Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

"Go ahead. I won't be angry anymore. Trust me."

Sebastian tried to keep his voice as gentle as possible.

Emilia smiled foolishly. "Actually, actually, it's nothing. I just think you're a bit mentally retarded, moody."

Sure enough, Sebastian's face froze in the car...

Is he mentally retarded? Those words lingered in Sebastian's mind.

In Emilia's mind, he had actually been labeled that way?

Damn it, was this woman doing this on purpose, or was she serious?

Why couldn't he find a single expression of deception on Emilia's face? Was he blaming her for being so confused?

"You said you wouldn't be angry."

Emilia glanced at the man tentatively.

But Sebastian simply nodded calmly, saying nothing. A long silence descended into the car.

The hour's journey was almost over. Emilia looked at the luxurious villa before her. It turned out the wealthy man lived so far from her own home. The driver, Thomas, quickly got out and opened the door. Emilia looked out at the brightly lit courtyard.

Sebastian said nothing more, simply saying to the butler, Alfred, who had come forward, "Prepare a room for this young lady."

He then turned and walked away. Emilia felt a little annoyed. What was wrong with this man?

Did she really say something wrong?

But he wasn't angry either. Why was she suddenly so concerned about this?

She didn't like this man; she already had a man she loved.

Emilia consoled herself as she watched the man in front of her pause, only to walk away again a few seconds later.

As if about to say something, but nothing came of it, Emilia pouted and followed the butler in the opposite direction.

The old butler, Alfred, was very kind and took the initiative to speak to Emilia.

"Miss, you are the first woman the young master has brought home," the old butler said with a hint of joy.

What? He was the first woman the rich man brought home?

"How, how is this possible? He's so promiscuous, he must have many women."

Emilia couldn't believe it. How could Sebastian have brought only her back here?

"Yes, the women the young master brings back are all arranged by someone. You're the first one to be able to ride here in his car."

The old butler said sincerely, but Emilia was immediately shocked. Was there any difference here?

"Miss, that's your room. Get some rest. The young master probably won't be free tonight."

The butler hurried away.

Emilia looked at the attic before her. While not very large, it had two floors, though small, suitable for two people at most.

After a day of playing with her idol, she was exhausted and rushed in.

Sebastian had just returned to his room when the old butler, Alfred, rushed over immediately, looking a little nervous.

He reached out and knocked on the door.

"Come in."

Sebastian was in a bad mood. Perhaps Emilia's words had really hurt him. "Old Master Victor Osorn wrote today, saying something urgent had happened and asked you to go back. I was so anxious I forgot to tell him."

The old butler lowered his head.

A hint of surprise crossed Sebastian's face. He waved his hand, ordering the butler to leave. He fell silent, thinking of Emilia, and a deep worry crept in his heart. What should he do with that woman?

The old man's letter seemed to conceal a great secret. Should he go back...

At night, Luca paced back and forth in his room.

A sickly voice came from the phone. It was his father.

"Ban, you must kill that man, or our family will be unable to survive."

The voice kept echoing in his ears, and Luca seemed a little tired of this life.

"Father, if I kill the last enemy, can I stay in Riverdale?"

Of course, the man Emilia saw as a god concealed a terrifying identity: he was actually a killer. He was also the heir to a European black market fortune. His father had sent him here several years ago because he had some grudges to settle.

"Ban, why did you stay in Riverdale? Our family needs you. Come back after you finish that task. Don't force me to send someone to kill that girl. I don't want to upset you. Selina has been waiting for you for years. Come back and get married."

Luca finally hung up the phone helplessly. He had already fallen for Emilia, but...

He knew they wouldn't work out, and he had always tried to remain indifferent to this confused girl.

But Emilia moved him again and again.

Luca finally chose to go back to sleep. Tomorrow he would kill someone, and that person was related to Sebastian.

But he had never imagined that an innocent girl would be forced into this conflict.

The night was cold, and Emilia was alone in the large bed in the room. Even with the heater on, she still felt a little chilly. She tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep. She was clearly sleepy, but she couldn't.

She immediately sent a text to her boyfriend: "Luca, I've been kidnapped."

A few seconds after she sent it, he called, and Emilia was overjoyed.

It seemed this method worked best in a critical moment. She had never thought of teasing Luca like this before.

Listening to the ringtone, Emilia deliberately ignored it, trying to create some atmosphere...

Unbeknownst to her, Luca had planned all this long ago. Emilia's phone had a tracking device.

Of course, Luca had secretly installed this as a precaution. He was a killer, and Emilia was bound to get into trouble if she stayed with him.

But he had no idea it was just a test. Emilia, this confused girl, always had a tendency to get into trouble.

After the call went unanswered, Emilia typed another text message. "Someone's watching at the door. I dare not speak. Luca, save me."

After pressing send, Emilia planned to get some sleep. She naively believed that Luca wouldn't show up, wouldn't come to save her, because she had always felt that Luca didn't care much about her.

He was always so hot and cold, and she thought the man was just having his first relationship.

Almost an hour passed, and Emilia was about to drift off to sleep when a figure flashed by, picked up the instrument in his hand, and looked at the location displayed. But...

Why was Emilia here? Had his and his father's plan been exposed?

Is this man trying to capture Emilia to threaten him not to kill the old man? Luca quickly retracted his equipment and, with a swift turn, entered the villa—Osorn Manor—but it was surprisingly empty. Luca cautiously moved around the small attic. He looked at Emilia, lying on the large bed, staring at her phone, seemingly unable to sleep. She kept muttering, "Damn Luca, damn Luca, why didn't she even reply to my text?"

