Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Do you really think that she, the Ancient One, would not undergo surgery? [BONUS]

Dormammu had no idea about the mysterious energy he had unknowingly handed over. Alaric had used it to create his own version of dark dimensions.

Not only that, the energy Dormammu had given was secretly stolen and reshaped.

Had he known what had truly happened, he might have preferred to remain trapped forever in an endless time loop with Alaric, rather than give him the chance to grow and strengthen to the point where he could replace him.

Because that was exactly what was happening now. Just like his small universe, Alaric's Eternal Night World had the ability of infinite expansion.

Moreover, that mysterious energy itself treated the Eternal Night World as a branch of the Dark Dimension. It continuously supplied Alaric with immense power.

The clearest proof was the new power he felt within himself from the moment he completed the construction of this world.

Just like Dormammu, he could transform energy into invisibility, change the size and shape of his body at will, control the elements, use telepathy, teleport between dimensions, distort reality, and create his own dimensions.

Aside from being invisible and changing size and form, the other abilities were powers Alaric had gained long ago.

He also felt his lifespan extend. He had not reached Dormammu's kind of eternity, beyond time and death, but thousands of years of existence now did not seem like any problem.

All in all, Alaric had truly become a sort of god of darkness. His strength was already similar to Dormammu's at the time when he first began ruling the Dark Dimension.

And as time passed, he was certain that one day he would surpass him, and even completely replace him.

"How do I want to build this world?"

Standing in the endlessness of his Eternal Night World, Alaric pondered the question of shaping.

"Everything is woven from darkness. The sun does not belong here… but without it, it is too desolate."

Then the idea struck him.

"That's right. Just follow the model of the Dark Dimension."

He entered the Dark Dimension itself and observed its sky. There was no sun there, but the heavens were adorned with stars that shone with red and purple light, creating an eerie yet steady glow.

That was the perfect model.

He returned and began rearranging the Eternal Night World. This time he did not repeat the mistake of creating a miniature solar system. Instead, he set the Earth as the center. Around it he placed red, purple, and blue planets that served as sources of light, illuminating the endless twilight.

Still, this was not a real universe, but a dimensional plane. The rules of logic and nature did not need to be the same. If here darkness could shine, then that was the natural order.

In the future, Alaric could draw in dark creatures from other realms and settle them here, as a kind of originators.

Or, when the time came, he could create his own form of life and shape it from the very beginning according to his own rules.

But that did not need to happen immediately. Everything had its time, and the Eternal Night World had only just begun its growth.

"Done! Time to get out!"

Alaric clapped his hands and looked at his masterpiece, deeply satisfied.

He opened a portal.

However, the resistance was unimaginable.

"???"

"What is this situation? Why won't it open!?"

"Isn't the formula correct?" muttered Alaric, trying again to open the dimensional passage.

But this time, he only managed to briefly open a small crack before a force compelled him to shut it.

"What…?"

"Damn it! Am I trapped here!?"

Trapped, that was clear.

...

Meanwhile, in Kamar-Taj.

Without any warning, that day the entire complex suddenly sounded the alarm.

The magical protective array, which had long been calm, began to flash, activating its defensive stance.

On the square there was an uproar as a large number of sorcerers gathered.

Even the Ancient One stood at the front, with the Eye of Agamotto in her hands, her face as serious as stone.

"All apprentice students, follow Master Camidal to the temple!"

"All archmages, battle positions!"

Wong shouted, ordering the confused and distressed young sorcerers to follow Camidal to safety.

Mordo, on the other hand, gathered the older and more experienced sorcerers who had studied for years, preparing them for battle.

"Sorcerer Supreme, what should we do now?"

After issuing the orders, Wong approached the Ancient One.

Beside her stood white-bearded elders such as Mage Hamir and Mage Emir, all with expressions of deep concern.

"There is no need for us to act. Let us wait for the enemy to appear," answered the Ancient One, her voice calm but firm.

"And what about Alaric?" asked Wong.

"He is not in his room. I looked for him when the alarm started," said the Ancient One.

Wong for a moment glanced at the Eye of Agamotto in her hands. Fortunately, this time Alaric had not taken it with him. Otherwise, fighting the current threat would be far more difficult.

"Where has he disappeared again?" The Ancient One frowned.

But there was no time to deal with his inexplicable absence.

Most likely, Alaric was busy creating his own dimension and residing in his small universe.

Now, however, the current threat had the advantage.

Kamar-Taj, which for decades had not been attacked by demonic forces, was suddenly facing an invasion from other dimensions!

The last time something like this had happened, the Ancient One had just become the Sorcerer Supreme.

At that time, through her skill she had earned the title of Supreme, and since then not a single demon nor dimensional lord had dared to set foot on Earth without permission.

That was why it was unclear what was happening now. Why would the demons risk certain destruction by attacking Kamar-Taj?
