Counting the Curios THEY had acquired and glancing at the three remaining cans, Aha couldn't help but sigh in genuine admiration.
"Sigh. What a shame. THEY'LL have to wait another week next time."
Since this little shop opened, perhaps THEY were the one most dissatisfied with this limited-quantity strategy—even more so than the Xianzhou and corporate higher-ups.
With a touch of wistfulness, THEY muttered, "If only THEY could run this place every day without stopping."
Saying that, however, didn't slow THEIR hands in the slightest.
THEIR palms brushed across the lids of the three cans in sequence, leaving trails of rainbow-colored energy, then made a single upward lifting gesture. The lids instantly hovered in midair.
Thump, thump. Two beams of green light shot upward.
Aha frowned.
Looks like there wouldn't be much fun left today.
At most, maybe two more bottles of that bean drink.
THEY yawned lazily, having already decided who to find next.
Thump.
The last beam of light erupted, and Aha's half-closed eyes snapped wide open.
Because THEY had just seen gold—dazzling, sunlike gold!
"This really brings endless surprises! Hahaha."
Aha's normally calm mind was reinvigorated in that instant.
The purple magic wand Curio had already provided considerable fun, but this golden Curio—how exciting could it be?
The mere thought sent a thrill through THEM.
THEY didn't close THEIR eyes to shield themselves, but kept THEM wide open, risking momentary blindness just to see the Curio's true form at once.
Yet even with THEIR vision, THEY couldn't fully block the can's glare, and could only make out a vague impression—this Curio seemed… alive?
As the light faded, Aha blinked several times, taking a moment before THEY could fully see again.
By now, THEY already held two bottles of drink.
Judging by their shapes alone, it was unmistakably the same bean drink as before.
One was black, the other yellow—clearly the two green Curios.
And in addition, two… small animals had appeared in front of THEM.
A dark blue cat, clutching a brown mouse in its snowy white paws.
THEY stared blankly at the surroundings, then at each other, blinking in confusion.
These must be the golden Curios.
Aha probed their abilities to the fullest and found nothing particularly powerful, not even Path energy.
But that didn't mean there was no difference.
Most notably, they were both standing upright on the floor!
This… came out of a circus?
Aha had no idea how these two animals could qualify as golden Curios, so THEY looked at Sylvester.
"Shopkeeper. You're not telling me that the golden light just now… was the trash can playing with me, and this is actually a green can too, right?"
"Of course not!"
Sylvester straightened in his seat, his gaze full of interest as he looked at the cat and mouse.
So, the new type of product from the can upgrade had appeared here—and they could even summon these two?
Not bad—they fit Aha's needs perfectly. Living with them would bring endless fun every day.
Just… a little bit cramped for space.
Sylvester recounted their origin: "The cat is named Tom, and the mouse is Jerry."
"They are exceptionally talented and full of energy. Skilled in music, each could lead a symphony orchestra; skilled in pharmacology, able to concoct all sorts of strange elixirs; skilled in physics, having created many astounding inventions."
"Their vitality is unbelievable. Even if dismembered or pierced with swords, they instantly restore themselves."
"Perhaps even harder to kill than the Aeon of Abundance."
Huohuo and Qingque almost shouted in unison: "Even stronger than Yaoshi?!"
What kind of monsters were these?
They both stared at the cat-and-mouse duo, who remained flustered under the scrutiny.
Though outwardly harmless, neither dared to drop their guard.
After all, logic suggested that life force and combat ability should be roughly balanced.
Qingque's heart conjured a terrifying thought: Could they be the newest type of Abundance denizens?
If so, the Xianzhou Alliance would be in trouble.
"Impossible, right?" Huohuo's expression darkened.
She gripped the [Human Emperor Banner] tightly, watching the cat and mouse as if facing a formidable enemy.
Would the flag even be able to subdue them?
"Oh? This is actually pretty interesting."
Aha wasn't scared at all.
Creatures capable of rivaling an Aeon in some aspect? That was exciting, not frightening.
Especially since Sylvester explicitly said these two were just 'surpassing'!
Now that was going to be fun!
Seeing Qingque and Huohuo's tense postures, Sylvester spoke to calm them.
"Relax. They're just a harmless house cat and a friendly mouse. Nothing to do with Abundance."
"Phew~ That's a relief." Huohuo exhaled deeply, and Qingque relaxed slightly as well.
If her earlier guess were correct, she'd probably start using the Arbiter-General for regular combat drills.
But where would she find enough people to operate the Cloudpeer Telescope?
Fortunately, it was just a false alarm.
Seeing her hands still slightly trembling, Sylvester smiled faintly. "Already scared at this point?"
"In addition, they have various abilities. The most impressive is their extraordinary learning capacity—they can master almost anything in one try."
"In other words, their future potential depends entirely on how much knowledge and power you impart. No need to worry about whether they can digest it."
Hearing this, Aha instantly became thrilled.
"Whoa! They can digest and understand anything?"
If THEY taught them the secrets of the Imaginary Tree, would they instantly become two Aeons?
Hahaha.
Truly befitting golden Curios—the fun was immense!
"Mm~~" Tom let out a satisfied snort.
Hands on his hips, chest puffed proudly, nodding constantly.
Jerry, trapped in Tom's paw and seeing him hog all the praise, quickly freed himself, then darted to Tom's head.
First pointing at himself, then at Tom—clearly claiming he was slightly superior.
But Tom was displeased with Jerry's 'showing off' in every sense.
Before everyone's eyes, the seemingly ordinary cat quietly stretched its paw to a broom in the corner, like a winding snake, and dragged it back.
Everyone except Sylvester stared wide-eyed.
Modifying the body wasn't unusual—but how did it do so without any energy reaction?
Even Aha was stunned this time.
THEY didn't interfere with the cat and mouse, instead quietly watching to see what surprises might come next.
Then, Tom grabbed the broom and swung it fiercely at Jerry atop his head.
