After all, everyone knew that the Dark Elves would eventually come to seize the Aether; this problem hadn't been resolved yet.
"Just as I suggested before, we take the initiative!"
"We go to Vanaheim, find the Dark Elves, and eliminate them!"
"It's that simple!"
Thor declared with a powerful voice.
Regarding this issue, everyone had actually discussed it before and had reached a preliminary consensus:
To set the battlefield in Vanaheim.
After all, according to the diary's spoilers, the Dark Elves' fleet was still very powerful.
Neither Asgard nor Earth wanted to truly suffer the ravages of such an interstellar fleet.
Going to Vanaheim for the final battle seemed to be the most appropriate method, no matter how you looked at it.
"Outer space, huh? I've never been," Tony said, his eyes gleaming.
The others chimed in with their own opinions, and there wasn't much dissent.
They quickly reached a very agreeable decision: to head to Vanaheim to investigate.
If they found anything, Thor would immediately summon Asgard's army to obliterate the threat in Vanaheim.
After reaching an agreement, they wasted no time and gathered in the vacant lot of the abandoned building.
"Heimdall, send us to Vanaheim!"
Thor looked up and called out to Heimdall in Asgard.
Whoosh!
A beam of rainbow-colored light immediately shot down, enveloping the Avengers and Phastos.
When the light dissipated, everyone within it had vanished as well.
Undoubtedly, they had gone to Vanaheim.
Fury glanced at the empty scene without saying much, and strode away with a swagger.
There was nothing he could do next.
Or rather, the only thing he could do was wait for good news from them.
However, three consecutive days passed, and there was no news from the Avengers or Phastos.
Instead, the Diary had another update.
[Gravity anomalies have begun to appear all over the world. This is the precursor to the Convergence.]
[Dr. Selvig has also run naked to Stonehenge. Undoubtedly, the Dark Elves incident is about to begin.]
[I just don't know what Dr. Selvig is doing running to Stonehenge? Has he discovered something?]
[I remember that in the main universe, Stonehenge was an ancient magic circle!]
[Malekith also used Stonehenge to create a "Second Generation Black Death Sword," which was simply unstoppable. Odin and Frigga were swept aside when they teamed up.]
[However, in the 199999 Universe, Malekith is not Frigga's match at all.]
[I really didn't expect Frigga, as a great mage, would be so strong in close combat, beating Malekith senseless.]
