Chapter 65 - Chapter 65 You Can't Take Smoke

He didn't listen to her explanation; she really no explain.

She left the boy outside all alone.

Su Qing bought the test paper and pushed the door open, only to see the boy outside.

He stood leaning against the wall, his wispy hair obscuring his eyes. A half-lit cigarette clung to his thin lips, a hint of hostility etched in the corners of his eyes. Under the scorching sun, he exuded a cold, unapproachable air, a charming yet dangerous charm.

Many girls on the street stared at him. The boy, head bowed, perhaps unaware of his immense charm, a cloud of blue smoke emanating from the corners of his mouth.

She had never seen him smoke, but she had seen him polishing his lighter countless times.

A crackling sound, clusters of tiny flames, bright eyes blazing.

Su Qing felt an inexplicable irritation well up in her heart. Almost subconsciously, she reached for Jiang Sui's lips and forcibly yanked out the half-smoked cigarette, before he could even come to his senses.

"Jiang Sui, no smoking."

He saw the girl, wearing a white tracksuit and a neatly tied ponytail. She trotted to the trash can, extinguished his cigarette, and trotted back again.

"No smoking."

Her lower lip had a light bite mark. Her face was the size of a palm, her neck was slender, and because of her height, she had to tilt her head back. Worried that he hadn't heard clearly, she repeated it.

Her usually soft voice held a rare hint of firmness.

He was smoking, and he could actually see the wisps of smoke in her pupils.

"Have you finished buy thing?" He didn't answer her, but simply glanced at the bag she was carrying, a sneer on his lips.

The sun was scorching, and beads of sweat formed on the tip of Su Qing's nose.

"Let's go once you've finished buy thing. It's too hot."

He didn't grab the girl's wrist again. He simply took the item from her hand, lifted his long legs, and walked forward, his aloofness drifting away with the wind.

The two of them barely exchanged a word along the way.

Even at the fruit shop downstairs in the community, when the boy bought a watermelon, he asked if she wanted seedless or seeded.

He was carrying everything, leaving Su Qing with nothing in her hands, which made her feel a little awkward.

Until they reached doorstep, she hesitated again.

The sound of a lock being unlocked made Su Qing freeze at the door. The boy entered, then turned and stared at her.

"Are you coming in?"

Su Qing was accustomed to that mischievous, playful, rebellious, and gentle boy. The constant coldness in Jiang Sui's words and expressions made her feel a little uncomfortable.

Her fingertips curled at her side, but Su Qing still entered the door and closed it behind her, her heart pounding.

Even though there was nothing wrong, she couldn't help herself. This was her first time in someone else's home, a boy's, and a boy who was interested in her.

This made her feel restless.

The boy changed his slippers and placed his belongings on the shoe rack in the entrance. He then pulled out a pair of brand new pink slippers from the cabinet and bent down to hand them to Su Qing's feet.

This finally brought Su Qing back to her senses, a bit startled and a bit shy.

Jiang Sui bent down, kneeling, as if to change her shoes.

"I, I can do it myself."

Even though he hadn't touched her yet, Su Qing took a slight step back.

With a stuttering voice, the young man glanced up at her, but didn't say anything. He simply put his shoes down and walked back inside.

Su Qing stared at the pair of women's slippers and bit her lip.