Luca breathed a sigh of relief at these words. It seemed Emilia was just joking, but he was genuinely worried.

But why was she in Sebastian's villa? That was what he wondered about, and so late at night...

He vaguely remembered the scene of their parting at Emilia's house that night. Why was this woman here?

Had she betrayed him?

Luca felt a little sad and walked casually into the room. Emilia was stunned, watching the black-clad man approach her...

She quickly leaped onto the large bed. In the darkness, she didn't dare turn on the light, simply pulling the blanket over her.

"Who are you... a wealthy man?"

Emilia tentatively inquired, but the other party remained silent. Luca seemed to notice his current outfit.

He couldn't let Emilia discover his identity; it would ruin her image of him.

Luca quickly left the room, but Emilia couldn't hold back any longer and let out a scream...

"There's a ghost..."

With that scream, the many lights in the villa, previously off, suddenly lit up.

Luca quickly sought a hiding place. He felt a mixture of love and hate for this confused woman...

Soon, the small attic was surrounded by security guards, and Sebastian hurried over from the other side.

He had just received a report from his subordinate, James, and was already panicking. How could Emilia be frightened here? "Master, please give your orders."

The group didn't dare enter the attic without permission, for it had been under a death order. It held a story, a story that had been sealed for nearly a decade.

"Search the entire villa immediately, check all surveillance cameras. I want to know who broke in."

Sebastian commanded, and the crowd quickly dispersed. However, Luca had been careless, barging into Sebastian's villa without even carefully examining it. It seemed his eagerness to save someone had clouded his reason. This Emilia had completely disrupted his life.

He had lost even the detection and vigilance of a killer.

It seemed he might not be able to escape tonight, let alone rescue Emilia.

Sebastian strode into the attic, where Emilia's panicked cries continued to echo.

His heart was pierced, and he strode in.

Seeing Emilia curled up at the head of the bed, Sebastian walked over without a second thought and pulled her into his arms. "Don't cry, don't cry, it's okay, everything will be fine."

Sebastian patted Emilia's back with a distressed look.

Emilia was clearly genuinely frightened. Living alone in a room, and suddenly a dark figure appeared, standing not far from the bed, would frighten even the bravest girl.

"Rich man, I don't want to live here."

Emilia frantically grasped at Sebastian's clothes.

Sebastian caressed her hair lovingly. This was the most bizarre thing that had ever happened in this attic in all its years. Was someone playing tricks, or had "their" family truly returned...

He began to worry. Sebastian really didn't want to recall what had happened in this villa ten years ago.

But what had happened here? Why was Sebastian still so frightened?

"Emilia, it's okay. Stay here tonight. I'll take you home tomorrow."

Sebastian consoled her. The old man, who had been silent, had suddenly called him back. There must be something hidden here, and he had to go back, but he couldn't bear to leave Emilia behind.

So he planned to take her away...

"Hey, tycoon, I just saw someone standing by the bed, watching me. I'm scared."

Amelia hid in Sebastian's arms. After something like this, she really didn't want to stay here any longer.

She had to admit she was timid. The reason she lived in Dean Zhang's room instead of hers was because she was timid.

But now, the only person she could trust was this man she had known for only a day.

Amelia began to feel strange.

She could feel Sebastian's doting and tolerance.

Sebastian leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, patting her back repeatedly.

"Kitten, I'm here. I'll hold you up even if the sky falls. Don't worry."

His deep voice was thick with allure, but Emilia truly believed him and calmed down. "Are you leaving here soon?" Emilia asked, still a little worried. She found herself clinging to Sebastian. Perhaps it was because this man was truly charming, his attentiveness and thoughtfulness gave Emilia a strong sense of security. Sebastian shook his head, then said, "Now that I'm here, how could I bear to leave you?" Emilia slapped his chest in embarrassment, her previous negative emotions completely fading, replaced by embarrassment. "Hateful, rich guy, you're a jerk," Emilia said, feigning anger. Sebastian took advantage of the situation and threw Emilia onto the bed, peppering her neck with kisses. Emilia struggled shyly. "Don't do that, it's itchy..." Emilia felt her body grow hotter. Even in this cold winter, she still felt a little warm, perhaps because of the man pressing against her. "Kitten, you're truly captivating."

Sebastian truly couldn't help but desire her, but he knew full well that the woman he'd met last night was a virgin, and he couldn't demand her so recklessly.

"Don't you say that to a lot of women?"

Emilia was clearly jealous.

Sebastian suddenly laughed and said in a rather flattering tone, "Kitten, are you trying to understand my past?"

"I don't. I wouldn't bother."

Emilia felt a little embarrassed by the revelation of her innermost thoughts, and immediately spoke up to stop Sebastian's interrogation.

Sebastian, understanding the girl's mind, didn't question Emilia further, but he believed that sooner or later, this naive girl would fall completely in love with him.

"Kitten, I want you."

After a few minutes of silence, Sebastian finally spoke out what was on his mind.

His body was swelling rapidly, and he couldn't control himself. Emilia's tiny body was like opium, addicting and captivating him.

As soon as he was near her, he constantly yearned to take advantage of her beauty. Perhaps it was the love in his heart that made him want to do those things...

Sebastian didn't know if he fell in love with Emilia simply because of his physical attachment.

Or perhaps this restless and unruly heart had begun to slowly settle, trying to give to Emilia...
