Avalon woke up. His eyes were wide open. Something must have happened. And yet he could not remember. He was taking a series of breaths, trying to calm himself .
A few seconds ago he had died.
He could feel the pain that was caused to his body. He knew it, he remembered he had died. He placed his hand on his chest and he could hear the fast sound. He was scared and afraid.
There was no pain, no injuries, no wound, everything was smooth, he was fine. He touched his face, trying to assess his body, and he felt he was younger, like a teenager. His clothes were a bit old, but other than that he felt okay. In fact he felt stronger and different than his former weak body.
"I'm alive..that's what matters now" His eyes was filled with rage
He could remember how he went lifelessly on the ground, how his family were killed and betrayal of the gods vividly and he couldn't ever forget it.
He looked around trying to figure out where he was because this place was strange to him.
This was not the place he died. Where he was now was a place full of sand. The atmosphere was hot and dusty.
Avalon covered his eyes from the wind trying to see clearly and he saw huge tall sand pyramids from afar.
He rose up from his feet and used his hands to dust off the sand from his body.
Apart from the loud noise of the sand, the desert was quiet. Then something went wrong. Avalon felt a pain in his chest.
Pyramid from afar. He stood up and dusted the sand from his body. Apart from the loud noise of the sand, the desert was quiet.
Then, something went wrong. Avalon felt a pain in his chest. His head hurt as well. It was banging and all of a sudden, he heard a voice in his head.

.....
'The system wants me dead?' Avalon thought feeling confused.
"Avalon, you need to run, now!" A similar voice spoke in his head, and he was confused. What the hell? How could someone be talking in his voice? And there was no one around him.
He tried to figure it out, but then an interface popped up before his eyes bright, flashing signals and a red warning text over it. He closed his eyes and opened them again, shaking his head, trying to guess what exactly was going on.
"What is going on? Who are you?" he said, hoping he could check if there was anyone nearby playing a trick on him. But there was no one. All he saw was dust and sand.
Everything felt like a dream… or a game that had suddenly come to life in his world. Before, there had been only destruction and chaos. Now, it looked like he had a system inside him.
Still unable to figure it out, the ground began to shake. The sand below was sinking into the earth and forming a deep hole. Avalon moved back quickly, trying to avoid what was coming.
The voice spoke again, sharper this time. "Oh, you'll be dead by the time I start explaining to you. You better run now." And before Avalon could even think of replying, the ground where he had just been standing exploded.
A massive creature broke through the surface. Its long scaly body slithered through the air. It had the body of a giant serpent and three snapping heads with glowing red eyes. Its roar was deep and loud, shaking the air around them.
Avalon didn't wait. He turned and ran as fast as he could but the beast was faster.
A large alert flashed in front of him.
[Name: Septicon]
[Title: Pyramid Gatekeeper]
[Level: Mystic Beast-3rd Rank]
[Race: Hydra]
[Affinity: Wind]
[Weakened State]
He saw the information of the beast Mystic level? what was that?
Avalon could feel the pressure from the beast closing in behind him. Each movement of the Hydra shook the ground, sending fear crawling down his spine.
.
He knew he couldn't fight it. He didn't have powers nor weapons but he had a strong will to survive.
'I just came back alive..I'm not going to die again!'
"I can't keep running… it's going to catch up soon." Avalon said with his unstable breathing pattern.
"Well, you can't win either," the voice in his head replied flatly.
"That's a third-rank beast don't be delusional it will rip you to pieces till there's nothing left of you"
'Was the detail necessary?'
"You mean us?"
"No you" She replied
Avalon didn't respond again. Then he smirked. He look at the countdown time and about 2 mins were gone already.
"Who said anything about winning?"
It was crazy. But Avalon was good at adapting. He didn't need to defeat the Hydra. He just had to stall and find a chance to survive from this beast if it meant hiding.
"Show me my stats," he commanded.
A light-blue screen flashed before his eyes:

'Wait, why was I unstable?' He thought but then his eyes scrolled and stopped at another spot.
'I have Lightning powers' Avalon's eyes lit up. He was thinking he was powerless before
Maybe his demigod powers were gone, but his affinity hadn't vanished and that was enough for him to survive..at least thats what's he hoped
Blue sparks danced in his eyes. His body lit up with crackling energy as lightning wrapped around his limbs and his whole body.
Then he stopped running and turned around at the beast.
The Hydra let out a roar and struck three heads lunging like missiles in great speed and full power that when it landed the ground shook.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
But each time, Avalon vanished just in time. A blur of motion, faster than before.
One wrong move and he'd be dead. He knew that. But speed was his edge. The beast was massive but slower to react.
Avalon dashed forward, dust kicking up around him. He wasn't aiming for the Hydra's heads; he ran behind it.
The creature sensed the move and swung its massive tail.
Avalon jumped, twisting mid-air to avoid the attack which missed by inches.
While airborne, he stretched out his hands and gathered lightning in his palm.
Crackling energy surged from a small proportion and then it increased in side and Avalon channelled more into it
Then he launched it at the Hydra's back. A series of lightning bolts shot out from his palm and struck the back of the beast continuously
ZAP! ZAP! ZAP!
The bolt struck hard, but the beast didn't even flinch. The attack caused no real harm.
Avalon landed on one knee, panting. The Hydra turned, all three heads snarling in fury.
Avalon felt a sudden chill crawl across his skin. Goosebumps was all over his body
The beast was angry now. And it wasn't playing anymore.
"I can't believe it didn't do any damage "
The Hydra growled low, its three mouths opening wide as it began sucking in air. Avalon's eyes widened.
"It's going to fire something…something big," he muttered.
He turned and ran again, sprinting across the desert sand.
'This is not good..it look really bad'
The air behind him was shifting, growing sharp. It stung his skin.
"You actually managed to piss the beast," the female voice in his head mocked.
"Tell me something I don't know," Avalon shot back, his breath was unstable.
The Hydra watched its prey run, but it wasn't worried. It had toyed with him enough.
From its mouths, it fired three massive orbs of compressed wind deadly, spinning with invisible force.
Avalon looked back and jumped with all the strength he had that his legs felt pain all around it.
The first blast hit the ground and it was terrifying. It scattered the spot it met and made a huge hole in the ground.
Boom!
Even without a direct hit, the force slammed into him, flinging him across the air like a ragdoll. He crashed into the sand, his body skidding, his clothes torn to pieces.
[Critical Hit!]
"That was a close escape and it's still marked critical. The other two will kill you," the voice warned coldly.
He looked at the timer again it was counting down to 30 seconds but he doubt if he would last that longer
'I just came back from the dead… Am I really about to die again? Avalon thought, blood running from his arm as he groaned and tried to move.
Before he could rise, two more blasts exploded.
BOOM. BOOM.
He flinched but there was no pain in his body apart from the previous ones he had gotten.
He was sure that the beast shot up the att but he didn't feel the impact or damage and the good part was he was still alive
Dust clouded the air around him, but through the dust, he could only see a blurred shadow figured.
Someone was there was standing in front of him!
