Hazel's Pov
I reasoned that if I could leave the Pack with some trackers, I could get there in half a day. That evening, as we lay on the bed after a very long day at work, I approached him with the subject.
"I think we need to go back to the village and check on the witch. I'm worried about her safety." He looked up from the book he had been reading with a furrowed face.
"But, is that really necessary? We have so much to do to prepare for the ceremony, and we can't afford to waste time on wild goose chases." I could hear the reluctance in his voice, but I knew that I couldn't ignore my gut feeling.
"I know, but I can't shake the feeling that something is very wrong. I need to make sure she's okay." There was a brief moment of silenceas he considered my words. Finally, he sighed and nodded.
"You'll be going with the generals and the strongest trackers. I can't compromise your safety. If it means that much to you, I won't stand in your way." He said, possessively.
