Chapter 249 - Chapter 249 Jiang Qin And Grandfather

Jiang Qin was quite satisfied with his life in kindergarten.

He just didn't get to see his mother often.

But his father said that children who constantly cling to their mothers never grow up. Jiang Qin needed to grow up, protect her, and not let her father bully her.

Also, the kindergarten kids were so childish, even using their fingers to calculate question like 1 + 1 = 2.

Except for Mianmian, of course, who was too young to do it.

After school, Jiang Qin heard the teacher say that his grandfather had come to see him.

But Jiang Qin had never met his grandfather before.

But he still followed the teacher to the school gate. A man who looked very similar to his father, but much older and uglier, appeared.

"Are you my grandfather?"

Little Jiang Qin acted like a grown-up; he remembered his father being like that.

Jiang Chenghua was getting older, his hair already graying. When Jiang Sui got married, although he wasn't invited, he still sat in a corner and watched.

Jiang Qin looked at his relatively handsome grandfather, who was half-crouching in front of him. Tears welled in his eyes, and he couldn't help but frown.

"Don't cry. Daddy said that only cowards cry, except for Mom, of course."

Jiang Qin finished his words and mentally added, "Except for Mianmian."

"Okay, okay, Grandfather won't cry."

As Jiang Chenghua watched the small, soft hand touch his face, his voice trembled slightly.

"Grandfather's crying because of happy."

Jiang Qin couldn't help but frown at this.

"Can you cry when you're happy?"

It was obvious he was a little incredulous. His living environment was so good, and Jiang Sui doted on Su Qing to no end. Therefore, Jiang Qin had never seen Su Qing shed a single tear at home.

Jiang Chenghua nodded.

"Your mom's out shopping. Grandfather's here to pick you up today. I'd like to take you out for some fun, okay?"

Jiang Chenghua looked at little Jiang Qin with inexpressible fondness, but he still wanted to ask for his permission.

Jiang Qin looked at the teacher, then at Jiang Chenghua.

"Did Mom agree?"

The kindergarten teacher beside him looked at Jiang Chenghua, then at Jiang Qin.

"Yes, Jiang Qin, you can call your mother to confirm."

"Mr. Jiang, please wait a moment. I'll call Qin Qin's mother again."

Kindergartens generally don't allow children to be picked up casually, but the teacher confirmed that it was Su Qing who called, and only then did she dare let Jiang Chenghua in.

No one had expected that Jiang Qin was the grandson of this famous entrepreneur.

The teacher didn't dare neglect him, because Jiang Chenghua was wealthy. When he arrived, his secretary brought a project agreement, stating that they wanted to expand the kindergarten and build a smaller playground.

The school, of course, treated Jiang Chenghua with the same deity.

Little Jiang Qin answered Su Qing's call, sneaking away from everyone.

"Mom, is he really my grandfather?"

Su Qing and Liu Ranran were shopping in the mall when she heard her son's voice. "Yes, Qin Qin, Grandfather's going to play with you for a while, and Mom will pick you up later, okay?"

Liu Ranran heard this, patted her belly, and looked at Su Qing with wide eyes.

"Did you ask Jiang Chenghua to pick up Qin Qin?"

Jiang Sui and Jiang Chenghua had always been in a stalemate, a common knowledge. He hadn't been invited to their wedding, and even after Su Qing gave birth, Jiang Chenghua, who had been trying to smooth things over, personally visited Jiang Sui and Su Qing's home with gifts, only to be ruthlessly kicked out by Jiang Sui.

Jiang Sui also hurled a number of harsh words at Jiang Chenghua.

Since then, Jiang Chenghua has never visited again, and their contact has seldom been high.

"Jiang Chenghua, he has cancer."

Liu Ranran's eyes widened at Su Qing's words, and for a moment she didn't know what to say. Su Qing had also been incredulous when she received the call from Jiang Chenghua's assistant, but upon hearing Jiang Chenghua's desire to see the child, she agreed, keeping this a secret from Jiang Sui.

She told Jiang Sui that she and Liu Ranran were going shopping, and it was a good idea to bring Jiang Qin along. It just so happened that tomorrow was the weekend, so Jiang Qin didn't need to get up early.

After receiving her mother's approval, Jiang Qin took small steps towards Jiang Chenghua, handed the phone back to the teacher, and looked at him.

"Grandfather, Mom agreed, but I only have two hours."

When a child becomes serious, they're incredibly adorable. Not only was Jiang Chenghua mesmerized, but so was the assistant standing nearby.

"Chairman, look how much the little young master looks like the young master."

Jiang Chenghua nodded. "Like, like, like!"

Excitedly, he repeated the word "like" several times. From his half-squatting position, Jiang Chenghua tried to hug Jiang Qin, but he dodged him.

"I can walk on my own. I'm a man. I don't need to be carried around."

Jiang Chenghua's palms fell empty, and a look of disappointment flashed across his eyes, but it didn't matter. After squatting on the ground for so long, his legs felt numb and he tried to stand up. Jiang Qin, who was standing beside him, supported his arm, and at that moment, Jiang Chenghua almost burst into tears.

"Little Young Master, what you said must have been provocative. Didn't Young Master tell you that children don't grow taller if they're always held?" The assistant beside him looked at Jiang Qin's adorable expression and couldn't help but think of the past.

Jiang Qin looked at Jiang Chenghua, "Is the young master this assistant is talking about my father?"

Jiang Qin's eyes sparkled, clearly eager to hear more about Jiang Sui.

"Yes, he's your father."

Jiang Chenghua nodded. He was already half buried in the soil, but looking at Jiang Qin's expression, he could tell he was very curious about Jiang Sui.

So, to please him, Jiang Chenghua recounted a lot of Jiang Sui's childhood memories along the way.

Like winning first place in a programming competition, how good he was at studying, and how handsome he was.

Jiang Qin listened with rapt interest, ultimately coming to a conclusion.

Dad was pretty good, though, and even with Mom, he didn't seem too bad either.

Jiang Qin, like a little adult, listened to Jiang Sui's thing for a while and then looked at Jiang Chenghua. "What about Daddy's mom? Grandfather, that is, Grandmother?"

If Daddy was so outstanding, Grandmother must be excellent too, but of course, Mom was the best.

Jiang Chenghua's wrinkled face froze for a moment before he looked at Jiang Qin.

"Grandmother, Grandmother passed away."

Not wanting to hide it from Jiang Qin, Jiang Chenghua's eyes were filled with sadness.

"Grandfather, don't be sad. Grandma passed away too. Mom is very sad."

Jiang Qin's small hand patted Jiang Chenghua's chest.

"Mom said that when sad, patting like this will feel better."

Jiang Chenghua felt a warm sensation in his heart.
