The book says: "I love you dearly, so I call you my dearest." If I don't love you dearly, who will?
This is how Jiang Qin got his name.
Ever since he could remember, Jiang Qin felt that his father didn't love him as much as his mother. Of course, he didn't like his father either, as he was an old man, yet he still wanted to occupy his mother.
Therefore, Jiang Qin had a lot of mischief from a young age.
For example, he would cry incessantly, refuse to eat, and be unhappy.
He mastered all of this effortlessly. When Jiang Qin turned five, it was time for kindergarten.
"Baby, only smart children can go to kindergarten."
"Baby's so smart, we must reward him with kindergarten."
Ever since Su Qing learned from the mothers' group chat that children no longer liked going to school, so she started to act like Teacher Su and started and began to trick the child from a young age.
Jiang Qin, of course, didn't know any of this, so he appeared particularly brave on his first day of kindergarten.
At five, he was already sleeping alone and could dress himself.
"Qin Qin, you're going to kindergarten today. Are you afraid?"
Su Qing placed the fried eggs in Jiang Qin's small bowl, still vaguely worried. After having her child, she joined a lot of parenting groups. There were often those where parents took their children to kindergarten, only to see the children crying heartbreakingly. Su Qing felt heartbroken every time she saw them, and she couldn't bear to send Jiang Qin to kindergarten.
So she often talked about sending Jiang Qin to kindergarten, firstly to prepare herself mentally, and secondly to make Jiang Qin less afraid.
To be honest, Jiang Qin had no idea what kindergarten was, but as he ate his egg, he secretly glanced at Jiang Sui, determined not to let Jiang Sui look down on him.
Little Jiang Qin was already very attentive.
He still remembered how Jiang Sui often teased him about not being brave, so Jiang Qin quickly finished his egg and drank a glass of milk before looking at Su Qing with a determined look.
"Mommy, I'm not afraid. Qin Qin is a man, why would I afraid of this? Qin Qin loves kindergarten the most."
Listening to Jiang Qin's words, Jiang Sui, who had been sipping coffee, put down his cup.
"Little brat, do you even know what kindergarten is? You love it the most? Don't cry to your mom later."
Jiang Sui's words made Su Qing pinch him. Jiang Sui looked at Su Qing with a look of grievance. Su Qing glared at him and hurried to look at her son.
Little Jiang Qin clenched his hands into fists.
"Mom, I'm not afraid, and I won't cry. Dad's the coward!!!"
Jiang Sui had often teased Jiang Qin. Jiang Qin's personality, he didn't know who he took after, was very unwilling to give in.
Su Qing's eyes softened as she stroked Jiang Qin's little head. "Mom know, our Qin Qin is the most powerful."
"Mom, am I more powerful than Dad?"
The two father and son were always secretly competing with each other.
"You're just a little brat, how could you possibly know what's powerful?"
Su Qing frowned. Jiang Sui rarely spoke, but whenever he got home, he'd always joke with his son, both of them trying to be incredibly competitive.
Jiang Qin looked at Su Qing.
"Mom, you say, who's powerful?"
Su Qing found this question difficult to answer. She didn't want to upset her son, but she also wanted to favor Jiang Sui.
Jiang Sui also looked at Su Qing.
"I'm the powerful one. You two should finish your milk quickly. We'll take Qin Qin to kindergarten instead."
"I finished my drink, Mom. Dad didn't have any."
Jiang Sui didn't like milk, and Jiang Qin teased him about it, but Jiang Sui said he needed it because he was too short.
This greatly irritated Jiang Qin's pride, so the little guy drank two glasses of milk everyday: one in the morning and one before bed.
Perhaps because Jiang Sui was in a good mood, he didn't stimulate Jiang Qin today. As expected, after drinking the milk, Jiang Qin measured his height and had Su Qing record it.
As he left, his little face wrinkled as he looked at Su Qing.
"Mommy, why haven't I grown taller yet?"
As a child, he didn't have the strength to speak, but Jiang Qin's face was serious and composed.
"You are almost grown taller."
"Mom says that everyday, but I still haven't grown."
"Jiang Qin, don't blame others for your own lack of growth."
Jiang Sui said this, causing Jiang Qin to look at him.
"I'm not blaming Mom. Are you trying to sow discord, Dad?"
Su Qing was stunned. She hadn't expected her son to even know the term "sowing discord." She knew Qin Qin was intelligent and had developed intelligence early, but Su Qing wanted her child to have a happy childhood like any other child, without too much attention. So, she generally let Jiang Qin do what he wanted.
"Qin Qin, do you know what sowing discord means?"
"I know, Mom. Isn't that what Dad does? Dad says I blame you, but I don't. Dad wants you to have a better relationship with him than with me. Hmmm, that's sowing discord."
Although the words were a little inaccurate, they still made sense.
Su Qing looked at Jiang Qin.
"Dad isn't sowing discord. Dad loves you too."
Su Qing whispered the next sentence into Jiang Qin's ear. Jiang Qin's face tightened as he looked at Su Qing, then at Jiang Sui.
"Qing Qing, don't hide anything from me."
"This is a secret between Mom and me. Don't let Dad know."
Su Qing nodded, a rare gesture. As they exited the car, Jiang Qin kissed Su Qing on the side of her cheek and, still nervous, asked quietly.
"Is what Mom just said true?"
Jiang Qin's face was expressionless, but his eyes held a look of anticipation that Su Qing found adorable.
She hadn't said that intentionally; she felt her son would understand such divisive language.
Jiang Sui had rarely been close to Jiang Qin. Su Qing knew Jiang Sui simply didn't know how to express his affection, so she said that in front of Jiang Qin.
She didn't want Jiang Qin to grow up feeling that Jiang Sui didn't love him.
Seeing her son still so nervous about Jiang Sui, Su Qing found it both amusing and heartbreaking. She gave Jiang Qin a rare kiss on his cheek.
"Yes, Daddy loves Qin Qin the most. Of course, Mommy comes before Qin Qin."
Jiang Qin loosened his grip, his cheeks slightly reddened.
"Qin Qin loves Mommy first, too."
Watching the mother and son whispering to each other,
Jiang Sui, standing nearby, had already lost his composure.
"Jiang Qin, if you're scared about going to kindergarten, just tell me. Look, all the other kids have already gone, but you're still clinging to your mom."
Su Qing glared at Jiang Sui.
Jiang Qin looked at Jiang Sui. "I'm not scared. I'm leaving now. Mom, what we just said is our secret. Pinky promise."
