Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: The Loneliness Was to Blame

Chapter 57: The Loneliness Was to Blame

Hoshikawa, of course, would not go and seek death.

His small body was not enough to fill the Nine-Tails' teeth.

But judging from Kushina Uzumaki's condition, she had not fully transformed into the Nine-Tails, but only into a half-Nine-Tails with five tails.

With Tsunade and Minato Namikaze there, there should be no major problems.

Hoshikawa was relieved, and at the same time, a little envious.

The amount of chakra was simply endless, many times more than his.

Although he had a cheat, his chakra amount was only slightly above average, not a lot.

He wondered when he would get an entry related to chakra.

Hoshikawa didn't have to wait long before Kushina Uzumaki returned to normal.

He quickly walked over and glanced at them. None of the three were hurt.

"Hoshikawa," Kushina Uzumaki said, a little embarrassed. "I must have scared you, right? I'm sorry."

"No," Hoshikawa shook his head.

"I've always said this brat is audacious," Tsunade said with a chuckle.

As her student, he was qualified to know about the Nine-Tails, so they didn't keep it from him.

Besides, Hoshikawa had already seen the half-Nine-Tails Kushina Uzumaki, so there was no need to hide it anymore.

"As expected of Lady Tsunade's student," Minato Namikaze said with a warm smile.

Hoshikawa felt a sense of familiarity.

No wonder he was called the "Little Sun."

But... he quickly thought of Minato Namikaze's other nickname, "Qīngshuǐ."

We Hokage players are so good at this!

"You can already control the Nine-Tails, can't you? Why did it go out of control again today?" Tsunade asked, looking at Kushina Uzumaki.

"I was trying to borrow its power," Kushina Uzumaki explained.

Borrow?

Hoshikawa complained inwardly. That was clearly stealing.

In the original story, the relationship between Kushina Uzumaki and the Nine-Tails was very bad. The chains would be used on it at the slightest provocation.

"Be careful," Tsunade said with a sigh.

She had wanted to dissuade her, but as a Jinchuriki, she had to master the power of the Nine-Tails.

This was not only good for her but also beneficial to Konoha.

"I know," Kushina Uzumaki said, nudging Minato Namikaze with her elbow. "With the Flying Thunder God Technique, there won't be any problems."

"Yeah," Minato Namikaze nodded.

In the original story, the Flying Thunder God Technique could even teleport a Tailed Beast Bomb.

"What is the Nine-Tails?" Hoshikawa asked, pretending to be hearing about the Nine-Tails for the first time.

"According to legends, the Sage of Six Paths had nine powerful summoning beasts, categorized from one to nine tails based on the number of tails they possessed," Tsunade said, a look of reminiscence on her face. "The Nine-Tails is in the Hidden Leaf Village."

"The First Hokage sealed the Nine-Tails," Minato Namikaze added. "And the ninja used as a vessel is called a Jinchuriki."

"I am the current Nine-Tails' Jinchuriki," Kushina Uzumaki said with a complicated expression.

Although every ninja village treated their Jinchuriki as a secret weapon, they were often treated poorly because Jinchuriki frequently went out of control.

Ever since Kushina Uzumaki became a Jinchuriki, she had been virtually under house arrest.

"I have a question," Hoshikawa hesitated for a moment before asking. "Does the Nine-Tails have intelligence?"

"Yes," Kushina Uzumaki replied. "Its intelligence is comparable to that of a human."

"Then why not cooperate with it?" Hoshikawa asked in return.

"Cooperate?" Kushina Uzumaki was stunned, then shook her head. "It only has resentment for me. There is no way to cooperate."

"I think it's worth a try," Hoshikawa said in a deep voice. "If you cooperate, you won't have to take such a big risk to borrow its power."

Tsunade looked surprised.

But it had to be said that this line of thinking was indeed original.

Neither of the two Nine-Tails Jinchuriki had ever considered the Nine-Tails' feelings, or rather, the Konoha higher-ups hadn't considered them either. They only wanted power.

Minato Namikaze's eyes lit up.

This was indeed an ingenious idea.

"The problem is we can't release it," Minato Namikaze quickly grasped the key point. "What kind of cooperation can there be then?"

"I don't know," Hoshikawa said after a pause. "But since it has intelligence, maybe it has the same preferences as humans."

"Let's teach it how to gamble!" Tsunade blurted out.

She had never gambled with a Tailed Beast before.

"That sounds interesting," Kushina Uzumaki was immediately intrigued.

The Nine-Tails was lonely, and so was she.

She was confined within the barrier all day, and the number of people she was allowed to interact with did not exceed ten.

Now that she had the Nine-Tails, it was like she had a new toy.

"We can't send physical objects into the seal space," Minato Namikaze said, frowning slightly.

"Huh?" Kushina Uzumaki asked, a little disappointed. "Then what should we do?"

"Chakra is a universal tool," Hoshikawa said after a moment of thought. "You can use chakra to create a simulation."

"That's a great idea!" Kushina Uzumaki's eyes lit up. "Simulate what?"

"What do you do when you're bored?" Hoshikawa asked in return.

"I read books or play games," Kushina Uzumaki said, a look of confusion on her face. "Would a Tailed Beast like that?"

"I don't know," Hoshikawa said with a smile. "Let's try it."

"Then let's have it read a book first!" Kushina Uzumaki walked back and forth for a few steps.

"You can't let it finish it all at once. You have to keep it hooked," Hoshikawa suggested.

"What book do you think we should give it to read?" Kushina Uzumaki suddenly remembered something, took out a book, and asked. "How about this one?"

Minato Namikaze saw this and smiled like the sun again.

The book she was holding was The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi, which was written by Jiraiya, his favorite author.

"I think that's perfect," Hoshikawa thought back to his past life.

When he first started reading online novels, he thought every single one was good.

It was only after reading for a long time that his standards increased.

The Nine-Tails had never read a book before, so it didn't matter what it read.

The most important thing was that it was too lonely.

After being sealed for so long, anyone would be lonely.

Having something to read was already a good thing.

Of course, Hoshikawa wasn't sure if it would work.

It didn't matter if it didn't work. After all, there was no loss.

But if it did work, Hoshikawa could improve his favorability with Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze, giving him another layer of security in Konoha.

"I'll go talk to it now," Kushina Uzumaki said, closing her eyes.

Her consciousness sank into the dark space.

The Nine-Tails smelled Kushina Uzumaki's chakra and immediately became enraged.

It crashed into the iron gate formed by the seal and roared, "You despicable human! I will eat you!"

A gust of wind rushed toward her.

Kushina Uzumaki retreated to the furthest position and began to form words with chakra.

She was from the Uzumaki clan and had also trained in sealing jutsu.

Both her chakra amount and chakra control were enough to support her doing this.

"Big fox, remember to read it," Kushina Uzumaki said, then left the sealing space.

"What is that?" The Nine-Tails subconsciously looked over. It wanted to see what she was up to.
