Chapter 82 - Chapter 82. Hoggoth: And You Should Talk Too!

Hoggoth was completely confused. He couldn't believe that Oshtur and Agamotto had so easily given such an important promise.

Spiritual Realm of the Vishanti

Hoggoth: Do you know what you've just done? Would you really give an unlimited promise to this little sorcerer?

Oshtur: I want to see what kind of method he's bragging about.

Agamotto: I'm curious.

Hoggoth: …

Hearing their words, Hoggoth was speechless. Is mere curiosity really worth giving such an incomparably precious promise?

What if he betrays us one day? What if he turns against us?

We are the Vishanti.

The Divine Trinity. We shouldn't be making such impulsive moves.

Oshtur: You yourself saw how special Alaric is. His existence is completely unique. He will become someone on our level. Isn't it wise to win him over while we still can?

Agamotto: I agree.

Hoggoth: … As you wish.

---

"So… you really are the Trinity Vishanti…"

Alaric was genuinely pleased when he heard the promise from Oshtur and Agamotto. Two out of three had given him their trust.

But that wasn't enough.

Those were just their personal promises. It wasn't a collective promise from the Vishanti.

"Now you're going too far!" Hoggoth roared.

Isn't it enough that Oshtur and Agamotto gave you their word?

Even though there are three of them, each of them individually can represent the Vishanti.

Do you really think we'll harm you?

I am Hoggoth! Your paranoia insults my honor!

"Better to make things clear right away. Maybe I'll look like the bad guy now… but in the future, there won't be any misunderstandings."

Alaric was direct.

If everything is agreed upon openly and without hiding, and the Vishanti agree, they will never break their word.

When they give respect, they'll get it back.

Oshtur: Hoggoth, the promise.

Hoggoth: …Understood.

In the silence that followed, the three Vishanti aligned.

In the Supreme Dimension world, a solemn voice echoed:

"We, the Vishanti, promise: regardless of the past, present, or future, we will not attack you or harm your life."

"Thank you! Thank you!" Alaric was sincerely overjoyed.

At that moment, he felt lighter than ever.

Finally, the freedom he had sought was sealed by divine word.

"So, what's this method you spoke of?" Oshtur asked.

"I can create an energy channel with you… and directly draw your power."

"That's it?" Oshtur raised an eyebrow.

Isn't that exactly what they already do?

They establish a connection, a channel, and send their power to mages like Alaric. What's new about that?

But very quickly… they all realized the difference.

This channel… they couldn't close.

The connection didn't go through them.

"What did you do?!" Hoggoth shouted.

"I just built an energy channel with you," Alaric replied innocently.

He hadn't even started drawing their power and they were already panicking.

"Why can't we close the passage?!"

"That's why I asked you, do you want to help me for free."

"You… you're trying to bypass the cost of magic?" Oshtur said in shock.

"Exactly."

"How did you do that? Is there magic in this universe we don't know about?!"

"It's called the Source of Magical Power. It's a spell I developed myself. It allows me to connect with any magical entity I know and directly draw their power, without mutual control."

Alaric thought about it and decided to explain everything.

"So you could've taken our power at any time, but didn't... Why?"

Oshtur understood how magic worked, but she didn't understand why Alaric hadn't already used it.

"Well… because I can't beat you, that's why." Alaric coughed, slightly embarrassed.

He could freely use Dormammu's power, because Dormammu couldn't physically set foot on Earth. No direct influence.

But the Vishanti? They can come whenever they want.

If one day the Vishanti discovered that Alaric was stealing their power, they'd come to his doorstep. Then what? Hide in other dimensions like a fugitive?

Sounds like a scenario where it's only a matter of time before they catch him.

That would be a death sentence. Or worse, eternal punishment.

"Smart." Agamotto said shortly, for the first time speaking with a tone of recognition.

Alaric didn't know if it was a compliment or a veiled threat.

"Alright, let's begin." Oshtur nodded and invited him to proceed.

"So that's why you asked us to promise… you planned it all, didn't you!"

Hoggoth was indignant. He felt like he'd been tricked and fooled.

"I said I wanted to leave. You're the ones who held me back."

Alaric just shrugged.

Hoggoth: So it's my fault now!?

But despite everything, the magical channel was open.

In the next moment, the immense white magical energy of the Vishanti passed through Alaric.

His body was bathed in golden light. The same light emitted by the Supreme Dimension itself.

"I'll stop whenever you tell me to, alright?"

Alaric didn't want to provoke.

He didn't come to steal, he came to create.

"What do you plan to do with that power?" Oshtur asked.

"Can't you already guess? I'll use your energy to establish my own magical source."

"Another spell you created yourself?"

"Yes. I base it on your existence to obtain pure, stable white magic."

As he spoke, Alaric once again began shaping the God of White Magic in his personal pocket universe.

This time he wasn't doing it within the Eternal Night World, because that space wasn't suitable. The contamination was too great, even for him.

Therefore, he had to first gather enough pure energy, form a stable shape, and only then integrate.

But when he felt the energy accumulating and the Vishanti said nothing, Alaric got a new idea.

Why not take this opportunity to create a completely new dimension?

A dimension devoted to white magic the Polar Day World.

One wave of the hand was enough to begin everything.

At that moment, Hoggoth noticed the sudden acceleration of energy flow and couldn't stay silent.

"Stop!"

"Stop now! You almost…!"

"Hey! Why am I the only one talking here!?"

Hoggoth looked around, shocked that Oshtur and Agamotto still remained silent.

Hoggoth: I'm tired. Forget it. Let it be. I don't like this anymore.
