Now, her power was not a resource to be protected; it was a weapon to be deployed. Our mission had flipped: we were not running; we were bait on the perimeter. I watched the lights of the command villa fade behind us, the location where my twin lay sealed in her peace. Silas, the Shadow Alpha, remained there, replacing the bulk of the Wolf guard to oversee the communication hubs and guard the newly mated triumvirate.
