Ivy's POV
"I know, but he needs to do his job. I'm not going to disappear if you let me go." I laughed, which triggered a coughing fit. I motioned for the doctor to come over while gently pushing my father back to his seat. "Dad, I need a little breathing room."
"Fine." He sat back with obvious reluctance as the doctor approached to examine me.
After a thorough check, the doctor smiled reassuringly. "Looks like your wolf handled most of the healing. You've made a complete recovery." He gave my hand a gentle pat. "You had everyone quite worried."
"Sorry about that," I replied, settling back against the pillows. I turned to my father with questions burning in my mind. "What happened out there?"
"You killed the last rogue wolf and collapsed," he said simply.
I gave him a look that clearly communicated I wanted the full story, which made him sigh deeply.
"We're still investigating. Grant's looking into the details."
