Rell Vorn, the physically compromised Beta, was a shuddering heap on the floor, restrained but alive. The danger was contained, the immediate threat to the Anchor neutralized by the Anchor himself. I secured Rell with specialized Beta-grade restraints, my movements quick and efficient despite my aching muscles. I was a strategist, not a street fighter, and my body was registering the full force of Rell's aggressive rejection. Niko stood guard, maintaining a psychic lock on Rell to prevent the Genesis Mage's command from reasserting control.

"He needs to be fully quarantined, Niko. Nowhere near Gavriel," I commanded, pulling Rell to his feet.
