Chapter 22 - Wild Date Night.

Written by **EYRAM**

She sat right next to him, then asked

"Are you ready to tell me where we're going?"

"Could you not be more patient"

"I have been patient, we've been on this date for like the whole day, I have other things to do you know, and I'm sure you do too, so please"

"We can take a day off from all the chaos in our lives can we not?"

"Just tell me where we're going or clearly say you won't" Serena said seriously.

"I won't, because I don't have to, we're here" Serena gasped completely flabbergasted by the unlikely turn of events, the very place he asked her to meet him, and she declined, that hotel restaurant, they were there.

"Caspian, I've said it and I'll say it again I won't go here with you, let's just go back to the park" she remarked sternly

"Serena, I booked the place for the night, you don't want it to go to waste, do you?" he said calmly

"Actually, I won't let you get by with one trick twice, you can spend as much as you want it's your cash, I don't care about wasting it" she said, a bit angry

"Serena" he said trying to settle her down. Tension growing in the room

"Drive me home, now!" She ordered.

"Please just give it a chance"

"Don't make me give you a much clearer answer"

"Serena"

"You know what, I don't know why I agreed to this in the first place" she said.

Then she unlocked the car and placed a call to her dad, Caspian tried to convince her to stay

"Serena, okay maybe not today, another day, for now, just a kiss" then he leaned in for a kiss. She slapped him and asked

"Caspian! What are you doing"

"I rented two corporations, just today so we could go on a date and I don't even get a kiss, you used to sleep with your teachers for grades!" Serena slapped him once again her hair, eyes and skin luminous yellow, not holding back a thing. He began to wail clutching unto his cheek hard.

"If you know anything about me, first a kiss from me is worth more than all the money in the world, and second, I never, ever did a thing like you're accusing me of."

Then she stormed off, and midway, in a black Lamborghini, her father was there. Jack asked.

"Serena, why did you tell me to come here on such short notice, what is the emergency"

"Can we just not talk about it; I want to erase it from my memory forever" pain, in her voice

"Okay, now I'm worried, Serena, please tell me what it is, I know you're on the verge of tears,"

"Just take me home!" she shouted. Jack, knowing she was not in the best place did as he was told but was not going to let the matter rest.

Eventually the car stopped at the house, the shades of sunset donning the sky, she went inside, and unrobed herself then settled in the bath, and bawled her eyes out. In the other room, jack heard her and did not know what to do, the only person he could think of to help her -Seraphina- was somewhere in the woods, probably kidnapped by a werewolf.

Sometime afterwards, Serena made her way to the roof of the house, she had never been there since arriving to the house, but it gave one the perfect view of the moon, which happened to be full at that time, she settled down relaxed, thinking of alternative ways to raise funds for her project, and came to a conclusion she was just going to try her hands on something small.

Just then her phone began to buzz, she checked it out and saw, first messages from Caspian, talking about a lawsuit, which she did not really care about at that point, but what she saw next was what caught her attention, it was a message from Lance.

"Serena, I know you chose him, Caspian, I am breaking on the inside right now and I do not know why you're the one I'm texting this to"

"Lance, you should just go find some girl who actually likes you, like Seraphina, or Sophia though I'm not sure you seem pretty close, for me I'm pretty certain I don't want a man in my life"

"Why?" he replied almost instantly

"Can we just skip that part"

"Okay, so you're saying you and Caspian are not an item"

"I know what you're hinting at, but I honestly feel mixed emotions about that"

"Let me go at it anyway, I'm going to fight for your love, I'm willing to wait my entire life for you to love me back"

"Okay, you can't just meet a girl, start talking to her then ignore her, and then act like you like her again, then after she is kidnapped by your mom, come back and say those cheesy words to. Besides there's the whole thing with Seraphina"

"I know you're not ready now, but I'm not in a rush"

"I think I'm going to catch up on some sleep"

"Wait, how did it go with Jamien"

"Let's just say, I'm expecting more trouble"

"What happened"

"I'll much rather end the conversation here"

"I'll be dreaming about you"

She just did not know how to deal with this, reminiscing how she got excited about having a love life she wished she could go back to that time and whack some sense into her past self, and why was she even crying about Caspian? Why did she let that jerk get to her?

It was his loss, and right now all she would do is prove to him he was not worthy of being missed, some of the "perfect" guys are like that because they've tried it on many girls, so all she'd do for now was improve and learn.

Serena sat in her bed and invested time into writing up a full proof plan to make something helpful to society, out of discarded stuff, and after running up a lot of calculations and ejecting failed ideas she came up with inventing a Data storage unit using nano-technology, but instead of the flagship version for super computers, since she did not have high-end tools, she was settling for a low-end version for smartphones, it was an idea in progress but was pretty good.

When she realized it was almost midnight she wanted to go to bed, and that was when she heard a howl, it was a full moon, a howl, and off in the distance she could see the figure of a wolf, far larger than a typical one and thought of the wolf Seraphina ran off with.

She decided to chase it, she packed the armor, and took to her feet running far faster than she had ever in her life, focused on hearing the thoughts of that wolf, only to come across nothing. afterwards, not too long after she began to bridge the distance between herself and the wolf.

But the wolf was far faster than her and as soon as she entered his field of vision he took to his feet at speed even her eyes could not keep up with and that was when she heard a sound from behind her, and turned to see a beast, with purple skin all over, two horns a humanoid upper body and a snake like lower body.

It lunged at her barring out fangs and she saw a purple venom from its lips disintegrate the grass as it fell, it went for another strike which Serena avoided, barely again but as the fight progressed, she was forced to go on the defensive unable to land attacks, and if this went on for an overly long amount of time, she would get tired and ultimately lose.

Therefore, she thought of other things in her arsenal to use, telepathy, she managed to hear everything the snake like beast was thinking about and that gave her ample time to defend herself and attack. Afterwards, overwhelmed by the sudden change it froze for a moment and she landed a strike on its tail.

It began to bleed profusely and the battle was as good as over, but then after a while she noticed her feet began separating, and underneath the visage of a monster was a girl, she looked so young, with dark hair and pale skin but her eyes were closed, how could she not see through that, first this telepathy failed her in making good judgment of a guy now this.

She decided to ditch the wolf since now she would not be able to get to him even if she tried and instead did immediate first aid on the girl taking advantage of the greenery she found some herbs that were medicinal and used them to make a paste to cover the wound, then tore the hem of her hoodie and tightened it around the cut to stop the bleeding then decided to take the girl home knowing the hospital might not be ready for her to turn back into that snake,

but on her way, she tripped on a twig she could've sworn wasn't there a minute ago then saw a fire some distance away, looking closer she could see her twin, Seraphina, conjure fire from her bare hands, then she ran in the opposite direction filled with thoughts, but the flames were gaining on her, fast.
