Chapter 125 - Chapter 125. Thor: Uncle is right!!

Fury did not choose to personally go to New Mexico; he had to stay at S.H.I.E.L.D. in case other incidents occurred.

Especially since they had recently found the crash site of an American fighter jet in the Arctic Ocean ice and were conducting excavations.

Maybe this time they could find the remains of Steve who had fallen.

Only, Fury never even dreamed that what they would find was not just remains, but a living Captain America in his prime!

Fury watched as Tony flew off into the night sky in his suit and turned to leave.

...

New Mexico.

Coulson returned to the room where Thor was temporarily detained.

He didn't know why, but Coulson had a feeling that Thor… was very sad, sorrowful?

However, that wasn't important.

"We've contacted your uncle, he's on his way here."

"Uncle… It doesn't matter anymore." Thor lowered his head, his eyes were red.

At this moment, Thor already felt it didn't matter whether he found Alaric.

Because Loki had just come to tell him that his father, Odin, had died because of his actions.

He had decided to banish him forever, so he could never return to Asgard.

He could no longer lift Mjolnir!

In the future, he could only remain on Earth and be a completely ordinary man.

So, whether Alaric came or not, at this moment, it didn't matter to Thor.

He decided to follow his father Odin's last command and stay on Earth.

When Coulson saw this scene, he was full of doubts.

Judging from the tone of that woman outside, Thor really wanted to find Alaric.

Did something else happen in the meantime?

Coulson shook his head and was already preparing to leave.

At that moment, other voices were heard in the room.

"Are you going to give up? Thor."

Alaric and Jane appeared here.

"Uncle!" Thor suddenly looked up and saw Alaric, and endless sorrow surged in his heart.

He had heard from Sif what she had heard from Frigga.

Alaric was either a god who had originally been banished to Earth, or a god who, after reincarnation, had not yet regained his memories.

But in any case, Thor believed that Alaric, like Odin, was a long-standing ancient god of exceptional power and had a close, brotherly relationship with Odin!

That was Thor's true elder!

Also Thor's second-closest person after Asgard!

So, although he no longer cared whether Alaric would show up, once he actually saw Alaric, he couldn't hold back his tears of sorrow!

"Mr. Alaric, you've finally arrived!" Coulson snapped out of it.

Judging by Thor's current expression, he truly was Alaric's eldest nephew.

Things from the magical side, S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't easily interfere, so it was best if Alaric came in person.

"Jane, go and explain Asgard to Coulson, so they can mentally prepare."

"Alright." Jane nodded.

"Then please… Lady Sorceress!" Coulson looked at Jane and greeted her politely.

Another mage?

Does this mean this group of mages is huge!?

"I'm not a sorceress, my name is Jane Foster, I'm an astronomer, Alaric's girlfriend~" Jane smiled.

"Astronomer!? Mr. Alaric's girlfriend?!" Coulson looked at Jane in shock.

You, a scientist, how did you end up with the mage Alaric?

And you're even boyfriend and girlfriend!?

Coulson felt like he had really learned a lot today, gathered a pile of information about Alaric!

Director Fury should be happy now!

"Come on, let's go outside and talk."

"Alright! Miss Foster, this way please!"

...

"You've disappointed me, Thor; it was the same last time, and again this time."

Alaric sat across from Thor, and a chair appeared out of nowhere.

"I…" Thor didn't know how to respond.

Last time, he lost to Alaric and had nightmares for nights, thinking he'd lost Mjolnir.

And this time, instead of a dream, the nightmare came true.

He had lost everything!

And Thor really didn't know what to say.

After the outcome of both times, Thor was very dispirited and helpless!

But Thor felt there was nothing he could do!

He couldn't beat Alaric, nor get the hammer back.

He had been banished, couldn't return to Asgard, and had lost the qualification to lift the hammer!

So what was he supposed to do?!

"Uncle, my father Odin… he's dead!"

"It's all because of me!"

"I should accept all this punishment and stay on Earth for the rest of my life!"

Thor lowered his head and said sadly.

"So, you gave up inheriting the throne of Asgard, and also gave up the desire to regain your own power as the God of Thunder, and Mjolnir as well?"

Thor fell silent.

"I don't know what to do."

"Do you know why Odin is called the Allfather, and why you disappointed him and were banished?"

Alaric suddenly asked.

"Because… Odin is the strongest?"

"Yes, because Odin is the strongest."

"Well…" Thor was confused, what are you trying to say?

"Odin conquered the Nine Realms by relying on his unparalleled power, but why didn't such a powerful Odin wipe out the Frost Giants?"

"Oh… for peace?" Thor remembered Odin's words and answered.

"Wrong."

"Out of tolerance for life?!"

"That's wrong too."

"Then why?" Thor looked at Alaric in confusion.

"Because he wants to show off!"

Thor: ???

Odin: ???

"Uncle… you…?" Thor was stunned, his thoughts spinning.

"At that time, Odin had the power to wipe out the frost giants, fire giants, dark elves, and others from the realms besides Asgard, but he didn't do it, instead, he stopped and began preaching peace."

"Why?" Thor asked in confusion.

If Odin had wiped them out, this wouldn't have happened!

The Frost Giant wouldn't have ruined his coronation ceremony, nor broken into the palace vault!

"Because if Odin had done that, who would talk about his feats? How would he become the Allfather, respected and feared by others?"

"So, letting them live means proving that he, Odin, is the strongest, the one and only Allfather in the Nine Realms! That's showing off!"

"So Thor, if you were Odin, and you finally unified the Nine Realms into nothingness, would you be happy?"

Alaric looked at Thor and asked seriously.

"Well… I probably wouldn't be happy, right?"

Thor imagined himself in that role and realized that Alaric was indeed right!

"But if that's the case, then why did the Frost Giants come to provoke Asgard?!"

"Because Odin has grown old, his body can no longer endure using great power, and you're too weak to intimidate the enemies in the other realms who are watching Asgard from the shadows."

"That's right!"

"That's why Odin stopped you; he just wants you to grow stronger first, until you become as powerful as Odin. Then who would dare provoke you? By then, whoever you want, you'll defeat! Tell me, isn't that so?"

"Uncle is right!"

Odin: I never thought about it that way!
