Ivy's POV
I held up my hands defensively. "Like I said, it could have been a combination of Jade's scent mixed with mine." I shrugged and turned toward the staircase, giving a casual wave. "I'm heading up to my room now, unless you need something else?" I glanced over my shoulder and waited, but my mother simply dismissed me with a wave.
Grateful for the escape, I grabbed my suitcases with Fiona following close behind. I stopped at the spare bedroom and pushed open the door. Fiona looked at me questioningly. "For me?"
"Yes, this is your space while you're staying here." I pointed across the room. "Bathroom's over there. Make yourself comfortable."
"Thank you," Fiona said, dropping her suitcase and fixing me with an expectant stare.
"What?" I gave her a puzzled look, but her gaze remained steady.
"Show me to your room," Fiona said, gesturing for me to continue down the hall. My confusion must have been evident.
"Why?" We stood there, locked in a silent standoff.
