Chapter 7 - CHAPTER SEVEN

Everybody was eager to hear what Klaus would say. All eyes were on him, their faces tense with anticipation.

The room was silent, the only sound was the soft creaking of wooden beams.

May's chest heaved with each breath, her eyes fixed on Klaus's face. Her hands clenched into fists, her nails digging into her palms.

She felt like she was drowning in a sea of embarrassment, her worst fears playing out before her eyes.

The priest's voice cut through the silence, his words measured and deliberate. "We are waiting, Klaus."

Klaus's gaze drifted to May, his eyes searching for something. His face was a mask of calm, but his eyes betrayed a hint of longing. He looked at Andrea, staring deeply into her eyes.

"I accept her as my mate," Klaus said, his voice firm and resolute.

The room erupted into a cacophony of sounds, the murmurs and gasps swirling around May like a vortex. Her cry was a sharp, keening wail that cut through the din like a knife.

As the priest pronounced Klaus and Andrea mates, May's face contorted in a mixture of shock and anger.

Her eyes blazed with a fierce inner fire, her voice trembling with rage. "How dare you, Klaus?" she blurted, amidst anger.

Tears streamed down her face as she spoke, her body shaking with sobs. Klaus's expression was a mask of calm, but his eyes flickered with a hint of pity.

Luna's voice cut through the commotion, her tone icy. "Guards, come and take this... woman out of here. She is disturbing the room with her noise."

The guards marched towards May, their faces expressionless. May didn't struggle, her body limp with shame. She felt like she was being dragged away, her dignity in tatters.

Andrea's eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed on Klaus's face. She wondered what game he was playing, what motives lay behind his sudden acceptance.

His smirk sent a shiver down her spine, a cold dread creeping into her heart.

As the celebration began, Andrea turned to slip away, her heart heavy with foreboding. The room was toxic, the atmosphere suffocating. She needed to escape, to clear her head and figure out her next move.

The sudden sound of Klaus's voice jolted Andrea back. "Where are you heading to when you still have your mate here?" Klaus asked, his voice low and husky.

Andrea felt a shiver run down her spine as Klaus's eyes locked onto hers. Her legs wobbled beneath her, and she became speechless, her eyes fixed on his chiseled features.

Klaus's hands closed around her arms, his fingers wrapping around her like a vice. "You owe me a dance," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "and I want to see you swing your waist for me."

Andrea's eyes widened as Klaus pulled her onto the dance floor. She felt numb, her mind racing with thoughts of escape.

She had never danced before in her life, and the thought of doing so in front of this crowd made her stomach twist with anxiety.

Klaus turned her around, his hands guiding her movements. He slid his hand down her back, his fingers brushing against her buttocks.

Andrea froze, her heart racing with fear. She wanted to yell, to push him away, but she couldn't afford to raise her voice at her mate in public.

The gasps and whispers from the crowd were like a distant hum, a reminder that they were being watched.

Klaus's smile was a thin-lipped affair, his eyes glinting with amusement. He held her waist, his fingers digging into her skin, making her shy away.

Andrea bent her face, feeling a flush rise to her cheeks. Klaus's touch was like a brand, burning her skin. She tried to pull away, but he held her fast, his grip like a vice.

As they danced, Klaus raised her towards him, his lips inches from hers. Andrea saw it coming and resisted, trying to push him away. Klaus's eyes flashed with anger, and he used his legs to cage her, making her fall.

The sound of her body hitting the floor was like a loud thud, followed by a series of laughter from the crowd.

Andrea's face burned with shame as she scrambled to her feet, desperate to escape the humiliation.

She ran out of the room, her heart pounding in her chest. She didn't stop until she reached her own room, slamming the door shut behind her.

But her peace was short-lived. Her arms were gripped from behind, and she was spun around, her back slamming into the wall. May's face was inches from hers, her eyes blazing with anger.

"What's your problem?" Andrea asked, wincing from the pain.

"How dare you take my man?" May spat, her voice venomous. "Ain't you ashamed of yourself? The men out there ain't they enough for you?"

Andrea's eyes flashed with anger. "He was mated to me. So it wasn't my fault. Deal with it."

May's face twisted with rage, and she landed a heavy blow, sending Andrea crashing to the floor.

Andrea struggled to get up, her head spinning with pain. May's eyes were still blazing with anger, her chest heaving with exertion.

"You got the nerves, huh?" May sneered. "I'll deal with you in a way you can't imagine, so that next time, you'll know where you belong."

Andrea's eyes narrowed, her heart pounding with fear. She knew she couldn't take on May, not in her current state. She lay there, helpless, as May's anger continued to build.

Andrea's eyes flashed with determination as she stood tall, her voice steady. "If given the chance, I will reject him because he doesn't have the qualities that I need in a mate," she said, trying to stand on her feet, her legs wobbly from the earlier confrontation.

May's face twisted in anger. "Why didn't you do so outrightly? Do you think I'm a fool?" she snapped, her voice echoing through the room.

