"What's wrong with him?" Rye asked.
"Nothing let's go," Yuno said. He walked away and Rye followed him. They went up the stairs to the top.
Past the market was a blacksmith's shop. Rye looked at a plaque that hung above the door. On it were cutouts of two swords crossed against each other.
"A blacksmith's shop?" he asked.
"Yes, you will need something to protect yourself with. We don't want a similar situation like yesterday," Yuno explained.
They entered the shop, and an old man stood behind a counter. Like an ape, he had hair all over his body.
"Hey, Yuno do you have anything interesting for me?"
The old man got out from behind the counter and ran to kneel at Yuno's feet.
"Please!" the old man screamed.
"Good morning to you too," Yuno said as he helped him up.
"Yuno please, I'm so bored. Do you know what I made yesterday? A pair of scissors," the blacksmith lamented.
Yuno chuckled, "It is all his choice,"
The man ran to a room behind the counter.
"That's Oldman Fet. He is very passionate about his craft," Yuno mentioned as the old man left.
Oldman fet came out with a couple of weapons wrapped in a cloth. A dart fell nearly hitting him on the foot.
He placed the weapons on the counter and flung the cloth.
"You might need this," the old man said, handing Rye a sword. Immediately as he grabbed it the blade of the sword flew off.
It pierces a wall behind Fet only missing him by an inch. The old man flicked his finger at it.
"See, quality"
"I just want an ordinary sword," Rye said, and Fet took one of the many swords hanging on his wall and handed it to Rye.
"Boring," he groaned.
"Maybe next time," Rye said as he collected the sword.
He ran his fingers on the blade.
"You should try it out," Yuno suggested.
Rye swung the long sword and Yuno and Fet ducked. He knocked some items over and broke some glass.
"I didn't mean here," Yuno took a scabbard and handed it to Rye.
"I am sorry," he said looking at Fet who nodded at him.
Yuno took him back to the array which they used to teleport to level one.
They appeared in a field of grass four feet long. Rye swung his sword in the grass but with every swing, the grass wrapped around his sword.
"Like this," Yuno said and swung his sword. He cleared a path with one swing.
Rye tried again but the grass caught his sword again.
"Slow and steady, like you are rowing a boat," Yuno said and swung his sword again. Rye tried again this time the grass fell.
"How about something that can fight back," Yuno suggested and Rye agreed. They walked through the tall grass until they were out.
On shorter grass, they stood opposite each other and drew their weapons.
"You are only going to use one of your swords? Don't you dare go easy on me," he pointed his sword at Yuno
Rye swung and Yuno caught the sword inside his ring and redirected it. Rye knew he had a range advantage.
He kept his distance and kept attacking Yuno. He blocked, parried, or evaded all his attacks but could not get close enough to get one of his own.
'How did he defeat Rasol?' Yuno thought as they sparred.
'He must be hiding his true strength,' Yuno took out his second sword. He blocked and got closer.
He placed the second sword on Rye's neck. They went sparring but every time his sword ended up at Rye's neck.
'He still does not feel his life is in danger," Yuno thought, and scales appeared on his face. He lunged at Rye and he blocked.
He stepped back to keep his distance but Yuno kept closing the gap. He swung his sword at his head.
'I'm going to kill him,' Yuno thought and tried to pull back. He was less than an inch away from his neck.
It was only a flash but he saw it. His eyes sank, his cheekbones became prominent and his face pale. Rye swung the sword and knocked Yuno's sword out of his hands.
