Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

When the fog cleared, Naruto stared at Wukong, his mouth agape in shock.

Just… blew it away like that?!

He had never seen anything like it, and for a moment, his mind went completely blank. But the surprise didn't last long as he noticed Kakashi trapped in the water ball and Sasuke covered in cuts and bruises on the other side.

"Kakashi-sensei?! Sasuke?!"

Everyone's attention immediately focused on the two of them. Some were confused, some bewildered, and others relieved.

How did they get here so fast?

Zabuza frowned, equally puzzled. According to Bai's intelligence, these two should have been training far from here. Even if they had received Kakashi's message and rushed at full speed, they shouldn't have arrived so quickly.

And that gust of wind just now…

He hadn't sensed any chakra in the wind. It wasn't some large-scale wind escape technique. So where had it come from?

"Yo! Taking a bath?" Wukong greeted Kakashi from the water ball.

Kakashi secretly felt a surge of relief at Wukong's timely arrival, but the corners of his mouth twitched as he replied, "I'm trapped by the enemy."

"Is that so?" Wukong scratched his face, looking silly. "I thought you were taking a bath."

Naruto, unable to hold back any longer, formed hand seals and shouted, "The Art of Multiple Shadow Clones!"

Bang! Bang! Bang! In an instant, dozens of Narutos appeared across the battlefield.

"We're going to save Kakashi-sensei! Some of you support Sasuke!"

With tasks assigned, some clones charged toward Zabuza, others toward Haku. The scene was spectacular.

"Impressive! Tien Shinhan's Four-Body Fist can split four people at most… but Naruto can make this many!" Wukong said, amazed at the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique.

"Look at me!""Rush!!"

A group of clones shouted, rushing to their opponents.

But then—

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The clones were blown apart as they neared the enemy, turning instantly into mist. Naruto's real body, among the clones, was kicked away by a water clone from Zabuza.

What a fool… Kakashi frowned. Not only Zabuza, but Naruto might not even handle Haku. Who gave him the courage to fight two enemies at once?

"Naruto, just go support Sasuke. Leave me," Kakashi said as he rose from the water ball.

Naruto looked at Kakashi, then at Wukong, and finally nodded with understanding. "Okay, Kakashi-sensei! I'll handle Sasuke!"

He dashed toward the battle between Sasuke and Bai.

"Mr. Wukong… I'm sorry, but I think you should protect Mr. Dazna now," Kakashi said.

"No problem! I haven't had a workout in two days—I feel like my body's getting rusty!" Wukong replied, tapping his nose.

Zabuza, sensing danger, fired a weakened Water Dragon Bullet from a water clone toward Wukong, while another clone rushed at Dazna. Even if he faced two opponents, completing his mission and escaping remained his priority.

A small water dragon lunged at Wukong, teeth and claws bared. Just as it was about to strike, Wukong vanished. The dragon slammed into the ground, collapsing into a puddle.

"Wow… that's a lot of water!" Wukong exclaimed.

Spotting another water clone, he darted behind it and lightly knocked it aside with a knife. The clone instantly split into a stream of water.

"Fascinating… it turns back into water!" Wukong muttered, intrigued by this world's fighting style.

"Let him go. Fight me," Wukong said, turning to face Zabuza's real body.

"You mean Kakashi won't interfere?"

"This is a duel between you and me."

Zabuza's frown shifted to a smile, though disbelief lingered. He couldn't maintain the Water Prison Technique under Wukong's attack, and one clone wasn't enough to secure his target.

"You'd better keep your word," he said coldly, releasing the Water Prison Technique. Kakashi immediately escaped and flashed to Wukong's side.

"Thanks. If we team up, we can take him down quickly," Kakashi said, eyes on Zabuza.

Wukong placed a hand on Kakashi's shoulder. "This is my fight. You don't need to do anything." His tone left no room for argument.

"Mr. Wukong… you—"

Before Kakashi could finish, Wukong advanced, hooking a finger toward Zabuza.

"Let's begin."

Zabuza, expecting a joint attack, was surprised.

"Sun Wukong… I recognize you," he said, narrowing his eyes. "But you'll regret this!"

He formed hand seals. "Water Escape… Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"

A massive water dragon surged forward, several times larger than the previous one, striking Wukong with lightning speed.

"Oh, that was close!" Wukong said mid-air, wiping imaginary sweat from his brow after narrowly avoiding the attack.

"You've revealed your weakness, Sun Wukong," Zabuza sneered and appeared behind him, swinging his massive blade.

Whoosh!

The blade cut only air. Zabuza's pupils shrank in alarm as he instantly used the Substitution Technique.

Bang!

A huge foot struck the wooden substitute.

"Huh? He can turn into wood too?!" Wukong exclaimed mid-air.

On the ground, Zabuza twitched nervously, realizing this opponent didn't even seem to know the art of Substitution.

Wukong hadn't landed yet, so Zabuza seized the opportunity to form new seals.

"Water Escape… Great Waterfall Technique!"

A towering column of water surged toward Wukong. He condensed an energy sphere in his hand and hurled it at the column.

Bang!

The sphere exploded, blasting the water away. Mist sprayed everywhere, and sunlight refracted into a magnificent rainbow.

Zabuza, however, was too focused to admire it. His eyes were locked on Wukong, his face serious.

What… was that just now?
