Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: A New Day With New Power

The chat group window flickered shut, vanishing from Jay's sight like smoke in the wind. He leaned back in his chair, exhaled, then finally allowed his body to sink into the mattress. For the first time in days, sleep came easily.

The next morning, sunlight cut through the curtains. Jay stirred, stretched, and sat up. His body felt… heavier yet lighter at the same time, as if power itself had reshaped his bones overnight. He glanced at his reflection in the mirror across the room, taller, sharper, more defined.

Yesterday, Mori Jin's might fused into his veins. Adonis's essence had sculpted his features into something almost unreal. Today, though, would bring something new.

"Prometheus," he muttered. "Daily login."

Jay's eyes darted across the glowing screen, heart pounding.

"…Syrica. Reincarnation magic. So I can resurrect people now? That's not just magic—that's rewriting the rules of life itself."

He scrolled further, lips tightening.

"Ingall, resurrection in three seconds. A literal 'CTRL+Z' for someone's life..."

His gaze froze on a single word.

"Venuzdonoa. The Reason Destruction Sword. A blade that erases laws, concepts, even logic… Which means, yeah, technically I could delete algebra homework from existence. Funny as hell—but also terrifying."

He swiped again, then stopped cold.

"Delzogade Demon Castle. …A floating fortress? What would I even do with that—park it above Sainan High just to flex? That's the kind of move that paints a target on your back."

He dragged a hand through his hair, exhaling slowly.

"I was already busted with Mori Jin and Gojo's powers, Adonis's Essence…and now this… it's not power anymore it's a responsibility too... If fate wants to throw aliens, gods, and whatever else at me… fine. But I need to play this smart."

A faint grin tugged at his lips, though his eyes stayed sharp.

"I'm not the protagonist anymore… I'm the hidden boss. The one no one sees coming."

The mirror across the room cracked under the weight of his aura. Jay snapped his fingers, pulling it back instantly, the air stabilizing with a faint shimmer.

He closed the system window with a sigh.

"…Alright. Calm. One step at a time. And no nuking the planet before breakfast."

He changed clothes, tied on a clean school uniform shirt, and headed downstairs. Mamako's usual humming was absent rare. She must have overslept. Without hesitation, Jay slipped on an apron and started cooking: eggs, toast, miso soup. The rhythm steadied him.

The scent of breakfast filled the kitchen just as footsteps padded down. Mamako appeared, yawning softly, her brown hair a little messy. She blinked once, then froze.

The aroma filled the kitchen just as soft footsteps came down.

Mamako appeared, hair tousled, still rubbing her eyes. She froze mid-step.

"J-Jay-kun…?"

Her breath caught. Standing in the kitchen wasn't her adopted son—it was a man who looked like he'd stepped out of myth. Two meters tall, white hair gleaming, shoulders broad enough to block the light behind him. His smile was calm, collected, and devastating.

Her cheeks heated. She turned quickly, masking the flush with a practiced motherly tone.

"Ufufu… Mama must be imagining things. You look… different again, Jay-kun."

Jay just smirked, plating the food. "Guess training paid off."

Before Mamako could answer, footsteps thundered from upstairs. Masato entered, eyes narrowing instantly.

He took in the scene—Jay in an apron, Mamako pink in the cheeks, the table already filled with perfectly cooked breakfast.

"…You've gotta be kidding me." His tone was sharp.

"What are you doing, acting like the perfect son now? Trying to show me up?"

Jay raised a brow.

"It's just breakfast."

"Tch."

Masato glared. The knot in his chest tightened. He'd always lived in Jay's shadow — taller, stronger, smarter. But now? Jay looked like some damn supermodel mixed with a demigod. And worse, Mamako's gaze lingered on him, even if she tried to hide it.

Mamako, ever the peacemaker, clapped her hands gently.

"Now, now, Ma-kun. No sulking before breakfast. Come, eat with us."

Masato muttered curses under his breath but sat down anyway, refusing to look away from Jay.

Jay served them quietly, unbothered, finishing his meal in minutes. He rinsed his dishes, grabbed his school bag, and turned to the door.

"I'll be heading out."

Mamako blinked. "Eh? Already?"

Jay nodded. "Yeah. School."

He slid the door open. Morning sunlight spilled across him, a golden aura haloing his frame.

Sainan Metropolitan High School. The stage where To Love-Ru would unfold—aliens, princesses, chaos.

Jay's lips curved into a grin.

"Alright. Let's rewrite this story."

And with that, Jay stepped out into a new chapter of destiny.
