Chapter 4 - DGYT: Chapter 4

Taking in the scene of this human hell, Ignis Glow didn't say a word.

He simply leaped onto his small, single-person vessel.

And pursued the World Government fleet that had destroyed the town where he'd lived for thirty years!

On the blue sea, seagulls soared through the sky.

Several large World Government ships were sailing.

"This was boring. I thought it would be a fat target, but it was completely dry. We didn't even have to make up a reason for them not paying the Tribute."

"Hahaha, you guys didn't see the amusing looks on those commoners' faces as they despaired."

"It's a shame there weren't more people there; they died too quickly."

"Otherwise, we could have recorded this with a Transponder Snail and shown it to Saint Rosward for entertainment. It would definitely be more fun than playing with the slaves in the Holy Land."

On the deck, several World Government members, still unsatisfied, excitedly discussed.

As for the fleet passing by the town, filled with corpses, blood, and smoke-filled skies, to them, it was like casually stepping on an ant.

In fact, that was exactly the case.

As World Government personnel dispatched to collect the 'Tribute', thanks to the World Government's reputation and the Celestial Dragons' double protection, let alone ordinary towns, even the kings of some kingdoms had to be respectful in their presence.

So when they heard that the mission was to destroy an island, they had looked forward to it for a while.

After all, there weren't many opportunities for this kind of 'entertainment' where they could crush bugs at will.

But they didn't expect the firepower of their fleet from the Grand Line to be too powerful.

In a short time, everyone was dead.

This made many on the deck feel very bored.

"Still, collecting Tribute from other kingdoms in the North Blue is more interesting."

A World Government member shook his head, his gaze suddenly drifting towards the G-64 Navy branch behind them, jokingly saying:

"It would have been nice if the target of this attack had included that branch next door, hehe."

"Kill the Navy?"

"Forget it, they're our obedient dogs. Without Saint Rosward's permission, destroying a Navy branch without authorization is a serious crime."

"Yeah."

Someone else looked towards the G-64 branch in agreement and nodded.

He was about to speak again, suddenly, "Hm?!"

A World Government member with a scar on his face abruptly stood up on the deck of the ship.

Staring at the sea behind the fleet, he said, "Speaking of which, I didn't expect there to be someone so audacious to target us."

"Audacious?"

"What?! Where?!"

The other World Government members, who had just felt unsatisfied, quickly stood up.

Then, they looked in the direction of their scarred companion.

Soon, in their line of sight, on the blue sea, they saw the so-called 'audacious' person.

It was an old man with gray hair, wearing a pristine white shirt, alone, on a small boat, somehow appearing behind their fleet!

"That's... an old geezer about to kick the bucket?"

"Eh... what's the joke? What does this old man want?"

"Boring, I thought we'd met some suicidal pirates. Someone dares to challenge the World Government's authority."

Seeing the man's appearance, they sneered.

This kind of old man, about to be eliminated by the times, what interest could he possibly hold for them?

They believed that any one of them could easily defeat such an old man with one hand!

"Alright, but speaking of which...hm?"

The scarred man who first spotted the 'old man' behind the fleet suddenly looked sideways.

"What's he going to do?"

Doubt arose.

On the small ship alone at sea, the 'old man' they considered an outdated relic of the past, held a katana that looked ordinary to the point of being unremarkable.

Then, as this thought appeared, vaguely…

The scarred man's face changed, and he involuntarily looked up at the cloudless sky.

What's going on?

It was already past noon, the hottest time of day.

But the temperature at sea seemed to be inexplicably rising?

Unconsciously, as sweat appeared on his forehead, the scarred man looked again at the lone figure on the boat behind the fleet.

His face suddenly changed drastically.

"No… no, this isn't an illusion!"

Attack, Kill!

On Ignis Glow's single-person vessel, under the cloudless and sunny sky.

"One… two… three…"

A murmuring voice came from Ignis Glow.

As Ignis Glow held his ordinary-looking antique katana horizontally.

The scene of the human hell he had just witnessed flashed before his eyes.

Ignis Glow's eyes were filled only with coldness.

"This way, I just need to leave some lucky ones alive for questioning."

The thought arose.

With Ignis Glow as the center, the sea temperature, even though it was past noon, the hottest part of the day.

However, at this moment, the surrounding temperature was rising at a visible speed!

The sea was gradually boiling~ Underwater creatures fled frantically.

The sea breeze blew, but the refreshing sea breeze felt like scorching hot waves, like knives, slapping against the faces of all living things!

At the same time, as Ignis Glow, without hesitation, swung Ryūjin Jakka, unleashing a horizontal slash.

In an instant, Hum~! Swish!

It was as if an endless sea of flames, burning across the entire sky, poured down towards the World Government fleet on the sea!
