Yet, when she finally rose from the bench, her movements were fluid and composed, devoid of the paralysing tension that had defined her for twenty years. The tears had washed away the strategist's rigid armor, leaving behind a fragile woman, yes, but anchored by a profound, if tragic, clarity.

"I am ready, Niko," she stated, her silver eyes steady. "Take me to His Majesty Alaric. I understand the political necessity of my elimination, and I will accept the terms of my permanent containment."
