Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 The Mystical Beast Appears

She picked up a dry branch and drew on the wet soil with flowing strokes, then drew a few dots.

She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them again. A strange crimson flashed before her eyes returned to black.

"So that's how it is. When a divine beast appears, all other beasts will be on guard. The beast tide will appear in about half an hour."

Suddenly, heavy or brisk footsteps were heard. Yun Zheng stood up and climbed up the dense and lush tree lightly on her toes.

She squatted down and looked down vigilantly.

As expected, a group of people came roaring in.

The leaders were old acquaintances, and one of them made her heart suffocate for a moment.

Yun Zheng knew that this was the remnant of the original owner's emotions.

The man had a handsome face and was a rare handsome man, but compared to Rong Shuo, he was really not good enough.

One was as good as the other.

 How could they be compared?

This man was the sixth prince of the Great Chu Kingdom, Chu Yunheng! The one who broke off her engagement.

"Royal brother, we've been circling here several times, but we just can't find the birthplace of the mythical beast." The beautiful, arrogant girl beside Chu Yunheng pouted impatiently.

Chu Yunheng rubbed her head and said gently, "Yunrou, be patient."

"I heard from Sister Su Rong that that useless Yun Zheng also came to the Flame Forest, but she's lost now." A hint of resentment flashed across Chu Yunrou's face, then quickly concealed it.

Chu Yunheng's brows knitted tightly at the mention of 'Yun Zheng'.

"Why are you mentioning that worthless Yun Zheng? Even if she's dead, it has nothing to do with this prince."

The handsome man next to Chu Yunheng waved his fan and said rather coquettishly, "Alas, that's not right, Your Highness. She's been obsessed with you for years. Even if she's worthless, she's still incredibly beautiful. How about taking her as a concubine?"

The handsome man said, turning back to the others with a teasing look, "Isn't that right, everyone?"

 "Yes, yes, haha..."

"Your Highness, even if she's worthless, she's still a beauty. Just take her."

The other dandies chimed in, seemingly enjoying the spectacle.

"Jiang Yichen, this blessing should be left to you," Chu Yunheng said with a sullen face.

The handsome man holding the folding fan, Jiang Yichen, smiled coquettishly, "What a shame, the beauty doesn't like me, Young Master. She's set her heart on you. It's not easy for me to steal her love, is it?"

"Jiang Yichen, shut up!" Chu Yunheng said in a deep voice.

Jiang Yichen smiled, touched his nose, and said nothing more.

 They started walking again.

Yun Zheng, who was squatting in the corner of the tree, had a slightly gloomy look in her eyes. It seemed that she would feel uncomfortable if she didn't do something "good" for Chu Yunheng and the others.

She looked up at the lush leaves and quickly picked dozens of them.

She jumped down lightly, glanced in their direction, and then quickly went around to the nearest path.

A quarter of an hour later, she arrived at a quiet place. After roughly calculating that they would pass by here, she began to set the trap.

After setting it, she left. After all, if they fell into the trap and found out that it was her, although she was not afraid of them, the beast tide was about to attack, and she didn't want to waste time arguing with them.

If she and Chu Yunheng and the others had only a small grudge, then Su Rong would be the one she would kill.

All sorts of torture and slaughter, thrown off a cliff...

Yun Zheng's eyes grew cold. "Su Rong, Su Rong, the original owner treated you so well, giving you all the best resources from the palace, and yet you want to kill her, and do it so cruelly!

Su Rong, your conscience has truly been eaten by a dog!

" More and more teams entered the Flame Forest. Yun Zheng alone encountered several groups, some from the Great Chu Kingdom, and some from other nations.

The Yunsong Continent is divided into the East Continent and the Central Spiritual Continent.

The Great Chu Kingdom is located in the East Continent, which is home to countless nations, while the Great Chu Kingdom is considered a small, mid-tier nation within the East Continent.

Nations are often not the most powerful. Above nations are the Holy Academy, the Alchemy Guild, the Weapon Refining Guild, and the Beast Taming Guild.

However, super-powerful nations can rival the likes of the Holy Academy.

The Holy Academy is a sacred place that all geniuses in the East Continent aspire to reach. It is an academy that has nurtured countless powerful individuals.

The Central Spiritual Continent, on the other hand, is more mysterious.

East Continent and Central Spirit Continent are separated by a vast ocean. Numerous sacred-level sea beasts inhabit this waters, making crossing difficult enough, not to mention the natural and man-made disasters that plague them.

Consequently, Central Spirit Continent and East Continent have little contact.

However, it's said that East Continent's territory is only a quarter of Central Spirit Continent's.

Yun Zheng swiftly followed her calculated direction and soon reached her destination, only to find several groups already there.

They were guarding a dark cave, waiting for an opportunity. Countless high-level spirit beasts, including several sacred beasts, lay prostrate around the cave.

The beasts glared fiercely at the humans, as if any movement would swarm them, pounce, and maul them.

 But no one moved,

 maintaining a strange equilibrium.

Yun Zheng spotted a familiar figure among the crowd, her eyes sharpening, a cold glint flashing.

She quickly hid behind a tree.

Her heart faltered. Su Rong was there! Wanting to contract a divine beast? Wishful thinking!

She tore off a piece of cloth stained with blood from her dress and tied it behind her head, covering most of her face and revealing only her clear and beautiful phoenix eyes.

Yun Zheng deliberately let out a whiff of air.

"Who? Come out!" a shrill shout echoed.

 "Bang!"

The tree, so thick it would take five men to hold their arms, suddenly snapped, revealing a woman in an oversized, ill-fitting black robe. Her long, black hair was tied into a high ponytail with a ribbon. A

white, blood-stained scarf covered her face. She stood with her hands behind her back, calm and composed.

"Who are you?" a middle-aged man with a kind face, his eyes occasionally glimmering with a sinister gleam, frowned.

Yun Zheng sneered, "Who am I? How dare you interfere?"

Her voice, indistinguishable between male and female, carried the imposing aura of a superior.

Yun Zheng twirled a tender green leaf and casually tossed it in the middle-aged man's direction.

The man was wary, but the leaf fluttered down his hand without a sound.

"How dare you, little brat, play tricks on me?" the middle-aged man raged, unknowingly crushing the leaf in his hand.

In that instant, a loud explosion echoed.

The middle-aged man's hand was blown off, but luckily he reacted quickly and used his spiritual power to protect himself, preventing it from being severed.

However, while it didn't break off, a layer of skin was torn off.

"Dad!" Seeing this, the delicate and beautiful woman's pupils shrank slightly, and she quickly supported his trembling body.

"You have such a cruel heart!" The woman suddenly looked up at Yun Zheng, "My dad just asked you a few questions, and you were so cruel!"
