Chapter 49 - Opposite Direction

Colton's POV

She stared at me for a while without saying anything but I could see it in her eyes that she had so much to ask. What exactly should I do for her? I wanted to know if she wanted anything and I tightened my hand around hers, trying to comfort her that I was there right beside her. Once she finally relaxed, I sighed as I watched her eyelids slowly drop.

I stepped out of the building afterwards to take in the fresh air. We needed to leave this place immediately. Everything about this place gave me the feeling that made me feel uncomfortable.

"Good morning," she greeted once she came out.

"How was your night?" I asked while she slowly sat on the bed.

"Fine, just that my head is aching so much," she hissed as she rubbed her temples.

"You cried a lot yesterday," I told her and immediately everything became quiet until she turned to look at me. I could see that she was hesitating to speak about it. Whatever she discovered yesterday, she shouldn't be in a hurry to tell me.
