Chapter 49: Go, Kakashi!
"It's so lively," Rin Nohara said with a sigh, looking around.
The streets were filled with students heading to the Ninja Academy, both returning students and new ones.
"We're in the second year now. Should the first-year new students call us senpai?" Kurenai Yūhi's eyes lit up as she suddenly thought of something.
Hoshikawa was too strong, and she had already given up on making him her underling, but the first-year new students could give her the satisfaction of being a leader.
"Logically, yes," Rin Nohara nodded, then added, "I wonder if there are any powerful new students this year."

His only role was to interrogate Itachi Uchiha with Inabi Uchiha and Yashiro Uchiha after Shisui Uchiha's suicide.
"Who are you?" Tei Uchiha asked, sizing him up.
"Obito Uchiha!" Obito Uchiha's expression froze, then he shouted in frustration. "The juniors nowadays are so rude! You should call me senpai!"
"Oh, it's you," Tei Uchiha snorted. "You loser, you're a disgrace to the Uchiha clan!"
"What did you say?!" Obito Uchiha glared at him.
"Isn't it true?" Tei Uchiha said without any fear. "Every Uchiha who enrolls is in the top three, except for you."
"I... I... I was just going easy on them!" Obito Uchiha was a little embarrassed but didn't lose his momentum in his words.
Tei Uchiha was telling the truth.
Because of his poor grades, he wasn't well-regarded among the younger generation of the Uchiha.
"The weak are the ones who need excuses," Tei Uchiha said, not bothering with him. "Who is Hoshikawa?"
"What do you want with him?" Obito Uchiha glanced at Rin Nohara, puffed out his chest, and said, "I'll handle anything that needs to be handled!"
"You can't," Tei Uchiha shook his head and said bluntly. "I'm here to challenge him and reclaim the number one spot that belongs to the Uchiha."
"Damn it!" Obito Uchiha's body trembled with rage.
So what if you're number one?!
Why is everyone looking for Hoshikawa?
"Go on, Kakashi," Hoshikawa said after a moment. "Don't waste too much time."
"...?" A question mark appeared on Kakashi Hatake's young face.
Am I a summoned animal or something?
"Can't you beat him?" Hoshikawa asked, blinking.
"It's easy," Kakashi Hatake said in a deep voice.
"Arrogant!" Tei Uchiha reacted and said angrily.
"You're too noisy." Kakashi Hatake drew his short blade, and his body disappeared in an instant.
As Tei Uchiha's body moved, he felt a coldness on his neck.
He instinctively looked down and saw the short blade pressed against his skin, a faint stinging sensation.
Kakashi Hatake had used a simple strike, and the effect was excellent.
"H-how is that possible?" Cold sweat dripped from Tei Uchiha's forehead.
"You're not much better than Obito," Kakashi Hatake commented.
"Kakashi!" Obito Uchiha asked, his eyes bloodshot. "What do you mean by that?"
"I don't mean anything," Kakashi Hatake said calmly, withdrawing his blade.
"When I awaken my Sharingan, you'll all lose!" Obito Uchiha said, gritting his teeth.
"Me too!" Tei Uchiha said, as if reminded, his slump gone.
"Let's go," Hoshikawa said, walking past him and into the school.
"Are the Uchiha always so... gutsy?" Kurenai Yūhi asked in a whisper as she caught up to him.
"Just don't hang out with them," Hoshikawa said casually.
The Uchiha are all crazy.
And becoming friends with them made it easy to be used as a resource to awaken their Sharingan.
"Okay," Kurenai Yūhi nodded, glanced at him, and with a slight blush, said, "I'll hang out with you."
Hoshikawa was a little stunned.
The kids in the ninja world are definitely mature for their age.
But... it wasn't just Kurenai Yūhi who had ulterior motives.
"Hoshikawa-kun!"
"You've gotten even more handsome in two months!"
"Hoshikawa-kun looked at me! Aahhh!"
The moment Hoshikawa entered the classroom, he was greeted with a warm welcome.
