Chapter 1 - Chapter 0: The Primal Heart of the World

Listen, my child, and I will tell you a story that begins with one world.

In the very, very beginning, there was only one continent, a land we called Mwanzo, a name that means "the beginning." On this vast and wild land lived the first people, the original ten clans, born of the great mother and father, Gikuyu and Mumbi. They lived in a world of raw energy we called Aetheria, but it was also a world with great beasts and monsters. To survive, they had to grow strong.

With time, some of the clans, driven by fear of the monsters, fled to the edges of Mwanzo. As they settled there, the continent began to crack and drift, separating the clans from one another. This is how the other continents were born, namely Eldoria, Xianzhou, and the Beastlands. The people who lived on the other continents were no longer fighting for their lives. They had found peace far from monsters, but they had also lost the pure connection to the original land's energy. With nothing to fight for, they went the easy way. They transformed the Aetheria into less potent energy forms that were simple to control but lacked the primordial strength.

The clan that remained, the tenth clan, stayed in the heart of Mwanzo. They were left with the sole duty of guarding the treasures of the nine clans and fighting off the monsters restlessly. They never had a moment of peace, but through this hardship, they grew stronger. Their land, which was later known as Jabali, a name that means "the rock," was a place with nothing but struggle. While the others grew civil and soft, they mastered the art of the raw Aetheria, forging a pure and wild Primal Core that allowed them to wield all sorts of elements, from fire and water to earth and air. Their power was not just magic; it was a way of life.

Later on, the others settled, and they started to build. The Eldorians, with their mana, built grand cities and invented powerful technologies. The people of Xianzhou, with their chi, perfected their martial arts and philosophy. And the Beastmen, with their Primal Heart, found a peace with the animals of their wild lands. They grew and grew until they became too big for their own continents, and they started to fight amongst themselves.

Amid the turmoil they came to remember our land, Jabali. They saw that our power was far too great and too wild, and they became afraid of the unknown. The Eldorians, the main culprits, led a so-called grand alliance. With their advanced knowledge technologies and their diluted magic, they came for us, joined by the martial fighters of Xianzhou and the strong warriors of the Beastlands. They conquered the land and killed or enslaved the people because they could not understand what we were and what we could become. And that is how our home became the Dark Lands.

Now, only one remains with a known pure Primal Core, a boy born on the day the world fell and whose heart holds the conflicting powers to make a change. He is the last hope. He is the one they would call the Primal Prince.
