Chapter 71 - 71

Bang bang bang!

Every step the Destroyer took was like a hammer hitting Volstagg's heart.

The Destroyer stood in front of Volstagg, looking down at him.

A hole appeared on the Destroyer's face again, and the scorching flames in his chest were almost about to burn out. It seemed that Volstagg was about to die under the Destroyer's attack.

At this moment, Sif fell from the sky, jumped higher than the Destroyer, and stabbed down with the spear in her hand, piercing the Destroyer's throat on the spot.

The flames on the Destroyer's face and chest dissipated, and he knelt on the ground, silent.

"Thor, is this Asgard's ultimate weapon?" Tony Stark was stunned. "So easy to solve?"

Phil Coulson and Clint Barton also looked at each other in bewilderment. After all, Thor had described the Destroyer as so powerful before, and everyone thought it was very powerful. But in the end, it was killed just like that?

"The Destroyer won't fail so easily." Thor shook his head. "Sif is probably in danger."

Thor's words turned out to be true. The Destroyer, who had just been "extinguished" not long ago, had flames burning on his face again.

At the same time, its limbs and face twisted and turned, and in an instant its chest and back were turned over.

Originally, Sif was standing on the back of The Destroyer, with the back of The Destroyer's head facing Sif, but now Sif is standing on The Destroyer's chest, with The Destroyer's face facing Sif.

call out!

The next moment, a beam of energy shot out from the face.

Fortunately, Sif was very capable and jumped to the side in advance, so she was not injured.

The Destroyer stood up little by little and forcibly pulled his throat out of the spear that Sif had nailed to the ground.

"Retreat! Retreat quickly!" Sif, who escaped the attack, felt something was wrong and quickly told everyone to run away.

But the Destroyer seemed to be enraged by Sif's spear and increased his output. This time Sif was no match for him and was killed, leaving her armor and weapons behind and fleeing in panic.

The three warriors of the Immortal Palace were not in a much better situation. They were in a very miserable state and hid here and there, unable to fight back.

Thor had a clear understanding of his own strength at the beginning, so he did not become a burden, but chose to evacuate the people. But now, seeing that all his good friends are facing danger, how can Thor still hide in the rear with peace of mind?

"Sif, you've done your best." Thor ran to Sif who was hiding behind a car and said.

"No, I will die here like a warrior." Sif was fearless. "What happened today will be passed down as a legend."

"Only if you survive can you tell others in person what happened today." Thor said seriously, "Let's go!"

Sif gritted her teeth and followed Thor's advice. She didn't say anything about dying in battle and chose to escape.

"You must go back to Asgard and stop Loki!" Thor ran to the three Asgardian warriors who were beaten badly and said to them.

"What are you going to do then?" Fandral asked as he supported Volstagg.

"Don't worry, my friends, I have a plan." Thor smiled confidently.

"Thor, this must be a very bad plan." Tony Stark felt that something was wrong when he saw Thor's confident look.

"In fact, I never make plans." Thor shrugged. "I solve every problem with one blow of the hammer."

"But you don't have a hammer now."

"Yeah, so I also want to know what my plan is." Thor stared at the video.

In the picture, Sif and the three warriors as well as Jane Foster, Eric Silverger and others have gathered together and started to evacuate to a distance.

And Thor walked towards the Destroyer step by step.

Not only did he walk away, he also threw away the shield in his hand.

Walk over with bare hands.

"Wait a minute!" Jane Foster heard the sound of the shield falling to the ground, turned around and saw Thor's suicidal behavior, so she stopped and was unwilling to leave.

The others also stopped and looked at Thor.

"What is he going to do?" asked Jane Foster.

Under the gaze of everyone, Thor walked step by step to the Destroyer.

"Brother, whatever I did to lead you astray, whatever I did to make you do what you did, I'm sorry," Thor said as they walked. "But these people are innocent, and you won't gain anything by killing them."

The camera cuts to Asgard and to Loki, who sits there in armor, listening quietly to Thor's words.

Thor walked up to the Destroyer, raised his head, and looked into his eyes. He said, "Take my life and end this."

The flames on the Destroyer's face died down, and his face took shape and turned around.

Thor thought he had convinced Loki, and a smile began to appear on the corners of his mouth.

"It seems that my plan is not bad!" Thor in the answering space also smiled.

However, the next moment, the Destroyer turned around and punched Thor, sending him flying dozens of meters before falling to the ground, and he rolled over several times.

"No!" Jane Foster roared and rushed towards Thor without caring about the danger.

Thor was lying on the ground with wounds all over his body and blood on his face, but he had an expression of relief.

"It's over." Thor said to Jane Foster who ran to his side.

"No, it's not over yet." Jane Foster shook her head violently.

"I mean, you're okay." Thor looked at Jane Foster.

"We're all fine," Jane Foster said.

"It's over." Thor closed his eyes.

"Thor, is this your plan?" Tony Stark couldn't help but complain when he saw this scene, "Sacrifice your own life? This is not a plan at all, this is utterly terrible!"

"Who was that guy carrying the nuclear bomb during the Battle of New York?" Thor asked, "And now you're saying other people's sacrifices are terrible?"

"Thor, our situations are completely different, okay? If I can nuke the aliens, the people on Earth will be safe. But if you sacrifice yourself, how do you know Loki will let those people go?" Tony Stark said, "What if you die and he goes on a killing spree against everyone else? Wouldn't your death be in vain?"

"Stark, I'm afraid you are wrong this time," said Phil Coulson.

"Do you believe that Loki is a man who keeps his promises?" Tony Stark asked.

"No, I mean, Thor's self-sacrifice may be his chance to get the hammer!"

As if to confirm Phil Coulson's words, the hammer that no one in the base could lift began to move. Before, it couldn't be pulled even by a car, and now no one touched it at all, but it rose into the sky by itself!
