Chapter 1 - Gotcha!

A little girl ran down the stairs with all her might, giggling naughtily as she ran to hide away from her sisters. "Sigh, where should I even hide" she muttered childishly. "Keisha!!" one of her sisters called. Realising they were getting close, she hid under the dining table, thinking she was safe as she waited for her sisters to look for her. "Gotcha!" Audrey said as she grabbed her."Hey, how did you find me here?" Keisha said as she giggled. " It is always easy to find you when you are always giggling around, just follow the sound and, boom, there you are! Hehe," said a voice from behind the two."Alice! I thought Audrey was the only one who caught me", she said in a somewhat sad voice." Okay, guys, I quit. I don't think I can handle this vigorous exercise anymore,...guys!!!" Anna's voice echoed in the hallway. "Guys!!.. I don't want to play this game anymore..ugh" Anna said in an irritated voice. " We are here!" cooed Audrey, "no need to die out of irritation there". " Ohh, why didn't you guys tell me you found her" Anna whined. "Oh, quit winning, you lazy bones, you just have bad eyesight and hearing to not see us down the hallway and not notice that Keishe was giggling through the whole thing", Alice said sharply. "Hey, that's no way to speak to your elder", Anna retorted. "We are just one minute apart, even Audrey, who is two minutes older than us, isn't going around telling the world", Alice said while rolling her eyes "Guys, there's no need to fight because of this" Audrey tried to quell the building tension. As they walked down the hallway, the maids gave them a slight bow as a sign of greeting. They walked till they reached a tall and imposing door that looked impressive due to the intricate drawings and patterns on the door. The servant announced their presence as the maids opened the door. Upon entering the lounge, they greeted their parents. "Good morning, Dad and Mum", they said in unison as they gave a deep bow. "Oh, come here, Shasha", their father said with a big smile, with his arms open for a hug. Keisha ran to hug him."Dad!" "A lady doesn't run, Keisha!" Her mum said harshly. " Oh, honey, leave her be for a while", their father said in a doting voice. " Keisha, it's time for your nap", Audrey gently said." Oohh, but I don't want to" " But you have to, Keisha", Alice, who was standing behind Keisha, commented." Joy! Can you please come and take Keisha to her bedroom for her afternoon nap" Their mum called for Keisha's nanny." Yes ma'am" the nanny came in. " Miss please this way". " Ohhh, but I really don't want to go", Keisha whined. " Keisha!" Their mum shouted sternly, "Go to your room right now" " Okay, fine" Keisha's shoulders drooped. "Goodbye, Dad", she says, giving her dad a kiss. " Goodbye , baby girl". Joy leaves the room with Keisha. Immediately after they leave, the atmosphere becomes somber. "How was she today" their mom asks.*Not good"Audrey replies " huh, but she wasn't wheezing or out of breath when we caught her during the game?" Alice questions. " Yeah, that's what I thought too, but when I held her, I could feel her shivering slightly and her hands were blue, I'm not sure she noticed it though or else she would have freaked out". " Do you see her future,Audrey?" Their dad who haa been quiet during their conversation spoke up. " No, I still can't,..I have been trying for a while, to see if we can see her alive in the future, but I all I see is darkness...but I can see her present though"Audrey replies
