With professor Rowan's words we all left his lab, Lucas and dawn decided to zoom off on their bikes leaving us peasants with her majesty Kyra who was now again being pulled by her Misdreavus.
"So how long are you going to be pulled like this?" I asked looking over my shoulder at Kyra, "until Jubilife city or I feel too stiff and need to walk, my cousin's family lives in Jubilife, I'll just drop the dolly off with them" was her response.
Sometime passed and Kyra now sitting up, looked around, "where's Barry?", at the mention of Barry I was looking around too, "oh, he left ages ago, he said couldn't wait for spooky the slowpoke" Noah added his two cents while backing away a little as he said the last part.
Smart man, he'll definitely live to see old age, as Noah said the spooky part, I noticed Kyra narrowing her eyes.
Kyra didn't mind when random people called her spooky, but mind when people she knew and was more comfortable around called her spooky, that was when you would regret it.
Kyra, now in a bad mood looked to the only source she could think of to remove her frustration, "oh Misdreavus". Misdreavus, hearing its name in the tone Kyra used stiffened, then nervously turned around.
"Misdreavus, were doubling our next training session" as Kyra finished Misdreavus twitched looking like it wanted to protest, but Kyra shot her a don't your fuckin dare look, a super effective move most mothers had, I guess Kyra had learned it from Barry's mom.
Misdreavus just hung her head and started pulling the rope.
"dreavus, mis, Misdreavus", as Misdreavus was pulling we could all hear her muttering under her breath, I will pray for you Barry.
We continued walking down route 202 midway through, we decided to pull off to the side of the road near a river.
As we rested I looked at Noah, "Let's release our new Pokemon", "yeah I'm curious about my Turtwig.
"Come on out team"
"You too Turtwig"
With a flash of light our pokemon appeared
"Petilil", "Piplup", "Turtwig"
All our Pokemon were released, "alright Petilil this is Piplup, Piplup this is Petilil"
Pulling out my Pokédex I looked at this Piplup's information and moves. Unlike the original Piplup I scanned in professor Rowan's lab/ Dawn's Piplup, my Piplup was a girl. A few days after I originally got Petilil I asked what her gender was and Petilil was also a girl.
Piplup looked at Petilil with a challenge in its eye, "pip Piplup" Piplup stated while putting one of its flippers on its stomach
Petilil after hearing Piplup started giggling, "Petilil, "Petilil"
Whatever Piplup said it seemed to amuse Petilil, looking over to Noah, he was treating his Turtwig like a small dog, playing fetch with a stick he found nearby. Turning back to my pokemon, Piplup kept getting louder "PIPLUP, PIP, LUP"
Remembering the pokedex information about Piplup, I remember it said that Piplup were prideful pokemon. By the looks of it Piplup had wanted to be the leader, and Petilil had simply laughed in her face.
Piplup, now looking pissed, charged at Petilil, its beak glowing with a white light as it used Peck. Petilil seeing the attack, looking bored, looked at me for a second, I nodded towards her.
With all of our training, a head on attack like this was child's play for Petilil.
Piplup charged towards Petilil, just as Piplup's attack was about to land, Petilil disappeared from Piplup's view.
"Piplup?"
Petilil appeared right behind Piplup, with all of our training, Petilil was very agile. While she hadn't been able to learn energy ball, for now Petilil was only able to condense the energy around her onto her fists.
"Petilil!!", was all Piplup heard before getting energy punched in the ass, the punch launched Piplup into the air, as Piplup was getting closer to the river a yellow field goal appeared.

Hearing the sound of whistle I turned around and saw Misdreavus had a whistle, with a giant go Petilil banner. Even the stick Noah's Turtwig was playing around with had a little green shaped flag on the end.
After two minutes Piplup was coming back with her face as red as a tomato, wanting to test something I turned back to Noah.
"Noah, can I borrow a bag of Buizel bites?" Noah, who had his Turtwig in his lap, just gave me a confused look, "how do you borrow a snack, you gonna give it back?"
Mouth twitching a little, "can I please, have a bag of Buizel bites, I'll buy you a new bag, when we get to Jubilife." that got Noah moving as he turned to open his backpack, every friend group had two specific types of people, the vending machine, and the racist.
Noah was our snack guy, you wanted something to munch on he had it as long as you had manners and paid him back. Then there was Kyra, she wasn't racist, unless you counted the fact she didn't want any non ghost type pokemon in her team.
As for Buizel bites, they were this world's equivalent to Cheetos; both Buizel, and Floatzel were the Sinnoh region's summer time mascots.
"Hikari", Noah called as he threw the bag at me, catching the bag, I turned towards Piplup, who was standing closer to me than before while glaring at Petilil, who was still looking bored.
Upon hearing the sound of me opening the bag, Piplup stopped glaring at Petilil, but looked like she didn't know why. I just gave her the bag and watched, Piplup took the bag, looked inside then popped in one of the balls into her mouth.
I could tell the second Piplup started chewing, she saw the truth of the world. She saw the galaxy, random cats with rainbows, Stan Lee with Waldo and Zoro.