Andrea stood up, facing May, her eyes locked on her sister's. She took a deep breath, her voice firm.

"I know very well that both of you are lovers, and why will I accept him if asked to choose?" The tension between them was palpable, the air thick with unspoken words.

"Of all the men out there, is it Klaus that I will settle for? He is virtually your type, and not mine.

Klaus doesn't even deserve that Alpha title," Andrea said sarcastically, her lips curling in disgust.

A resounding slap landed on Andrea's face, the sound echoing through the room. She had been expecting it.

Andrea had always wished for a day when she could tell her good for nothing sister her mind. Well, the day was finally here for her.

She could take all the physical assault coming her way, but she would make sure she told her sister the truth.

Andrea rubbed her face, feeling the coolness of her palms. Her palms felt cool against her flushed cheeks.

She removed her hand from her face, moving closer to May, her eyes blazing with determination.

"I don't care about what you do with him; that's your business, and not mine," Andrea said, her voice steady, her eyes locked on May's.

"Aren't you ashamed of yourself?" Her tone was laced with disgust, her words dripping with venom.

May's eyes flashed with anger, and she lifted Andrea off the ground, her wolfish strength surging through her veins.

With a swift motion, she flung Andrea across the hall, the sound of Andrea's body hitting the floor echoing through the room.

May pounced on Andrea, her hands closing around her throat like a vice. "Wow… so you can be this outspoken.

I never knew," she spat, slamming Andrea's head on the wall, the sound of the impact making Andrea's head spin.

Andrea's head throbbed with pain, and blood trickled down her forehead from the gash as a result of the numerous assaults she had encountered.

"Klaus is just using you for his selfish interests, just so you know," Andrea summoned her last bit of strength to whisper, her voice barely audible.

Andrea turned at the voice of Klaus, his presence calming the tension in the room. "Do you want to kill her?" he asked, his voice firm. "Let her be." His eyes locked on May's, a warning glinting in their depths.

May's eyes narrowed, and she asked, "And why will I let her be?" She released her grip on Andrea's neck, her hands dropping to her sides.

"This is what she gets by having her eyes on you," May spat, moving closer to Klaus, her eyes blazing with anger.

Andrea's eyes searched Klaus's face, silently asking, "Why are you doing this to me?" "Give me reasons. I need to hear them," she said, her voice laced with emotion.

Klaus's voice was barely a whisper as he replied, "It's not what you think."

"I will make you the future Luna," Klaus said, his eyes locked on Andrea's.

"But how is that possible when you have been mated to the omega?" Andrea asked, her eyes welling up with tears, her voice trembling with emotion.

Klaus gently cupped her face, his touch soothing. "Don't be moody, okay. I only accepted to be her mate for some reasons best known to me," he said soothingly.

"I'll come back for you," he assured her, his eyes locked on hers.

"Are you serious right now?" Andrea asked, beaming with smiles, her face lighting up with hope.

"I'm happy now, but please, make it happen soon so we can be together," she said, lifting her legs off the floor, her eyes shining with excitement.

Klaus took her hands, his fingers intertwining with hers. He kissed the back of her palms, his lips warm against her skin. "I will, my lady," he said, his voice low and husky.

Andrea saw them embracing each other. She didn't give a damn and hurriedly walked to her room.

She stopped in her tracks upon hearing Klaus's manly tone. "Where do you think you're going?" he asked, approaching her.

"I'm heading to my room," Andrea replied, not giving him her attention. "Do you have a problem with that?"

"We're mated already. My room should be your room now. Come, let's head to our room," he said, taking her by the hands.

Andrea removed her hands from his forcefully. "Don't you dare touch me again," she blurted, turning back to go to her room.

Klaus rushed and held her by the waist. "Come, let's spend the night together. I won't condone any refusal from you again," he said, cupping her breast with his other hand.

"Get your filthy hands off me, and never try this with me again," Andrea blurted.

Klaus flashed with anger, and he lifted her off the ground. With his wolfish strength surging through his veins, he rushed to his room within the twinkling of an eye. Andrea was surprised to find herself in Klaus's room.

"What's the meaning of this? Why can't you leave me the hell alone?" she asked at the top of her voice.

"I don't accept you as my mate. Klaus' face darkened, his eyes narrowing as he took a step closer to Andrea. He felt grateful that she hadn't been given the chance to accept or reject him publicly.

It would have been the worst embarrassment if she had said that to the crowd, having an Omega reject a soon-to-be Alpha like him.

The thought sounded ridiculous to him. Who would have thought that he would be rejected by an Omega? Klaus' chest tightened, his breath catching in his throat as he struggled to contain his rage.

He carried her up from her feet and flung her onto the bed. "What are you trying to do?" Andrea asked, getting up from the bed.

Klaus punched her, making her fall back onto the bed. "I'll teach you a lesson so that next time, you'll give me the respect that I deserve," Klaus said angrily. He tore her clothes, and his eyes widened in shock at what he saw.
