"Baby?" My dad blinked rapidly, his eyes gradually clearing as he rubbed his jaw. "You had to?"
I nodded and glanced meaningfully at Kathrine. "Something isn't right." Without hesitation, I grabbed the woman cuddled against my father and yanked her away, shoving her to the floor. "Get away from him." I felt Killian surge forward, my eyes flashing with otherworldly power.
Kathrine let out an ear-piercing screech as she hit the ground, but I'd already turned back to my father and Grant. Catching Nan's eye, I motioned her over with a nod. She approached smoothly, positioning herself behind me.
"Alpha Mikael, Beta Grant," Nan greeted them with a professional smile. "What exactly is happening here?"
Cecilia, our beta female, walked over with purposeful strides. "This she-wolf has been instigating the unranked wolves, manipulating them to prey on weaker pack members, Alpha," she explained, offering me a respectful smile.
