Chapter 187 - Chapter 187 Let's Wait And See

The leave was for a week, so Su Qing didn't have to worry about lying again.

However, Su Qing still wanted to keep Su Rao a secret, so she woke up early on Monday morning and planned to go to the library to study and return after school time.

This would also alleviate Su Rao's worries.

However, at lunch time in the library, just as Su Qing was about to take out her lunch box, her phone on the table kept vibrating.

The caller ID showed it was Li Ran?

Thinking of Li Ran's concern for her despite everyone's opposition, Su Qing quietly tiptoed out of the library with her backpack.

"Teacher Li."

Su Qing's voice was remarkably polite. Having previously learned about Su Qing's family situation, Li Ran wasn't one to easily sympathize with others. But after six months of interacting with Su Qing, she'd noticed a resilience in her that made it impossible not to stop at her. She was a promising young talent.

"Su Qing, come back to school. The principal has agreed to let you come back."

Li Ran received a call from the principal early this morning. He sounded a bit impatient and irritable, but he finally agreed to let Su Qing return to class.

After finish class, she quickly called Su Qing to let her know.

Su Qing was surprised to be able to return early. She pursed her lips and said, "Okay, thank you, Teacher Li."

Already outside, Su Qing sat on the sidewalk, taking her lunch box in hand, finishing her lunch.

She felt that things were a little complicated. Based on the school's attitude that day, she shouldn't have gone to class in such a short time. It was good enough that she could attend class. Su Qing didn't think too much about it. There was no microwave, and the food had gone cold. It was a bit cold outside. Su Qing sniffed, took a few bites, and went to school with her school bag on her back.

She only sent a message to Jiang Sui.

[I can attend class now.]

The boy didn't reply immediately. Su Qing checked the time. It should be class time. For a moment, she was so happy that she forgot about the time. She patted her head and hopped into the bus. The ride took about an hour. She definitely wouldn't be able to make it to her last class in the morning, but she'd still be able to make it to her afternoon class.

During the bumpy ride, as Su Qing got off the bus, the boy called. The time showed twelve o'clock, just as school was about to end. The realization that he'd call her right after class made Su Qing's eyelashes flutter, and she answered the phone.

"Are you back to school already?"

"I was in class just now. I didn't see my phone."

The boy explained impatiently, his breath panting slightly.

Su Qing pursed her lips and smiled. "I know."

"What happened?"

Jiang Sui was always worried about whether she'd get hurt, and because he wasn't by the girl's side, he couldn't pay much attention. He didn't want to miss anything about Su Qing.

The boy's first reaction was that he was missing something.

"Nothing. I just wanted to tell you that I can go to school now."

This was a good thing, and Su Qing's mood brightened considerably. After all, there was still a learning atmosphere in school. Although she was calm and collected, she still had some questions she needed to ask the teacher.

Jiang Sui wasn't surprised, but he still spoke with a cheerful tone.

"Yes, then my Nannan will have to get first place in the exam next time."

The word "Nannan" made Su Qing's ears tingle, and she felt a little embarrassed. Her ears blushed, and she wasn't so modest or reserved. "It's not about getting first place, it's about surpassing Jiang Sui."

She regarded him as a role model, a guiding light.

The boy's lips lifted slightly, though the praise wasn't easy, nor was he trying to give in. "Qing Qing, keep up the good work! Your brother Sui always gets perfect scores in math, physics, and chemistry."

Jiang Sui's voice wasn't boastful; Su Qing knew how good he was.

"Then let's focus on the final exam."

"Yes, let's wait and see."

Perhaps because of the girl's brightness, Jiang Sui's voice was tinged with laughter. The usually aloof man, with his lips raised at this moment, drew the attention of many people in school.

Qin Zhao, standing by, couldn't stand it any longer. He nudged Jiang Sui with his elbow, signaling him to tone it down. Didn't he see how those people were drooling?

"Jiang Sui, isn't your get out of class over yet? Then go eat. I'll go back to the classroom and take a nap."

Su Qing woke up early, and Jiang Sui knew about it. She also told him her whereabouts, as if Jiang Sui had proactively reported to her.

Jiang Sui responded, then listened to the phone hang up and pocketed it.

Qin Zhao stared at the boy's lips, the curve at the corner of his mouth. He looked nothing like the cold and aloof school idol.

"Hey, hey, hey, hold back! If you keep laughing like that, you're going to create so many rivals for your little cutie."

Qin Zhao glanced around, seeing many girls looking in his direction. He tutted his tongue twice, reminding Jiang Sui.

"She won't have any rivals." the young man restrained his expression.

He simply frowned at Qin Zhao. "Did you call her 'cutie'?"

Qin Zhao choked, wanting to say something.

"Be careful, or I'll tell Sister Qingsi."

"Then said you called another girl 'cutie'."

...

Qin Zhao's handsome features seemed to crack in an instant. "I just said it casually... What's the big deal..."

Jiang Sui paused and glanced at Qin Zhao again. "Then I'll tell Sister Qingsi that you just said it casually and called another girl cutie."

His domineering attitude made Qin Zhao immediately admit his mistake.

"Okay, Mr. Sui, I was wrong. I'm wrong, isn't that enough? Don't tell Sister Qingsi about me. She's been keeping me in the cold palace for days."

Jiang Sui ignored Qin Zhao and strode towards the restaurant. Qin Zhao ignored him, but he chased after him. He must not let him tell...

When Su Qing returned to the classroom, it was lunch time, so there weren't many people inside.

For some reason, tired from the bus ride, Su Qing fell asleep on the desk.

For the next few days...

Su Qing didn't know why the principal had suddenly agreed to let her attend school. When she asked Li Ran, she said she didn't know and told her to focus on her studies.

Su Qing didn't have time to dwell on this matter. She and Jiang Sui were both busy preparing for their final exams.

Jiang Sui continued to travel back and forth between Wuzhen and Jiangcheng on weekends, but aside from that shopping trip, they both went to the library.

She didn't want to tire the boy out like that, but Jiang Sui insisted, and Su Qing didn't refuse.
