As Kyson entered the gate, he was welcomed by a group of soldiers and adventurers.
Standing in front of them, Captain Nevir stood straight with a solemn expression.
With his eyes focused on Kyson, he saluted.
Following his action, the soldiers behind him also saluted. Even the adventurers, albeit clumsy, saluted to Kyson.
Seeing this, Kyson fell into a daze for a moment and didn't know how to react.
After Nevir put down his hand, he walked up to Kyson and smiled.
"Thank you for your hard work!"
"From your clothes, we all know that you're not a resident of our town. But still, you're the first one to head to battle."
"For that, me, with my fellow residents, are grateful to you."
Kyson just stared at him for a while, then nodded.
"It's now a big deal. I wasn't even the one who ended it."
At his words, Nevir shook his head.
"Maybe for you it wasn't a big deal. But for the whole Vitri Town, it was."
