Chapter 17 - Visiting the Young Justice League.

As I opened my eyes, we had entered a pretty big room, and Nightwing nodded towards me. "This way, Chad." He said as I followed him. When we entered the living area, I ran into three girls who go by Courtney White, more commonly known as Stargirl, and she was walking with Cassie Sandsmark, known as Wonder Girl. The final one is someone I thought was dead, but it looks like she is alive: Tula, known as Aquagirl. Man, did I hit the jackpot with coming here, I thought to myself.

"Morning, girls, we have a new member joining us. His hero name is Sub-Zero." Nightwing said as I smiled and held out my hand. "You can call me Chad, it's too strange for me to use my hero name with friends," I said, making Wonder Girl walk over and shake my hand as a test of power. Of course, I gave way, as I only have 30 stat points in strength. But she nodded to it.

"I am Wonder Girl, but you can call me Cassie. This is Stargirl and Aquagirl." She said, introducing the other two as Aquagirl walked forward and spoke. "You can call me Tula." I nodded and smiled. Stargirl didn't give me her real name, but that is fine.

"What can he do, Nightwing?" Cassie said with eyes ready for a fight, making me smile. "He has three abilities we can tell, one being a powerful healing ability, maybe S-Rank, along with an Upper A Rank Ice power, and the ability to mimic the looks and voice of someone. We haven't given his last one a ranking yet." Nightwing finished saying.

"I do have one more, but I haven't tried it out that much as it used to drain me fast of power," I said coming clean with my Wood Release, as I will be using it sooner or later, and now is the time to do it before we go on missions and I risk hurting someone. Plus, it will look better with the team if I open up to them.

Everything is for the harem. I have never been a power-seeking kind of guy. But women, that was part of my sins in my last life, especially when I was younger. Looks like I never really change.

This news shocked Nightwing. "What kind of power is it?" He asked as I scratched the back of my head and smiled. "It would be better to show you, but we would need a big enough area, making a football field length would do," I said, making him nod as he guided me, and the girls wanted to see this new power of mine.

I had been memorizing the hand signs for his moves well, at least the ones I had known about, and planned to give them a flashy experience, so I am going with Deep Forest Emergence. We entered a room twice the size of a football field, which made me sigh. I thought it should be good enough. If it gets damaged, Batman will pay for it.

"Can y'all leave the area? This power does a lot of wide range damage, and I don't want to hurt y'all." I said, making them nod, and walked into a room with a window. As I walked about 25 meters from the window, I turned my back on them and looked at the other end, which was about two hundred meters, give or take ten meters.

"Do you have cameras on the ceiling?" I yelled out, making Nightwing come over the intercom. "Yes, don't worry, we will record this." He said, thinking I wanted him to record it, but it was more for me to show off for the three girls.

"Okay, here I go," I said, doing the hand signs as I finished pushing my hands out with my fingers pointing out in claws. "DEEP FOREST EMERGENCE!" I yelled out as the ground around me burst forth with tree-like roots as they rushed out, breaking the ground in front of me at a fast pace, crushing into the wall as I stopped the move.

It was silent as I began to pull back the wood style until it started to shrink and go away. As I saw the damage to the training area, I rubbed the back of my head and sighed. It wasn't too bad, but it's going to cost a million, that's for sure, I thought. Hearing the door open, they walked out, shocked and impressed.

I started to fake being tired, as that will give me an excuse for why I didn't show it off yet, plus everyone has their secrets, and telling them about it will be a sign of trust. "That was amazing, Chad!" Stargirl said, running over and hugging my arm.

"Thank you, Stargirl. But I am not used to using it, plus as you can see, it's more of a wide range attack style for now until I learn how to control it better." I said, making her smile. "It's Courtney, you can call me by my name." She said.

I nodded to her as Nightwing was deep in thought. "Chad, this power is clearly S-Rank or close to it. More so than the Ice one, are you sure you want to join the Young Justice League and not the main one?" He asked me.

"I am still sixteen and would much rather learn with people my age, plus I want to form bonds with people I can connect with. Do you think I would be able to do that with the Justice League? For now, I want to be a part of this team. When I get older, then I will think about moving up. And if they really need me, they know where to find me." I said, making the girls smile and Nightwing nod in approval.

Sorry, Garth. But I am going to steal your girl, it's just how the world works, my man. As I looked at Tula, I planned to make her the first one I would visit in her dreams. "Well, girls, please show him around and introduce him to any members here today," Nightwing said before leaving.

Odds are, he is going to relay my new power to the League, but that's fine. Now that I show my willingness to open up to them, they won't be as guarded against me. But I will never tell them about my dreamworld ability, I will die before I do that.

"Come with us," Cassie said, pulling my arm. I chuckled as she dragged me along as they showed me everything, when we ran into a new group of people, as we were talking about the private beach on this island.

It was Superboy, Garth, Robin(Tim Drake), and finally Arrowette, whose real name is Cissie King-Jones. "Who's the new guy?" Robin asked, tilting his head.

This timeline was all kinds of strange. Maybe this was a timeline different from all the ones from the comics. Well, no point in trying to figure something out that doesn't make any sense to me. "Names Sub-Zero, but my friends call me Chad," I said, holding out my hand.

Robin looked at me for a few seconds before shaking it. "Names Robin." He said, smiling. "So what can you do?" He asked only for the three girls to speak up before me and explain everything to them as my mind wandered back to Gotham.