While Piplup was having her epiphany we stayed for a few minutes longer then decided to continue moving. Piplup now mentally back with us started happily walking with us while eating her snack, Petilil, I put in the back of my hoodie to let her photosynthesize.
Noah still had his Turtwig out and was walking with him, overall it was a fun experience. Time passed and we eventually made our way to the first pokemon center, that was basically in the middle of a forest.
Jubilife city from route 202, took at most three days to reach four if you were directionally challenged.
Unlike what you would expect some kids were natural ten year old's, and were not comfortable being on their own and ended their journey within the first week. Most parents of Twinleaf town sent their kids out with enough supplies to last a week, to see if they had the will to keep moving forward.
Even though my own dad owned the local pokemart and had confidence in me, my parents sent me out with the standard week's worth of supplies along with 3000 pokedollars.
Luckily since we were all trainers, we could stay and eat in the pokemon center for free. I took a room with Kyra, while Noah got his own room.
Turns out Kyra was not a morning person, I tried and failed to wake her up, with Noah's help we literally dragged her to the mess hall to eat breakfast. With the way her body was moving you would think we were moving a corpse, heck when we put her in her chair Noah caught her head before she smashed it into the table.
After a breakfast drawn out buy Kyra's grumbling, we hit the road. Surprisingly today, Kyra walking "Why are you so down today, is it because you decided to join us peasants Kyra?" Noah asked with a bright smile, at both of our smiles Kyra gave us both a dry look
"When you're laying down for most of the day, you tend to get stiff, also it is 7 in the morning, it is too early for me to be happy. The only reason I am even moving is because of this cup of hot coco"
"Why don't you get an energy drink, or a coffee? Five bucks says I can guess what you would like", Noah added
Kyra pointed a finger at Noah, who was walking backwards facing us, "In case you forgot, we're all poor, so I need to watch my spendings, as for coffee again I am too broke to get an addiction."
Smiling at Kyra and Noah's harmless banter, we continued moving forward. While we were walking Noah picked up a random stick then took out a pecha berry, next impaled it through the berry and put the stick on the end of his backpack.
Giving him a confused look I asked him, "what was all that?", he just chuckled "I felt that this trip could use a little more excitement, the smell of the berry's juices will attract any pokemon nearby."
At this Kyra piped in, "what if it's something we can't handle?" Now it was my turn to bully Kyra, "simple you're the slowest out of the three of us, I'll just kick you in the shin then me and Noah will split what's in your wallet".
Squawking in outrage, Kyra charged towards me, laughing as I ran away with Noah cackling all the way. After a few minutes of running, we all suddenly heard a rustling from a bush near the road ahead.
That got everyone serious, while most pokemon in this forest were easy to beat, that didn't mean there wasn't anything to fear. We all shifted, pokeballs at the ready, when a blue mouse-like head popped into view.
It was a Shinx, at the sight of Shinx me and Kyra relaxed but still had our guard up in case the Shinx tried anything. Noah however, got the stick with the berry then took off the berry, then started waving it around.
"Do you want this?" The Shinx nodded, its full attention on the berry. Noah tossed the berry over to the Shinx, who caught the berry in its mouth then swallowed the slightly shrunken berry whole. "Do you want more? I have more but if I give you more you have to become my pokemon."
At the first part Shinx looked excited, at the second part it paused, then fully looked at Noah. Shinx sat there for a moment before shifting into a battle stance, "Shinx, Shinx, Shi"
"I have no idea what you just said but I'm going to assume, you said you'll join me if I beat you?" Once Noah finished talking, Shinx nodded. Me and Kyra were completely relaxed now just watching the spectacle before us.
"Alright then, come on out Turtwig"
"Turtwig,"
With Turtwig now out the battle started, "Turtwig, use razor leaf", with a flick of the sprout on top of his head a bunch of green blades headed towards Shinx.
Shinx, not wanting to get hit dodged to the side, then charged towards Turtwig, "Turtwig, use tackle"
Just as the two pokemon were about to collide, Shinx jumped into the air, then hopped on Turtwig like a certain Italian plumber, as Shinx was in the air he must have charged himself, because when Shinx used thunder shock, a loud cry came from Turtwig.
Shinx's attack had finished and Turtwig wasn't looking that great, it had only been one attack, but with a charged attack and how badly Turtwig looked, the only thing that came to mind was the rivalry ability.
The rivalry ability was the ability to do more damage to the same gender as the user, and less to one of the opposite gender. This Shinx was male, and was a diabolical genius, "Turtwig, razor leaf, then follow up with absorb.
Turtwig launched his attack at the Shinx, who used the opportunity to charge himself, while Shinx was dodging the leaves he left himself open and the absorb landed.
Shinx realizing he needed to get close used tackle, "again" Noah, called, this time Shinx, was too close and unable to dodge all the leaves, and again the absorb hit.
Shinx now looking like it was on its last legs, Noah threw the pokeball.
1,2,3 shakes then pop, a light and Shinx was caught.
